I'd absolutely love to get JJ (and get rid of Daniel Jones). 

I would never wish the Giants, the NY market, or NY in general upon JJ. He deserves much better. 

While watching these games, it was a bit depressing to think, Michigan could hypothetically have had Hunter Dickinson and Caleb Love on the team this year. Might have won more than 8 games. 

I don't think it was "too big for him." I think he's just a better NBA coach. No shame in that, not many seamlessly transition from one to the other. 

I cannot say why exactly, but this is one of the funniest posts I've read on this site. I'm literally laughing out loud and having to explain why to the guys around me. Well done, Faux. 

Worked for Pitino. Now I, like many here, hate Pitino and think he's a sleezebag, but he called out his players by name and was widely condemned for it, but since he did St. John's is 6-0 and probably going to the tournament. 

Wait, couldn't we use that as a selling point? Michigan seemingly has no interest in taking part in NIL either! /s

The lowest seed ever to win the tournament was 8 (Nova in '85). 12 of the past 16 winners were 1 seeds. Since 2000 only 2 winners were seeded higher than a 3. There's no need to let in more teams because we're potentially missing out on some amazing Cinderella stories.  

Expanding the tourney would be a pure money grab that only dilutes the product.

Pitino is a total scumbag. Michigan doesn't need to stoop to that level to be successful. The comparison of Harbaugh's supposed misdeeds to those of Pitino is absurd.

Eternally grateful to him, but he's moved on, not going to suddenly care about the Chargers. 

I laughed, then thought it won't be so funny when it actually happens. 

I dislike the job Warde has done as much as the next complainer here, but you can't pin this on him. 

Best summation yet. In this era where the best are one-and-done players, he gave Michigan 3 very good years. He then had an opportunity to make some good money and have a legitimate chance to win something. A lot of you are misplacing your anger.

People are upset and looking for somebody to blame. Harbaugh made this decision. Either be grateful and thank Harbaugh for all he's done and wish him well, or be mad at him for leaving. Either way, this isn't on Warde. 

OSU also has a much easier (on paper) schedule. 

Their non-conference games are: Akron, WMU, and Marshall. 

The only "new" conference team they have is Oregon (granted a good team, but they dodge the rest of them, unlike us). 

And they get Michigan at home. 

Yeah, don't count out Florida State. They're stocking up on ex Bama players. It's like they figured if they got left out of the CFP and Bama took their spot, maybe if their team is comprised of Bama players they'll get to take advantage of that next season.

They're both kind of the same to me: watching a parade of great, high-end specimens that I'd absolutely love to have, but sadly know I can't afford. 

I think Bursley is on to something. Saban foresaw this day six years ago. Knowing Michigan would ruin the final game of his illustrious career by beating him in an epic game in the Rose Bowl, he put Taulia in just enough games for the season to count against his eligibility. Patiently, he waited six years for the last laugh. 

Well played, Coach Saban, well played. 

Disappointing. 

The buy out delay is a very clear indication that Michigan is Plan B. He wants the Michigan contract in his back pocket as a fall back plan in case the NFL job offer he wants doesn't materialize. 

If he wants to go to the NFL, then go. He's earned that right. No hard feelings after all he's done for Michigan. He still probably goes down as the best Michigan coach ever. But treating Michigan like a fall back option if he has to come back if what he really wants doesn't work out is disappointing. 

Love how OSU fans were so concerned with rules violations at the same time they were literally buying Judkins. 

Just hope this isn't an "I have no idea who the coach will be next year" decommittment. 

Starting to come over to the tired-of-wondering-each-offseason camp. Eternally grateful to Harbaugh for what he's done. Best coach in the school's history in my opinion. But, as they said, mission complete. If he wants to go, then go, and I hope he gets that Super Bowl ring. 

Hopefully he makes similarly brilliant moves for OSU. 

Crazy how they don't even have to hide their intentions to toss bags of cash (and perhaps Lamborghinis) at kids these days.

Although I hold out hope for: Harbaugh returns; JJ doesn't hire an agent, gets told he won't go until the fourth round... but Carolina really likes him and is threatening to draft him in the middle rounds. JJ decides to come back after he's promised Michigan is going out to get the two 5-star WRs that decommitted from Alabama so he can light it up next season, then go #1 overall in next year's draft. 

Any of you guys have a Lamborghini you wouldn't mind loaning out?

If you're referring to the National Championship game, I agree. Not to take anything away from Corum, and Corum absolutely deserves all the accolades that came his way. But Edwards' first two touches for touchdowns were huge-- they set the tone for the game and (although we obviously didn't realize it then) were all the points we needed to win the game. Nobody could've argued had Edwards received the OMVP. 

That's fine. As long as it wasn't a cheeseburger they'll be fine.

As much as I'd love to see them stay, just as you've said, they deserve to chase their NFL dreams. They've done more than we could've every rightfully asked of them, and for that, I'll be eternally grateful to them. There's nothing left at the college level for them, and I hope they're wildly successful at the next level. 

If Harbaugh leaves, Warde takes the brunt of the blame, probably unfairly. Harbaugh is going to do what he wants to do, and I don't think anything Warde does makes any real difference. 

I too am a member of JRell's line of thinking club. 

Many FSU fans have been using this similar argument for some time now. To buttress their "FSU got screwed out of the playoffs" argument, many of them love to throw in, "they let Michigan in and they cheated!" While I agree these penalties are complete crap, it's fun watching their mental gymnastics now as they attempt to explain why their penalties are unjust and the result of retribution by the NCAA, while ours are fair. 

Oh I don't think he's going there for Saban; I think he's going there for a million other reasons.

Fine by me, too! But like you said and I always thought, the powers that be seem intent on removing the weather from influencing the game. 

It's my understanding that the venues for the first games of the 12-team playoff will be selected by the lower-seeded team. It should be interesting to watch the seeding shenanigans to help SEC teams avoid having to play in cold weather stadiums. 

I think the problem with NY is the stadium equipped to handle a game of this magnitude would be MetLife, and it's open air. Weather in NY around this time is known to suck. 

I think OSU fans are spoiled and ran off a pretty good QB whose biggest sin was following Fields and Stroud. 

My favorite part of the game was the in-game commitment where the kid chose "the University of LSU." 

I still feel awful for the guy, even more so now if this is what he's resorting to. Imagine things being so bad that you think you'll find refuge in Columbus. 

Given what it's assumed Ole Miss pays in NIL, this sounds to me like somebody came in with a HUGE bag and lured him away. It'll be interesting to see which team opened their checkbook. 

But they didn't pick it.
