It is true Brandon expressed interest in Caleb Porter but talks immediately stalled when Brandon discussed salary. Brandon wanted a new "elite" coach for the same price he was paying Burns (approx $75k). Firing Burns was a huge mistake as he had a top 5 class signed and ready to come in the following season. Looks awesome. Any chance they're using LED technology? They look very modern and much brighter than your traditional stadium lighting. I didn't read anything to that effect, but I would think they would've at least considered it.
Great to not only see Michigan win, but completely dominate. Hats off to Coach Steve Burns and all the players. They've had top 10 recruiting classes the last 2 years and might have the #1 recruiting class coming in next year.

I tore mine right knee up in 1999 playing soccer in the Coliseum. Apparently, that hard blue rubber floor isn't the best surface...doesn't give an inch! I can honestly say I lost a step in speed and was also subconsciously hesitant to plant on my right foot. I really don't think people who suffer ACL injures are ever the same. I'm hoping I'm wrong because I want to see Vincent Smith become a WorldBeater. And he's an amazing athlete so perhaps his recovery will be much more complete. William McGahee came back pretty strong and there are numerous other examples. All the best to Vincent!
I share the same sentiments as many on this board. The more I watch the Dutch, the more I don't like them. Too many flops, too much complaining to the ref. Spain plays hard and they don't go seeking calls. Xavi & Villa are absolute class. I also liked how they didn't celebrate too much after the semifinal, as if their business was not complete. Spain seems like they're on a mission and I actually think they'll domiante the final....Spain 3-0.
I played against Defender Jay Demerit when he was with Illinois-Chicago, now the USMNT. There's a guy that goes unnoticed, undrafted in the MLS, then finds himself playing in the Premier League and World Cup.
Harkes had a great career and was one of the pioneers for American soccer. I just don't enjoy listening to him during the matches. I almost feel like he puts on a weird accent or that most of his comments almost sound like questions.
That was a great line during the US/Slovenia game, almost comical, "A plot has been hatched!" I felt like it was the right humor for the moment because Donovan and Torres were clearly up to something.
Did anyone notice the post-match exchange between the head coaches Domenech and Parreira? It looked a bit icy. I can only speculate Domenech was unhappy with the referee issuing a red card for Gourcuff's elbow in the 1st half? What a complete shit show for France. Zidane should step in and restore order.

Looks awesome. Any chance they're using LED technology? They look very modern and much brighter than your traditional stadium lighting. I didn't read anything to that effect, but I would think they would've at least considered it.
Great to not only see Michigan win, but completely dominate. Hats off to Coach Steve Burns and all the players. They've had top 10 recruiting classes the last 2 years and might have the #1 recruiting class coming in next year.

I think THE_KNOWLEDGE may have only looked on page 1 of the comments. I dare not try to upset THE_KNOWLEDGE for I do not wish to feel his wrath. To be a protege THE_KNOWLEDGE would be a dream come true. I'm sitting here behind this desk looking for a greater purpose.

I tore mine right knee up in 1999 playing soccer in the Coliseum. Apparently, that hard blue rubber floor isn't the best surface...doesn't give an inch! I can honestly say I lost a step in speed and was also subconsciously hesitant to plant on my right foot. I really don't think people who suffer ACL injures are ever the same. I'm hoping I'm wrong because I want to see Vincent Smith become a WorldBeater. And he's an amazing athlete so perhaps his recovery will be much more complete. William McGahee came back pretty strong and there are numerous other examples. All the best to Vincent!
I share the same sentiments as many on this board. The more I watch the Dutch, the more I don't like them. Too many flops, too much complaining to the ref. Spain plays hard and they don't go seeking calls. Xavi & Villa are absolute class. I also liked how they didn't celebrate too much after the semifinal, as if their business was not complete. Spain seems like they're on a mission and I actually think they'll domiante the final....Spain 3-0.
I played against Defender Jay Demerit when he was with Illinois-Chicago, now the USMNT. There's a guy that goes unnoticed, undrafted in the MLS, then finds himself playing in the Premier League and World Cup.
Harkes had a great career and was one of the pioneers for American soccer. I just don't enjoy listening to him during the matches. I almost feel like he puts on a weird accent or that most of his comments almost sound like questions.
That was a great line during the US/Slovenia game, almost comical, "A plot has been hatched!" I felt like it was the right humor for the moment because Donovan and Torres were clearly up to something.
Did anyone notice the post-match exchange between the head coaches Domenech and Parreira? It looked a bit icy. I can only speculate Domenech was unhappy with the referee issuing a red card for Gourcuff's elbow in the 1st half? What a complete shit show for France. Zidane should step in and restore order.
