It was uninsured.  The Nationals are on the hook for all of it.  The retirement agreement deferred his payments, spreading them out longer.  I don't know the details of MLB contract law, but one has to assume their union has guaranteed contracts. 81 home games a year will do that for you.

This comment seems purposely…

This comment seems purposely condescending.  I'm over 4 and played more than 4 times in my life and I strongly disagree.  I've played my entire life and at a major junior level. When I graduated I could have gone the junior route in hopes of being an over aged college hockey player but I chose soccer instead.  At high levels, defensive zone hockey sucks and is super hard/tiring.  To be stuck in your zone and finally get it out only for the refs to miss the call is deflating.  Millimeter or not, it was out.  This is a tell me you haven't played high level hockey but still think you're smarter than everyone else comment.

That was really hard to…

That was really hard to listen to.  Nobody was allowed to finish their thought before Seth cut them off and talked over them until they gave up.

They talked about that…

They talked about that during our game I believe.  Fleck promised him he wouldn't recruit a QB before or after him.  Making that kid the only QB brought in for 3 cycles.  Another example of why coaches should never do that.

When they were interviewing Fleck after the Iowa win, he mentioned how they had to have a sit down with him after the North Carolina debacle.   It was something like an all day meeting, tears were shed, come to Jesus type thing.  Made me think he was a little too comfortable knowing he was it as QB options went and didn't have to put in the work.

The insider aspect of the…

The insider aspect of the information GoJG posts wasn't my main point.  I don't care about that.  He could have been anybody and I would still think you 3 treated him/her harshly.  You mentioned valuing readers privacy but the admonishing given by Rob was very public for some reason.  Like it had been building and erupted.  LSA said "fuck that guy" for all to see because he couldn't be bothered to check out whether he used a signature before he admittedly got sensitive and lashed out.  I don't know what was said to you in the emails but from my perspective the mods of this board didn't treat GoJG very well either.  And everyone seems so indifferent about it. The values I expect are for everyone to treat people with respect and civility but I didn't get the impression you guys were doing that here.  Banning someone and basically telling them to fuck off isn't very nice in any situation, especially when you're mistaken.  If GoJG was as mean in the emails as you say, then I'm sorry you went through shit too.  Nobody was being very kind here.

You gentlemen really don't…

You gentlemen really don't seem to like people that much.  Nor do you make this site very inviting for people to want to participate.  Maybe take a minute and look at it from his perspective.  He is an insider who gives the board info.  He has been doing it for years.  All of a sudden he gets publicly dragged by Rob for high jacking threads.  Rob's point was valid but his viciousness in delivering it was a bit much.  Then the 1st time GoJG does exactly what he was asked to do he gets banned for using a signature he always uses because another mod gets triggered in their feels and takes it out on him.  Now the site editor is calling him a whiny prick for all to see.  Well done guys, way to be respectful and professional.

I signed up last night…

I signed up last night specifically for the game, so this was my 1st experience with the app.  Seemed no different than any other streaming app we use.  I counted about 3 buffering issues that lasted 2 seconds or so but didn't miss a play. The overturned interception had no sound for the 1st 2 plays and that was annoying but that happens with cable sometimes too.

As an aside, if you have spectrum cable you can get 12 months of free Peacock and 90 days if only spectrum internet.  I hadn't seen that mentioned in the lead up to the game and only found out last night while I was researching my options.

I wonder if this has…

I wonder if this has anything to do with pre NIL ncaa rules.  I don't know the timeline of the book being published and Michael still being on the Ole Miss football team.  Seems to me he wouldn't be able to get profits from the book while still in school.  The conservatorship was a way around that.  I can see that being how it started.

This is confusing.  I saw…

This is confusing.  I saw the post not long after it went up and from what I remember it was someone asking if anyone had seen the movie and could give an informative review.  I then ignored it and missed the alleged shit show.  I don’t see how that is advertising any more than the current Barbenheimer thread is or the Mission Impossible one from yesterday.  What makes that different? There are media threads all the time with reviews given that aren't deemed advertising.

I felt kinda bad for Iowa. …

I felt kinda bad for Iowa.  They got pretty good starting pitching but couldn't hold leads in the late game innings.  Won 1st game without much issue.  2nd game against seeded Indiana State they lost a 4-2 lead in the 8th and lost 7-4.  In their 3rd game, an elimination game against North Carolina if I remember correctly, they lost a 5-2 lead in the 9th.  They ended up winning in the 13th, but had to use next games probable starter to do it.  The losers bracket already taxes your pitching with the extra game, last thing you need is extra innings.  They were tied 6-6 in the 6th in the rematch against Indiana State but didn't have the pitching.  If only their late game pitching moves hadn't let them down, that might have been a much different regional for them.

The other thing I found interesting was the complete implosions that happened to some of the higher seeds.  They didn't just lose, they got destroyed.  Oklahoma State lost 18-4 and Arkansas lost 20-5.  Auburn and Oklahoma State didn't even win a game.

That means nothing to me. …

That means nothing to me.  Congrats on thinking so highly of yourself that you announce your neg points.

I am pretty sure I mentioned I wasn't defending the post or actions.  Not like the mods couldn't see the response his post got in the discord server.  It was met with sort of disgust for this site, not a let's go get them attitude.  I would also imagine that the majority of his server already has an account here.

We are all michigan fans.  Instead of flaming each other maybe we should have conversations.  I don't agree with Archive's actions.  But it seems everyone is so quick to retreat to their kingdoms and ban their ideological enemies.  The mods here are posting about being alert for the invaders.  Even though those so called invaders are michigan fans.

This is just my opinion.  Maybe I'm naive in thinking adults should be adults and work out their issues.  Will all of you condemning this now abstain from using his streams?

Wouldn't his "minions" also…

Wouldn't his "minions" also be Michigan fans?  Why would they sign up to participate in a thread that no longer exists?  It feels like you view the real threat as people who don't think like you.

I am not defending the post or "the call to arms".  The whole thing seems silly on both sides.

This is such a weird team. …

This is such a weird team.  The pitching is better but not by that much.  For the weekend they have 1 very good starterin O'Halloran, Chase Allen is an average starter who is pitching well enough to keep them in games, and a revolving door of pitchers waiting for their turn to get shelled in the 3rd spot.  The weekday starter is constantly changing and outside of yesterday had also been getting shelled.  From yesterday's box score Denner seemed to pitch decently and didn't pitch long, maybe he gets the Sunday slot back this weekend.  We just need someone to give them a chance on Sundays.  The bullpen is still hit and miss, you never know what you're gonna get.  Only Rennard and Voit are reliable and neither has been shut down.

We still don't have our perceived best position player back but the offense has started to come around.  They swapped freshman centerfielders with Jonathan Kim taking over for Greg Pace, and that has been a very good move so far.  Players are starting to come back to their career averages after starting slow.  Burton has been good all year, but Flores looked like he succumbed to the pressure of having to carry the lineup.  Thankfully he's been good lately.  Longo has been a life saver as a sophomore taking a leap, just hope this is a mini slump and not something prolonged.  Van Remortel and Marti also seems to have improved.  Sadly Velazquez is slumping bad.  Mitch Voit has been outstanding as a true freshman.  I don't think he was even that highly rated.  Hopefully Obertop comes back seamlessly as the offense is going to have to carry them again outside of Friday nights.

I am not sold on the older…

I am not sold on the older player strategy working so well in the bigger leagues myself.  Didn't the Michigan State coach after Mason go that route as well?  I can't remember his name, but he was successful using that strategy at Northern.  He slowly strangled the talent pipeline to MSU. He was older so maybe that played a part.

Does Wisconsin care how old…

Does Wisconsin care how old their freshman are?  I ask that seriously.  If it works, does it matter if he keeps recruiting over aged players?

Either the coach is comfortable recruiting the high end younger talent or Wisconsin has given him the ok to continue his current tactics.  Why leave that highly successful program otherwise?

It feels to me that these…

It feels to me that these announcers have no idea how Ohio State plays.  They keep talking about the patient way they play clogging the neutral zone.  In reality they play a high pressure aggressive forecheck.

Fair point, you have your…

Fair point, you have your feelings and I respect that.  I don't have a feeling about EJ one way or the other.  I took him talking down about our QB recruiting and Mike Hart's recruiting philosophy as his opinion on the matter.  I feel he has that right and I would rather have someone who is supposed to be "the" recruiting guy for that site give me his opinion instead of constant sunshine and platitudes.

From what I read on On3, EJ…

From what I read on On3, EJ has given his opinion at times and stated as much.  The one opinion that seems to have pissed JD's dad off was that his recruitment would go into the spring.  That turned out to be true.  EJ has also been a staunch advocate against the all eggs in one basket approach of Weiss.  It backfired last year and he was leary of JD constantly pushing his decision timeline.  EJ also has advocated for MVB as better than JD and thinks we could get him if we wanted to.  Unless something was said behind the scenes and not posted on the On3 site, I don't see why anything there is so damning.  EJ writes in a matter of fact way, so nuance can be missing.  I personally think JD would have committed by now if things hadn't gone awry on Michigan's end with Harbaugh possibly leaving again and Weiss being fired.

I don't listen to the radio much so I never hear Sam's show.  It seems weird that EJ is being called out in regards to JD because of his opinions.  At least one of which ended up being true.  It's the same thing with Mike Hart.  EJ gave his opinion that he thought Mike was trusting his evals too much and not going after bigger fish.  I could be wrong, but I don't think he ever said Mike couldn't recruit.  I don't listen to to their podcasts or watch the TV stuff so maybe I missed something.

Also, sorry for the initials.  Not trying to be cool or cryptic.  I'm just too lazy to look up name spelling and didn't want to be disrespectful by spelling them wrong.

I don't think the Cornell…

I don't think the Cornell/Denver game is a good example of what was trying to be conveyed.  I watched most of that game, only switching off at periods to St. Cloud/Minn St.  Cornell was the better team all game.  I kept waiting for Denver to assert themselves but it just didn't happen.  Even at the end, it wasn't a barrage that needed to be withstood.  It was, for that game, a superior Colgate team calmly closing it out.

Maybe, if my mind remembers it correctly, the Michigan/Air Force upset from years ago is a better example.  Cheap early goal, massive shot differential, #1 seed upset.

Right now they seem to be…

Right now they seem to be pretty bad.  As you said, they aren't hitting and their pitching hasn't improved.

They only brought back 3 full time starting position players from last year in Obertop, Flores, and Burton.  Obertop is hurt and not playing.  Marti and Van Remortel platooned at 1B and neither was that great.  Now they are both basically starting and seem to be about the same as last year.  Velazquez is a starter when he's available but he hasn't hit this year either.  The grad transfer SS they brought in should have been able to come close to replicating Bertram's hit lines but he's at .156.  They are starting 2 true freshman who are hitting like true freshman so far.  I expect the veterans to bring their averages up to their norms as the season goes along.  I hope the freshman figure it out a bit.  The biggest disappointment for me is the lack of progress from anyone.  I was hoping Dylan Stanton would make a jump as he played pretty good last year and so far he's been relegated to pinch hitting.  Brandon Lawrence has also not seemed to have made many improvements.  It says something that we only have 5 freshman position players, 2 are starting and a 3rd has seen time as well.   Gabe Sotres, the grad transfer catcher brought in from MSU, has been their most consistent hitter.  I would expect when Obertop comes back they switch off the DH and C roles unless they have other positions they can play.

We all knew the pitching was very bad last year.  We had to hope this year they figured something out because we only brought in 1 freshman pitcher and 1 grad transfer.  So far only O'Halloran has bounced back.  Our other 2 weekend starters at this point are Chase Allen and Jacob Denner.  It seems Allen has potential if he can find some consistency.  Denner hasn't pitched well at all last year or this year.  The mid week starter so far has been Kurt Barr, the only freshman pitcher we have.  He's been pretty good for a freshman, let alone one with a uninspiring recruiting profile.  Again, lack of development has been very disappointing.  Some of these guys are to the point where they are what they are, but last years 2 freshman seem to be the same as well.  And the grad transfer has fit in instead of continuing his previous ways.

Going forward I think the hitting will pick up.  Getting Obertop back will be a big help.  You would also think the hitters will start inching towards their career averages.  The pitching is another story.  It is better than last year, but not by much.  I think/hope Allen will settle into some consistency but Denner may just be what he is now.  If thats the case maybe Barr can be the 3rd weekend starter and we can patch together the weekday games like last year.  As with last year, someone has to figure it out in the bullpen or none of this matters.  Outside of Noah Rennard and Mitch Voit (who has been the everyday 3B), nobody is getting anyone out.

Sadly, next year might be worse.  Unless Obertop, Burton, and Flores want to take their covid years, we are going to have huge holes in the lineup without obvious replacements.  We have 3 and a half pitchers on the roster in the last 2 recruiting classes, with the current sophmores not showing anything.  The entire Sophmore class was a 10 man class with only 6 making it to campus.  2 left after last year, both pitchers, with 1 going to Ohio State.  Joe Longo seems like he's going to be good and can't write off Camden Gasser yet.  But the pitchers, yeesh.

I've always felt the same…

I've always felt the same way as Tunneler. I don't classify the sports you mentioned as games, more competitions. They require athletic ability, practice to hone your skills, and dedication just like baseball, football, hockey, etc. But I think any sport where you actively compete against the other person, they are on offense and you on defense and vice versa, is a cut above. If you're watching the other person do their thing you've lost control of half of the competition. This is especially true in the case of judges. Not only do you have no control over your opponent's activities, you're at the mercy of a 3rd party.  And we've had plenty of evidence over the years of judges not being impartial.

As to your listed sports, I don't know why wrestling is there.  That is 1v1 physical combat.  It does have judges and can be corrupt at times but you always have the opportunity to win without judges, same as boxing and mma.  It would be to compete until someone wins, but we don't want people to die.

Track and field is a different breed.  You lose the ability to physically defend your opponent but you are competing alongside them.  The Sprinters and long distance runners are usually running at the same time as their competition and know what they have to do to win.  There is no nuance, best time wins.  The other events don't have direct competition but when throwing the javelin I know what my competition has done to that point and what I have to do.  No judges, just how far can I throw it.

Swimming is the same as sprinting.  You know what's going on around you for the most part and what you have to do.

Outside of turning them into…

Outside of turning them into minimum security prisons what can you really do? Tens of thousands of students mingling about on a daily basis on very large campuses. The bigger colleges and universities are intertwined throughout their cities. Hard to tell the public they can't be on campus when the restaurant they want to eat at is technically part of the campus.

I remember going to a concert in downtown Atlanta and having to drive through Georgia Tech's campus to get there. Also, given the nature of the age most students are at, a lot are still in the invincible stage.  Add all this up and you get a vulnerability that is very hard to fix.

I took it as college…

I took it as college campuses are very strange places these days. Violence seems to be an acceptable recourse for people when they feel aggrieved these days. It sure feels like someone is aggrieved on a college campus every day anymore. Every time we turn around a college is in the news for a protest, boycot, controversy, etc about some cultural issue that ends up in a lawsuit. I just saw one at Howard University about racial discrimination against a white student. I don't know the veracity of this lawsuit, just that it was in the news yesterday.

I turned on the radio…

I turned on the radio broadcast as they were reviewing the major. They were predicting the major even though it was a shitty call because of the referee. He has called more penalty minutes and game misconducts against Michigan than any other official by far

Seems to me you could find a…

Seems to me you could find a clip like this is every game.  If this becomes a narrative just start linking clips of other coaches doing the same thing.  If you really want to drive the point home that this manufactured, make those linked clips of white coaches.  They will drop that story line so fast.

I know calling someone a …

I know calling someone a "fuckface" would get me banned.  I'm sensing mgoblaze or whatever his moniker is went back and edited the post to avoid being banned after being called out for it.  However, they were gleeful in rubbing it in people's faces that they don't care about hurting people's feelings.

People have a right to disagree.  Their original post to condemn the word thug was fine, that's their opinion.  But the reaction to being disagreed with was straight trolling and name calling.  Everyone was a racist and they were justified in saying whatever they wanted because not agreeing with them made everyone a racist.  I got the impression from your screed in the post lockdown edit that you were more upset with Papabear and Stig.  They only responded to Mgoblaze when he went scorched earth on Thad's defense of his post.  One person spent the entirety of that thread trashing everyone who had the audacity to disagree with them, nobody else stooped to their level.  Are the rules such that if the mods agree with your cause then you aren't subject to the same oversight?

I'm your previous thread…

In your previous thread moderation just above this one you gave someone a trip to Bolivia for personal attacks.  What makes this thread different?

I chuckled at your joke. …

I chuckled at your joke.  But of course I remember Whoopi Goldberg throwing her name out there for Surgeon General and calling her a "hell of a doctor".  I didn't think you were making fun of Jill Biden, only people like Whoopi.

Don Brown over reacted to…

Don Brown over reacted to the Saquon Barkley slot fade PSU game and started trying to recruit taller corners.  That whole class basically fizzled out and set our corner recruiting back about 2 years.  But at least that was an adjustment he made to try and fix a hole in his defense.  It turned out to be a mistake and hurt him more in the long run but he tried.

On the other hand, I can't for the life of me figure out his insistence on build a bear defensive tackles.  He inherited some dominant interior defensive lineman and seemed to decide that wasn't what he wanted, he wanted leaner and quicker.  Some huge recruiting misses later and his defense fell apart.

I concur with all of this. …

I concur with all of this.  Hooray, we created a bit of an echo chamber.  😀

That was an entertaining…

That was an entertaining game.  Also turned out to be more nerve racking than I anticipated.  Turns out Emoni Bates is much better than he showed last year.  I don't know what happened at Memphis, but he looked very comfortable with his current team and looked to be enjoying himself and his teammates.  They weren't big, but they had multiple people they played in the front court that looked like they could handle themselves.  If that wasn't effort by Eastern wasn't a mirage, they should be pretty good this year.

Reading the game thread I think a lot of you forgot about the concerns heading into the season.  We spent all offseason wondering if we would get consistent 3pt shooting.  We brought in Lewellin to be a combo guard before Frankie left and now he's the starting point.  Because Frankie left, we needed Bufkin to make a leap.  Jett was hopefully going to be a good shooter but nothing guaranteed.  Through 2 games, things are still not settled.

1.  Lewellin doesn't look totally comfortable yet.  But it was a nice sign that when it became winning time his instincts took over and his play improved dramtically.  I think he'll be fine going forward.

2.  Kobe may still be looking for his stroke but to me it looked like he was gaining confidence as the game went on.  He had a great block on Bates, who is 5 inches taller than him and that nice and 1.  If he can keep progressing that is all we need.  Remember, he struggled with his shot last year in limited time.  So all he knew going into this year as a college player was frustration.  He needs things to go right and build confidence.  At the very least he looks like a "makes plays" kid.

3. Baker had no chance to succeed tonight.  Defense was never his strong suit and now he's had hip surgery.  His brain isn't the issue, it's is body.  He looked like he knew what he was doing but kept having to cover for other people and he just can't.  He's here to make outside shots and only that.  He never was put in a position to do that tonight.

4. Dug really explodes in every direction right now.  I thought he looked pretty good in the 1st half, or at least exciting.  He looked terrifying in the 2nd half.  He has no fear, but sometimes that seems to come with no control as well.  Freshman in his 2nd game, it will get better.  You can see the potential.

5. I thought Barnes was pretty good.  The defense seemed to improve with him on Bates.  He doesn't have much offensively right now except irrational confidence to take that 3.  Love his moxie if not the decision.  I think Jace is similar, more defense than offense.  Barnes looked better tonight as the defense actually improved with him in the game.  Simliar players right now, or at least tonight.

6. TWill was really good.  I agree with Robbie Hummel and wish he had more confidence to shoot.  He was making them but also passing up open looks.  Did some great board work.  He's just a winner and a guy you want on your team.

7. Fucking A Hunter.  This was a game they could have given him the ball every possession and it would have probably been the right call.  His rebounding numbers were down because his guy kept shooting those elbow jumpers.  He had to come out and guard them after they made the first couple.

8. Reed looked very unassuming the 1st half, but much better the 2nd.  If I'm not mistaken, wasn't he rated around the same as Hunter coming out of High School?  Seems odd, considering how college ready Hunter was from jump street.  Looks like being the back up 5 is about right for him at this time.  I was worried we'd have to play 2 bigs to keep him accommodated this year, but right now that doesn't seem to be the case.  I can't see him and Hunter on the floor at the same time going well right now.  Maybe that changes as the season goes on.

9.  Tschetter must be Baker level defense without the awareness right now.  Seemed like he might have gotten a look tonight with the struggles we were having shooting at times.  TWill was playing so well we didnt see Glenn either.

10.  Does Khayat redshirt?  Did he come over here knowing he might redshirt or is this just a getting him comfortable thing?  You'd think he'd be out there just to see.  Couldn't have been worse on the defensive end than what was happening.

I look forward to watching this team grow.  Thank the stars Hunter came back or this would have been a rough year, as we would have struggled for the 1st month at least.  I have faith that Juwan will get it done and this team will improve.

The story being told was…

The story being told was that Hunter was aware that he was probably not getting drafted and Europe would be his professional option.  He liked college enough that if the money he got from NIL was good enough to compensate that, then he was happy to stay.  So while the freshman were letting everyone hang in the wind making their decisions, Hunter was looking to hit an NIL goal.  Once he hit it, he was back.  I can't imagine it was hard for him and Juwan to convince some people to hook that up.  So hopefully, his mindset stays the same and he comes back next year too.  Unless he has a miraculous transformation athletically, it will probably be the same options.

I don't know much about his…

I don't know much about his concern trolling history but his point is valid.  It is very likely Washington got processed at OSU, hence the decommit.  He has been steadily dropping in the rankings.  I think we mostly agree around the Michigan fan sites that Holtman is a good coach with an eye for talent.  Nobody is perfect obviously but we do seem to be going after OSU's unwanted sloppy seconds.  Here's hoping they fucked up on their evaluation.

I don't know shit.  I've…

I don't know shit.  I've just grown to despise the constant spin we are force fed on a daily basis in every aspect of life.  This article triggered my spin meter.  We as Michigan fans know all about the Jimmy Rolder situation.  Not really recruited by anyone as he played too many other sports to be a full time football camper.  Didn't become wildly known in the recruiting world until his senior tape started to get out.  Author tries to paint a picture of Chryst's incompetence recruiting him because nobody on staff talked to him on a visit.  Problem is the details of the visit are extremely vague.  We don't know when it was, just the implication it was before he blew up.  Auther mentions it was with a high school teammate but doesn't say which one of them actually scheduled the visit.  For all we know they were completely aware he was there but weren't recruiting him and their time was spent elsewhere.  These details matter in this situation and their absence makes me suspicious of the article's motive.  Plus, Wisconsin was the main competition for his signature when he did commit.  Man, Chryst was really bad that he still almost got him in the end.

This read like an AD…

This read like an AD friendly justification for the move.  Their program, they can do what they want.  But the reasoning felt forced to me.  Maybe more exists behind the scenes that isn't being talked about out of respect, but the stated justifications in this article don't add up.

The use of Jimmy Rolder seems like a revisionist history moment.  Nobody knew who he was until he blew up at the end of his senior year.  Notice no mention is made of the actual date this visit happened, only the passing inference it was before he became a known recruit.  And does anyone realistically think Wisconsin is getting Caleb Williams out of the portal last year?  The fact that was used as any sort of justification is damn near malpractice.  The author even qualified with he was reportedly interested in Wisconsin, didn't even bother to see of it was true but ran with it anyway.

They mention the drop-off in recruiting in one year, like that has never happened before to any program ever.  Especially one that isn't in a recruiting hot bed.  He gets all the blame for the drop off but none of the credit for changing the expectations in the first place with the 3 year period of nice class rankings.  To me it seems like they were slow to adapt to NIL but were figuring it out.  They had an adequate sized staff at the time of his firing.

The author also made the claim he had never fired an assistant but also acknowledged he had accepted the need to make changes in his staff after the 2020 season.  Despite "not firing" anyone, there were miraculous openings so that he could make those changes.  Then the changes themselves were insinuated to be questionable with the only reason given being their previous job title.  Using that reasoning alone, Bellamy should have never been safeties coach, Newsome was a terrible choice for tight end coach, Jaybaugh is questionable wherever he goes, etc.

This year has been a challenge for them and you can make the case for being concerned about the program going forward.  But this article shows that reasoning alone isn't viewed as enough to justify this firing and the Wisconsin AD is trying to scrape enough together to make it look legit.  This situation reeks of an AD wanting to make his mark on the football program and looking for an excuse.

I agree with you regarding…

I agree with you regarding the center position on the basketball team.  There are a number of options to play the 4, you mentioned 3 but I'll add Reed and Jett as well.  Hunter is hopefully 30+ minutes a night and Reed will not be happy with the remaining 10 of he's as good as his recruiting ranking.  My concern is the road Iowa scenario of a few years ago.  We played 5 centers that day if my memory holds.  Our starter and backup were in foul trouble before tipoff.  What if we have a similar situation this year?  Is Will T playing center?  I think he's the next tallest guy on the roster. It doesn't even have to be a sought after player from the portal, just a body that doesn't mind averaging 5 minutes a game.

Isn't Diabate an ideal…

Isn't Diabate an ideal prospect for one of those good teams drafting at the end of the 1st round?  The odds are slim they find someone to help them now so why not take a chance on an super athletic guy who needs development.  Could grow into something great down the road when they would start to need him.

March madness has some…

March madness has some randomness to it, as all 1 and done formats do.  However, hockey has so many other variables that basketball doesn't have.  The 1st is goaltending.  A goalie standing on his head can propel a mediocre team to great things.  Then you have the playing surface.  Basketball has a smooth wooden court and a spherical ball that bounces consistently every time.  Hockey has ice that people use sharp metal blades to move around on.  That leaves big chips and grooves in the surface that effect the way the puck moves.  The puck itself is rubber that also bounces, but not to any rhyme or reason and everyone tries to make it not bounce 98% of the time.  Hockey also has the enclosed playing surface where Basketball does not.  The boards are constantly knocking the puck around in random ways that doesn't happen in a Basketball game.

I live in Goodrich, MI.  I'm…

I live in Goodrich, MI.  I'm am not trying to be an inconvenience to anyone.  Was hoping they were available somewhere that I could access with my current cable subscriptions and not have to sign up for anything else.  Seems not to be true.  So I have to be patient or just let my ADHD point me in another direction and forget all about it.

I do not know how to jailbreak.  I did that psuedo jailbreak with my amazon fire stick but that didn't last long.

I logged into their app and those weren't available.  Is that just something they will run on the channel live and I would have to know when the game I want to watch is coming on?

That is really a shame.  I've never really cared about replays but I had to watch the Michigan game while in Bowling league due to the start time delay.  I would like to try and watch it with my full attention.

I saw some 1st round games…

I saw some 1st round games on Youtube but hadn't found 2nd round games yet.  Wasn't sure if that was going to be viable for every game or just certain ones.

I agree with you in regards…

I agree with you in regards to MSU being good.  During my teen years my family went to the GLI annually.  Those games between national champion level Michigan teams and good MSU teams were always exciting.  I have always enjoyed those games more when it meant something. Plus I have childhood friends that are MSU fans and they are also good people who deserve to be happy now and again.

You're correct imo.  My phrasing was off and signing day was more ruined for me personally as I like to see recruiting info and that obviously couldn't happen for Michigan.

Thank you for this.  I…

Thank you for this.  I appreciate you taking the time to thoroughly answer my queation.  Have a great weekend.

Misinformation?  FFS! …

Misinformation?  FFS!  Harbaugh's situation killed any attention signing day would have gotten because we didn't think we had a coach and there was no point in this site covering it.  I legit thought we were still trying for a RB, edge and Conerly.  I was also under the impression that Henry was exploring his options ever since Morgan left and we were still one of those options.  If there was a post or article on this site clarifying this that I missed I'm sorry.  I already apologized for my phrasing down below.  I don't know if I pissed in your cheerios in a past life or something but geez.

I wasn't mad at Jim for…

I wasn't mad at Jim for looking at the NFL.  If he had been petty and released a statement saying "Serves ya right for trying to fire me last year" I would have laughed.  I didn't want him to leave and am happy he's back.  What I was trying to get at was the timing of his interview falling exactly on signing day ruined it for this site's coverage of who signed.  Even though this is now the crappy signing day I remember there still being something going into it and a wrap up.  No point this year because we all thought we didn't have a coach.  No blame just circumstance.

I don't mind criticism.  I…

I don't mind criticism.  I've even acknowledged that my phrasing was poor.  I can see how it is being misunderstood.  I was never a good writer, I have a hard time expressing my thoughts in written form.  I've gotten better as I get older but I'm still lacking.  My sensitivity comes from personal attacks because I'm not as informed as some seem to think I should be.  That was why I asked, to be informed.
