Maybe I wasn't clear on my response, but I have no problem with trash talking. My point is that if the MSU players/fans were talking shit after the game if they won, we would all be pissed. They started the year #2, we swept them, and I love it, but I don't agree with lowering our moral standards because of two wins.
Great win, and I do agree that talking trash is part of competition, but if the roles were reversed and Lucas said something to D Mo with seconds left, everyone here would be upset. I don't see how we can all laugh it off just because we finally swept Sparty in bball and things are looking up in our world in terms of athletics.
I have no problem with the exchange on the court because we have no idea what was said over the course of the game, but to laughingly approve makes us no better than msu fans or any sec fan that we have complained about in the past.
DB made the point of saying that they will no longer be "middle of the pack" with paying the coach's salary. Which available candidates are worth ~$5M? Harbaugh, Miles, and ??? You don't pay an unproven Hoke, Fitzgerald, or I'll go as far to say Patterson or Petersen, given the conferences they play in. Does DB have a big name coach in waiting, or was that to draw other names?
