The KenPom ref rankings are nothing more than an amalgamation of how many (and the types of) assignments a ref is given. They have nothing to do with the actual quality of the refs’ calls.
There were two trips on which the floor was slapped. First one was Eron Harris, UM got a layup. Second one 3 MSU players did it on one trip, as the poster above noted, UM hit a 3. UM usually is quite efficient offensively when MSU slaps the floor, going back the last few years.
Have been to IU before, but not for a game. There is a massive parking lot surrounding the Memorial Stadium and Assembly Hall (which is adjacent), but any ideas if that will fill up by 1:30 or 2pm?
any one know why only Fox's talent can sing the national anthem in Detroit? I thought Aretha was supposed to sing Game 3. Not that she would have sounded any good, but at least it's Detroit. Half waiting to see Adam Lambert tomorrow.
As the ref was on the headset reviewing the play, he was looking right at us in Sec 21. Everyone around us was screaming about the clock and pointing to their fake wristwatch. We would have thought that the ref was old enough to remember wristwatches, apparently not.
Brady holds his players accountable, but shows his guys that he has faith in them. Same guy kick for RR, but RR boils over then holds open tryouts, thinking some guy in West Quad might be a better division 1 kicker. Brady's got us some Karma, baby!!!
graduating in '88 with Bo still in place, I never thought I would see us rush the field for a two point win over Sparty. But then if you consider it was #900, and the students who are there now haven't seen a win over MSU, you can start to rationalize it. But even more, virtually every other close game we have played against MSU, we have lost (save Braylon in triple OT); maybe this is a good omen for the future. Even if in those close games Sparty needed pass interference flags to get stuck in a back pocket, or for 1 second to last an eternity. Any other time two First and Goals didn't get TD's in the only trips to the red zone, we would have surely lost. Brady has got us some Karma!!!
