You can't just call division 3 division 5. The divisions actually have implications on the rules such as scholarship limits, e.g. division 3 allows no scholarships. That is across all sports. Just go back to Divisions I-A and I-AA and I-AAA. FBS means nothing anymore. |

If you haven't noticed yet, Brian frequently subs in that picture of Snoop for a picture of Gallon. You probably just thought it was Gallon all along. |

I'm sure there are still children in Kansas named William, then nicknamed Billy. However, the problem arises when you try to associate them with objects that obviously do not exist in their home state. |
| 5 days 12 hours ago | I will say that players do |
I will say that players do seem to like the alternate uniforms. When Vincent Smith did that AMA on reddit, he was asked which uniforms he liked best and the alternate uniforms were up there. |

Chrome helmet for sure. I can ignore the mascot by keeping my eyes on the field; I can't ignore chrome helmets and still watch the game. |

Before reading the summary, I thought that the doctor was fired for refusing to allow players with concussions play or something along those lines. The headline talks about athletes having too much power and all of the power exertion seems to have come from the AD and HC. |

Gah. It's hard to detect sarcasm when facts are actually used. |
| 6 days 11 hours ago | This seems pretty much like a |
This seems pretty much like a non-story. The only part that makes it potentially story-worthy is that they are doing this to save money, which is how every AD operates. I was expecting him to have been fired because he wouldn't agree to put athletes back in games when they had concussions or something. MSM gets us again with sensational headlines. |
| 6 days 11 hours ago | I'm talking in general terms |
I'm talking in general terms here to get an idea of what each class should look like, not some hard-and-fast rule. There are also factors outside of just recruiting and graduation like red shirts and different types of attrition that this doesn't accout for. So, if you really want to get technical about it, OL almost always redshirt. That means you only need to recruit 4 per year to maintain a 4-deep at each position. That brings your total class size to 21. 21 x 4 = 84. Use the scholarships from attrition to get a kicker every other year and recruit for positions of need after attrition. |
| 6 days 12 hours ago | 85 scholarships and 22 |
85 scholarships and 22 positions means that we should have 4 players at every position. So, the goal should be to take 1 player at every postion each year. 3 LB spots means 3 LB recruits. Keep in mind that, last year, we were talking about a small class as well and we had lots of people leave the team. On top of normal attrition, we could also have guys like Paskorz, Furman, and Hagerup not be extended 5th years. |

You say "they" but everyone involved with that is no longer at the school. The people not involved are getting the second (maybe first) worst penalty in NCAA history for something that they were never involved with. This, to me, feels like a witch hunt like the freep was doing for us. |
| 1 week 6 hours ago | Tor basically makes all |
Tor basically makes all internet traffic go through several layers of different computers so that the traffic can't be tracked back to you. VPN services are those which setup a computer for you to connect to, generally in a different country, so that you do the seeding from that computer instead of your own and the traffic can't be tracked back to you. Bitcoin is an anonymous way of paying. All of these technologies are legal and provide anonymity. However, because of the anonymity, these services provide an easy way to tread into some illegal or legally grey areas without getting into trouble. |

Henne was the backup his freshman year. Gutierrez got injured in fall camp. By the time that he healed, Henne had won the starting role. Henne got injured during the Oregon game and was nursing that injury the rest of the year. Had he not been injured, I'm sure that Mallett would have seen playing time in the 38-0 beating over ND. |

| 1 week 3 days ago | That was the first thing that |
That was the first thing that went through my head, but then I realized that BWC was probably moved back to defense mostly because we had no one else at the position. So, if we are counting that as a win for Rich Rod, it's directly offset by the fact that he didn't manage to recruit any DTs on his own. |

He was questioning why "Guard" is in quotes in the title. A lot of times people put things in quotes like that to show sarcasm and highlight the fact that he isn't a guard. Now, I'm starting to think that you meant something along the lines of "BWC signs with Jets for $2.3 mil as a guard". |
| 1 week 3 days ago | "Campbell, who played |
"Campbell, who played defensive tackle in college, is attempting to transition to the offensive side." He's going to the offensive line, so he is a guard. |
