When chosing a projector:
How loud is it? It matters alot for someone who cares about sound. I dont want to hear the fan when somebody is whispering in the movie.
How bright is the room? A screen will run you $500. Grey screens which will keep darks darker can help if you have uncontrolled light in the room. Lumens, lumens, lumens. Also getting a new bulb would be required if you dont get an LED light engine (which I have in the back of my 56" dlp tv).
How are you going to wire it? I wired through the ceiling because I built in a cabinet in the back wall. The joists were running the right way for me to do this. I dont like wires and neither should you.
10 years ago when I did the theater in my parents basement (for a christmas present for my pops) a projector was a reasonable choice. They had a nice fireplace which they use which meant there was big payback for having an electric rolldown screen.
Currently, my small office of 10 people is moving upstairs and ditching our projector for an 80" TV. Looking and taking notes and having windows in the conference room means there will be alot of light. Also the benefit of basic speakers on the system is an upside for us there.
I would get a TV.

From the video, I am happy that they are showcasing how much Minnesotans love winter. We love the cold. Heck, we have an outdoor beer festival in the middle of January when there are perfectly good buildings sitting empty right next door.

Maybe I am the only one, but havent I been reading that Hoke&Co left 3 or 4 on the table for the 2014 class? Why is 2015 going to be a small class? Shouldnt it be the average, 20 players, plus the 3 or 4 we left on the table?

Football is a business. Dunking things is not appropriate in a professional environment. You dont see me slam-dunking my calculator after a great analysis.

Maybe within the footprint of the new outdoor track. The master plan hatched a couple years back didnt include a LAX specific stadium but it appears a new track is in the works.
Can a LAX field fit within a 400m track?

Science at its purest form has no practical application. It is just discovery for the purpose of satiating our curiosity.
Passing a wire through a magnetic field resulting in a current used to be a bar trick by Ol' Man Faraday. Its kinda important now.
Engineering is the practical application of science.
I recommend StarTalk with Neil Degrasse Tyson.

I feel like there is a "second lead" in this story which was buried. The speed of light was exceeded... or theorized to have been exceeded. Symantecs as far as I am considered.
What repurcussions are there within physics if light is no longer considered the universal speed limit?

Thats the cool thing about science, it can correct itself.
Pluto is really an American thing. A kid from Illinois found it. Disney named a dog after it.
I was kinda bummed when he (correctly) didnt include it in the planet listing but happy when he called it out by name.

|23 weeks 1 day ago||Trust?||
I suppose this comes down to trust and whether the sources are trusted. We blindly accept things every moment of our lives. E.g., I blindly accept that nobody is going to speed through a red light and kill me. E.g. I blindly accept that the steel I use in design has a minimum yield stress and meets certain criteria. Sometimes we get burned because a trusted source whether it be a green light or a specification doesnt hold true.
Now the sources, the sources can gain or lose trust. If you get hit alot in intersections you are going to to verify those sources by looking both ways. Bad steel, you are going to request testing before using it.
(I was going to put in a paragraph about scientific method vs the Bible but ommitted to stay on topic)
Now we cant always do this. The world would not function. Imagine stopping for each green light you see. Engineers on this board might imagine performing extensive testing on steel prior to its use.
I think there is a difference. I would much rather go around blindly accepting things than blindly rejecting them because if I didnt, I wouldnt drive anywhere and no buildings would be built.

I believe the flag is actually a limitation on number of people in the backfield. So you can only have 4 in the backfield. Normally the adjunct is true in that 6 people on the line means 5 in the backfield, but not if you only have 10 dudes out there.
As an aside, I remember this play specifically as I was reduced to listening to the game on the radio for the most part. The guys calling the game were going nuts about this and I am surprised to hear that whoever did the game for ESPN didnt mention it.
