It was the Michigan Bar Locator. Back in 2010 or so. I attended grad school at Michigan in '07 and '08. I think I was traveling for work and I wanted to watch the game in a Michigan environment and I think I found Duffy's in Chicago from MGoBlog.
I live in the Twin Cities I want to take my 1 year old son to the game but WTF is this 9:30 pm start time all about?!?!?!? Fuck the west coast. Call me when they give a shit.
There is not an x-ray machine at Michigan Stadium either. Nor TCF Bank Stadium in Minnesota. There is a fluorscope at Schembechler Hall but no MRI machine which is what would be needed to diagnose "soft tissue" things.

You cant just plop an xray machine anywhere. You need shielding and a room designed for it. Also, with emerging technologies and improved imaging, why would it make sense for a university without a med school to be investing in this. Better to just send him offsite. Anyways, they said it was a soft-tissue thing so he probably got an MRI to evaluate that which is even more of a pain to install.
Also, TCF Bank Stadium doesnt have an x-ray either and that was brand new in 2009.

I have a BS from Purdue and an MS from Michigan and since I attended Michigan, Purdue has either been awful or they havent played eachother so Michigan at least had more on the line, and hell they have been more fun to watch. Now Purdue has a decent coach for the first time since Joe Tiller took up trout fishing rather than recruiting. Now again we have a student section that is selling out and we look to have the largest crowd at Ross-Ade since 2008 (with a fair amount of maize and blue for sure). I am as excited about Purdue's turnaround as I am Michigan's and while I dont expect Purdue to go for NC's, I am hopeful that if Bucky stubs thier toe, Purdue could step up and win the West.
So I will be cheering for Purdue and I hope above all it is a fun game with no Angry ACL Hating God who decides to show up at the game.

Purdue lost at least 5 games last year, including the tourney, because they could not bring the ball up the court. I am hopeful the Spike can help change that.

I was on a coast to coast bicycle trip in 2006 with my friend Joel and we were cycling through Yellowstone NP at the time. There was a traffic jam but we were on bikes so "Lets just go around the cars".
That was great, we got past the backup to see it was a HERD OF BUFFALO crossing the road. We were like "Cool". We took some pictures. And then we proceded to BIKE THROUGH THE HERD OF BUFFALO.
We got to the other side of the herd and looked at eachother just realizing what we had done. We could have easily been gored or caught in a stampede or whatever. So we laughed pretty hard, the kind of laugh you laugh after you almost die, grabbed a beer and kept on going.
I missed that proposal earlier which included the handing out of an agreement signed by the University rep (coach) and the recruit's parents (assuming he/she is under 18) which would do three things.
First it would not be rescindable by the University. Second it would put a halt of communication from any representative of any university other than the one in the agreement. Third, it would be non-binding for the kid, they could back out if coaches changed etc.
I liked this. This is good. Lets talk about this more.
