the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

Manny's three point play at the end of the Clemson game in the '09 tournament. And every single second of the Tennessee curb stomping in '11 |

VCUs loss to Missouri bodes well. They are a very guard oriented team that is too say the least defensively challenged. Basically a worse version of us. |

| 9 weeks 3 days ago | Antonio Poole |
Antonio Poole was/is the rumored injury player - this, to me at least, seems more like he wasn't going to get playing time here so is going to move on to somewhere where he will, type situation. Best of luck to him. |

| 15 weeks 2 days ago | Last Year |
A lot of the same people on the same court last year and we played pretty well, lost a close one and outperformed the Kenpom score by a good margin, that bit of history seems way more relevant than the fact the Fab Five always lost in Bloomington |

Waive off the waiting period. This thread should be in mgo hall of fame immediately. It makes me feel way less creepy that so many people flipped out with excitement over the decision of a not yet high school junior. Greatful for that |

let me say everything the Wilpons are involved with turns to shit eventually. As far as I'm concerned M baseball is ahead of the game. |

Not that it matters much, with the good news already in our pockets, but same source says Della Valle is a pretty strong bet to end up at Ohio. |

| 1 year 5 weeks ago | More Good Burke News |
I have a friend who is an nba/international scout. One of his friends is an agent who is friendly with Benji Burke and the word is an announcement, possibly as early as tomorrow, will announce Trey will be back. I trust this - but move your bayesian estimates as you wish. |

Was just going to say this has to be the first presser all spring without a Campbell question. Like spring weight gains/losses I say no question is a good sign! |

And feels a bit wrong to move on so quickly but does this bump us to 23 spots available or is this counted as part of the normal attrition? |

Depending on exactly what Borges wants to do when we are full on pro-style and also depending on what Sam Grant decides in the next month, our need at TE will will either be severe or simply strong and I bet we take two. |

| 1 year 23 weeks ago | One other Positive Khoury Tibit From UFR Iowa 2010 |
"Losing Molk was a chunk of that. While Khoury didn't seem out of place he's the backup for a reason and his lack of experience contributed to a couple of screwups; the occasional iffy snap that threw timing off was not included in the numbers. I don't think I saw him get a tough seal like this all day: (No need to embed, easy enough to picture awesome Molk reach block) Even so a redshirt sophomore backup notching a positive number against Iowa's veteran, deep line is encouraging." |

| 1 year 23 weeks ago | Khoury - UFR Iowa 2010 |
Backs up that assesment of Khoury. By the start of next season he will have almost two additional years since then to imporve. He can't replace Molk; no one can, but he will be solid and if someone beats him out for the spot, they will presumably have to be better than solid . Its a big if, but even with Molk gone I think the line will be very good, IF they stay healthy. |

| 1 year 31 weeks ago | Curious |
What are folks opinions about who between Strobel, Wormley and Godin is most likely to jump to the front of the line to get lots of playing time at the 5-tech next year? (potentially even starting if one of Black/Roh doesn't get moved to the other side) |

| 1 year 32 weeks ago | Magnuson |
There was some talk that he was going to enroll early a while back but the coaches supposedly told him he was redshirting either way so he decided against it. I agree witht he concern about OL depth next year, but obviously the coaches dont think early enrollee freshman OLs are the answer |

Was northwestern really favored in that game? If I remember right it was at the big house and we were ranked and they weren't. We killed them too. |

I couldn't be more excited about the prospect of McGary coming here, even making it this far into his recruitment is a great sign for Beilen and the program. But this is playing out eerily like the recruitment of Casey Prather a few years back : http://mgoblog.com/content/casey-prather-coming-wing-near-you I won't be convinced until he signs on the line that is dotted. |

| 1 year 33 weeks ago | One and Done |
I think there is a chance he will stay beyond one season if he comes. He is currently 19 and therefore eligible for the NBA draft next year out of high school and still is firmly commited to attending college for at least a year, so clearly there are concerns beyond jumping to the NBA as soon as possible. FWIW when judged with all players eligible for the next year's NBA draft he checks in just outside the first round. |

| 1 year 33 weeks ago | O'Brien |
I have no inside knowledge at all, but the scuttlebut, I think, suggests more that our staff cooled a bit on O'Brien and/or on the idea of taking two 1-tech guys, than anything O'Brien said about us. |

| 1 year 35 weeks ago | Back Shoulder and Purposely Underthrown Balls |
Isn't the one major drawback to this method of defense that it is impossible to defend back shoulder throws or underthrown balls that the WR adjusts to? Almost impossible not to pick up a PI call if the WR tries to adjust by coming back to an underthrown pass. Worried MSU will kill us with this the way we killed Gray. |
