"He makes it really easy on you as a coach because he has tremendous football instincts," Michigan tight ends coach Jay Harbaugh said. "Things come really naturally to him. He doesn't have to see things too many times. He has a good sense for how things should look and feel, and he's a tough, physical guy."

I wanted the time to expire badly because Leaf was driving. They had 2 seconds on the clock when they hiked the ball and clearly spiked it in the ground with 1 second left. In fact, leaf was walking back to the huddle with time on the clock. I remember the poor Washington State coach was still trying to get the refs attention even as Michigan was in full celebration mode (along with myself).

I was there and two awful calls changed the game. The first was a clear pass interference on Roy Roundtree that they initially threw a penalty flag on. For some reason they waived off the flag. Next play, Denard get's hit and fumbles. Then, 4th quarter drive in which Hemmingway has an amazing catch that he was clearly inbounds. Ref calls him out, replay shows he is clearly in (even Iowa fans around us agreed) and yet they don't reverse the call. That was a big game and took them out of big ten contention.

In today's age of football, I'm surprised this isn't a story. Reeves retiring out of nowhere and let us not forget, the sad story of one of their other teamates. A kid who killed himself after speaking often of having issues from dealing with concussions.

I'm surprised no one mentions mouth guards and the lack of enforcement of wearing them. Proper mouth guards have proven to help prevent concussions. That and having helmets fit properly and are packed with adequate air. Helmets are way too loose. All this being said, nothing will completely eliminate concussions from the game.

Isn't he being projected as a DE and not a LB?

Cox must really be in the dog house. I thought with his style of running he would do well in this type of offense. It's sad that he's not getting PT with the injuries and suspensions at the RB position.

I read that other defensive players were not at practice/ not on the team anymore. Does anyone know who else has left the program?

Does anyone know why Big Will hasn't seen the field yet?
