|2 weeks 5 days ago||Totally agree||
Wouldn't drive from Chelsea to see the same plays that have driven me nuts since the PSU game. Shoot, I was predicting the plays they would run and the number of yards they were going to lose in the 4th quarter of the Nebraska game. Totally unacceptable. Major issues way beyond OL and QB. We're talking major division and turmoil on this team, and Hoke doesn't know what to do about it. Serious, serious problems. Listening to Hoke on the pre-game show before the NU game, he's delusional. I've never seen a team do the things this team is doing. Week after week, and no change. It's the most insane thing I've seen in Michigan football since richrod's defenses. And I've been following M football for almost 50 years.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Of course it's academics||
Why wouldn't you go to Alabama for engineering? If you go to M, you have to go to class and progress toward your degree. At the SEC football factories ( with one exception) you only have to do the bare minimum to stay eligible before entering the NFL draft. Not much work involved really.
|5 weeks 18 hours ago||Absolutely no justification||
for Lewan's actions. Hoke should sit him for a game. He has hurt the team from day one, and he continues because he doesn't get disciplined for it. Not acceptible for a Michigan player. Period.
|5 weeks 1 day ago||I agree||
Al has to go. The sooner the better.
|5 weeks 1 day ago||Exactly correct!!||
It is a serious problem, and will not be fixed by this coaching staff. We need a head coach not a cheerleader. I like Hoke, but these teams lack leadership. Michigan has not been improving week to week. It has been a conspicuous lack of improvement. Hoke talks about winning championships, he seems to recruit pretty well, and we all know Mattison is a great DC. They're just not getting it done on the field. Bo's teams, and even Lloyd's showed improvement each week. It's not happening with Hoke. Something has to change.
|5 weeks 1 day ago||I think we'll beat Nebraska,||
But we aren't good enough to beat anyone else on the schedule.
|7 weeks 1 day ago||Not just M's Offense||
I disagree. I think it was Indiana's defense that put up all those records. Not since GERG has there been such a pathetic lack of defense in the B1G. Pathetic.
|9 weeks 1 day ago||Totally disagree||
IMO he has never been close to the best in college football. All media hype because of one missed block in bowl game last year. He's good, but not that good.
|10 weeks 4 days ago||Seriously?||
This is all you can come up with?
|10 weeks 6 days ago||Wow, that was a while ago.||
You've been around a while if you remember them. Do you remember Revelli? I was his paper deliverer in Ann Arbor back in the 60's.
|12 weeks 6 days ago||Regarding The Guy||
hopefully the unwarranted hype heaped on Clowney will STOP! He didn't do a thing against Lewan in the bowl game, he only made the play against Smitty because he was completely unblocked (missed assignment). He doesn't and can't dominate a game. He will not win the Heisman. He won't even be a candidate. Sick of false hype.
|13 weeks 5 days ago||#1 MSU||
#3 Iowa (such whiny wannabees)
#5 Oklahoma/USC/did I mention Iowa!
|29 weeks 1 day ago||agreed!||
|29 weeks 1 day ago||Wow!||
Called third strike looked just like ball 3!
|29 weeks 3 days ago||The definition||
|29 weeks 3 days ago||Informative, and||
more than just a bit snarky. Also very surprised you didn't have some foul language involved.
|31 weeks 1 day ago||I agree with you||
Magnus. There's always some dingaling who has to be snarky and negative. Thanks for being straight up.
|32 weeks 1 day ago||I understand the schedule thing.||
But I'm just sayin', they may have had a great record, they just didn't beat anyone. I know that when we were 11-2 under Hoke, we didn't beat anyone either, with the possible exception of VT in the bowl game. That's part of the reason they sucked last year. We were actually better last year, and had a worse record. They were a bit worse last year and had a terrible record.
|32 weeks 1 day ago||Oh yeah||
no luck there!!
|32 weeks 2 days ago||I thnk he's an OK coach,||
but when you seriously analyze their wins over the last 5 years, they really didn't beat any good teams. Michigan only after the RR decimation, ohio only after tatgate, Wiscy only on a miracle bomb, and ND on the infamous fake fieldgoal. Seriously, they beat no one in those 5 years. No One!!!
|35 weeks 1 day ago||That's exactly right,||
just like in baseball, it isn't a strike or a ball until the umpire calls it. It can be in the dirt, but if the ump calls it a strike, it's a strike. If the ref calls it a charge, it's a charge!! 'Nuf said!
|35 weeks 2 days ago||Roger freakin' THAT!!||
So there's THAT!!
|35 weeks 3 days ago||And he's such a solid kid too,||
not just the best player, but so humble and team focused. A great kid!!
|35 weeks 5 days ago||Not surprised||
thugs don't usually follow the same recruiting/signing schedule as the rest of the recruiting nation.
|35 weeks 6 days ago||I totally agree.||
It is painful to think about anyone leaving Michigan early to play for a contract for the rest of his playing career.
|35 weeks 6 days ago||Yeah, I know.||
I did watch the rest of the series, but it did infuriate me the way game 2 played out. Like I said, the way the last 8-10 seconds of that game in regulation was played, it was obviously an effort to let LA win a game at home and force the series to go at least 5 games. It was too easy for the Pistons to win game 2 for it to be anything else. But yeah, back then, your description of a 'tight grip' is very accurate. Cooled off a bit since then, but still don't respect the NBA. Appreciate your input.
|35 weeks 6 days ago||Don't really hate it,||
but never watch it, partly because I don't trust the league, and it's not fun basketball to watch. I wouldn't know or care if they never played another NBA game.
|35 weeks 6 days ago||You are exactly correct. I'm sorry||
for the error. It was game 2 that went into OT and the Pistons lost. Still, it was very fishy how it ended, and other than the remaining games of that series, I haven't watched an NBA game since. Thanks for the correction. And apologies to the first gentleman who caught my mistake above too.
|35 weeks 6 days ago||With all due respect,||
the Pistons won games 1,2 and 3, lost game 4 as describe above, and then won it in game 5.
|35 weeks 6 days ago||No question in my||
mind. The NBA has been rigged for many years. I think all the way back to when the Pistons played the Lakers in the 80's. For sure the last time the Pistons won the NBA championship. That series had no business going 5 games, but the NBA thought the Lakers should win at least one game. The end of game 4 was an absolute joke, and I think even the Pistons were in on extending the series to at least 5 games.
If my wife was coaching the Pistons, they would have won game 4, instead, the Pistons allow the Lakers to inbound the ball to Shaq, don't immediately foul him, and allow him to pass the ball to Kobe who dillies and dallies for a few seconds (they don't foul him either) and then drains a wide open three from the top of the key to either win it or send it to OT. I was enraged at the time, and haven't watched an NBA game since.
