With homegrown tomatoes and a little overly spicy remoulade. Side of vinegary slaw. Six pack of deschutes fresh squeezed IPA. Maybe some little Spanish olives and salty white cheese for a light start Good key lime pie for dessert.

There was a heavy assist from a certain Ford electrician/bookmaker..... i didnt care for th e results.... Freider was a great recruiter.... also may hav e been a little sketchy. The Henderson, Wade, Tarpley, Relford class was awesome.

DPJ has a legit, Humphriesesque, pre-med course load? If so, ALL THE PROPS!!
|3 weeks 6 days ago||I wrote Rick for an autograph ...||
When I was maybe 9 or 10. Apparently, in those days fan mail was forwarded to a player's home. In reply I received a very nice hand written note from Dick as well as an autographed photo of Rick. Another of a thousand great memories of M football. RIP Dick. And Go Blue.
|4 weeks 3 days ago||Disagree...||
I have zero confidence the Sparty press is playing this square. I have 90% confidence the prosecotor's office is.
|4 weeks 4 days ago||Don't get me wrong....||
I love Houghton. But more money, culture and a higher profile are available in A2.
|4 weeks 5 days ago||He's doing wild ducks...||
Smaller and much less fatty than your domestic ones. If you do his recipe, you should have 1 bird per 2 people plus sides. Also, while the meat rests under foil let the gravy cool a bit before adding your flour and skim as much fat as you can. Then reheat on the stovetup before adding the Wondra.
|4 weeks 5 days ago||I agree with this entirely||
I vastly prefer a wild duck to his domestic cousin, but yes,filet out the breasts, sear it an and finish to med. rare in a hot oven. Make a pan sauce while they rest. Slice them against the grain and serve hot. Confit the legs.
Another good option is a gumbo. Get some shrimp or oysters and a little andoullie to go with the duck and you're in bidness

To the board.
|4 weeks 6 days ago||Before scrolling down I had similar thoughts...||
But with a different result. I say 85 wins with a wildcard spot and continued excellent work from JV and Norris, nice years from Kinsler and Castellanos, and nagging injuries to Miggy and Vmart.

|4 weeks 6 days ago||I've always supported Coach B.||
Not because I think we're gonna regularly contend for championships, but because we occasionally will, and we won't be shamed along the way. We see the ugly in Louisville and Lexington and Chapel Hill. I'm just not interested.
You know what they say...... it's great to be a Michigan Wolverine!

|5 weeks 3 days ago||I think I do!||
I'm guessing there is a great deal of regret involved
|5 weeks 5 days ago||Two words OP||
|5 weeks 6 days ago||my point was not that he had money from his parents....||
only that he did not come from an impoverished place. Regardless of what his folks may or may not have purchased for him, he certainly had lots of pizza money courtesy of cash filled cakes from Ed Martin.
|5 weeks 6 days ago||while I agree with your point....||
I'm pretty sure Wolverine Historian has enough clout around here to be forgiven for his too-clever-by-half remark.
|5 weeks 6 days ago||It's depressing||
This whole subject makes me sad. PSU fans are, in great numbers, twisting themselves in intellectual knots trying to keep Paterno's image pure in their own minds. Baylor fans apparently don't even need the mental gymnastics.... they just don't give a shit. While it's a far less damning offense, many around here are ready to give C. Webber the keys to the kingdom in spite of his "inability to buy pizza" and a thousand other lies compounding his original sin. Barry Switzer, Bobby Knight, Jimmy Johnson, Jim Tressell, Hugh Freeze, John Calipari, Rick Pitino, Bobby Petrino, many many others; all scum, all celebrated for #WINNING. It's just not very fun.
|5 weeks 6 days ago||Let's not pile on Sparty quite yet.....||
Things don't look good for the former gymnastics coach, but many gaps need filling in.
Dantonio's team was a mess in all ways last year, and they now have 3 guys and a coach suspended pending legal decisions. Baylor and PSU are horseshit because really bad shit happened and they allowed it to continue to happen (and have large portions of their fan bases in complete denial or who just don't give a shit). Sparty can handle this right or handle this wrong. They deserve that opportunity (assuming it isn't determined that they withheld information until after signing day in which case they have already handled it wrong and they should consider application to your proposed league).
|5 weeks 6 days ago||yep...||
|5 weeks 6 days ago||a wholly legitimate argument can be made for||
paying college athletes. What can't be argued is that Chris Webber (thoroughly middle class kid who attended a way upper class HS) whined to that crack columnist Mitch about not being able to afford pizza while receiving 6 figures for his efforts. Screw him.
|5 weeks 6 days ago||At this point the proof is in the proverbial pudding....||
He gets his guys to the NFL. He runs (by all accounts) a clean program. The kids play hard for him and say good things about him. As I said above, I'm glad I wasn't his son, but I'm glad he's our coach, and I'd let my own son play for him in a second.
|5 weeks 6 days ago||I'm glad I'm not his son....||
But I'm sure as hell glad he's our coach. I once had a nice chat with young Jack , Addie, and Mrs. H. I didn't know who they were until the end of the conversation, but, believe me, Jack doesn't lack for either backbone or confidence.
|6 weeks 3 days ago||I'm pretty sure||
"Hadn't even moved into his house" was meant to be part of a larger theme...new house, new neighborhood, giant new job. Tons going on. Adding on the replacement of the 3rd highest profile coaching job on campus would have been an added pressure.
Red's slide over the past several years has been sad, and someone should have made the decision for him to step down, but we really only lost an additional year here. I don't think it's worth piling on Warde about.
Lastly, has Brian ever suggested Mel is currently (or recently) amenable to taking the M job?
|6 weeks 6 days ago||Brady Hoke disagrees.....||
He commented on "development of genetics" all the time. It was glorious before things became so sad.
|7 weeks 1 day ago||Had no idea darboh||
was so fast
|7 weeks 2 days ago||Agreed||
I would say that for a small RB to be a first rounder, he'd better be a physical freak like Darren Sproles, or have otherworldly quickness like Barry Sanders.
|7 weeks 2 days ago||Yeah yer probably right...||
I doubt upper body strength matters to a guy trying to protect a $20M QB from a 6'5" DE coming in at a 4.6 40. Nor does it matter when carrying the ball in the 4th Q having already lugged the rock 15 times and taken a car crash's worth of abuse.
I have no real opinion of McCaffrey other than to acknowledge his great career at Stanford, but Cumong Man!!
|7 weeks 4 days ago||Short suspension at worst||
Clearly no a revocation.
|7 weeks 4 days ago||Well||
He did choose his successor.... And, by the way, Bo wasn't exactly universally welcomed to A2. He won the community over by winning, a lot, with class and dignity.
