I wouldn't say Woodson was a cut above Desmond Howard. I think that's the recency effect. They are peers in the pantheon of greats.
Desmond not only won the Heisman but his margin was one of the largest in history. He actually was a better punt returner than Woodson, who really only had one long return (though it was hugely important). He scored 23 TDs in 11 regular-season games as a WR/PR/KR, and this wasn't exactly in an Air Raid offense. People are selling him short in this thread. I'd put him right up there with Woodson.
As for Jabrill, he's awesome but I'm not quite ready to put him in their class, though I may if he keeps doing what he's done these four games.

Well, I don't know what texts you studied, but the declarations of secession made by the Southern states mention slavery as a primary cause. Have a look at these if you haven't seen them before. Here's an excerpt from Mississippi's:

FWIW, the white American population actually is not projected to lose its majority at all. It's the non-Hispanic white population that is. These two groups are often mistakenly treated as one and the same.

How exactly should these college football players "do something about it"?

No loss to ND can make me smile. That game (and season) may have been a necessary evil but it was an evil nonetheless.

But if we'd hired Les either of those times, he'd probably still be here and we'd be dealing with the downside of his career instead of having Harbaugh now. As painful as the 2008-14 stretch was, I'm enjoying the present and future prospects quite a bit.

We have a 56.6% chance of finishing 11-1 or better? Wow.

No - slow to fast is what it's traditionally been.
We had a good routine down for years, and then sometime around the RR years (when there were precious few blowouts) it got scrambled and people can't figure it out anymore.
It's worse for the reverse and double waves - they seem to get forgotten altogether a lot of times.

There are a lot of MSU (undergrad) grads who root for U-M. Doug Karsch is one. I believe our own mgoweather poster is another.
What's much rarer is the reverse - graduating from U-M but rooting for MSU.

There's always a decent Michigan fan presence - 10,000 is pretty much the floor.

Not too many PSU fans are calling for his head right now. He's probably safe for another year.

My fear is that taking on punting duties this year is affecting his placekicking. It can be tricky to pull off both.

Actually, it was originally a fist. Then it became a chop. The Michigan Daily then proposed making it a "claw" but that never fully caught on.

When we're on defense we want to make noise to disrupt the opposing team. It's better suited for when we're on offense.
Trying to go counterclockwise is tradition, though. It always takes a few attempts before the midfield sections finally give in and go along with it.

On a related note, we seem to be getting the Wave routine backwards again. It should be slow, then fast. Not the other way around. And it's for when we're on offense.

Could be related to the fact that our sophomore and junior classes are small. We've got a ton of great seniors and some very promising freshmen, but not as much in between as we'd like.

There were a few near me, but as far as I know no one pulled the Joepa/Sandusky card. The way the game went it really wasn't necessary.

It depends how far along the freshman cornerbacks are. CB is a position where freshmen often do contribute early on - think Woodson, Law, Hall, Warren, Peterson etc. Hopefully we can get one or both of Hill/Long to enter the rotation.

I think it's doubtful, for reasons mentioned already. I could see it happening in one particular case: if Dantonio really, really wants a national title to feel like his career is complete. The beatdown at the hands of Alabama could have convinced him that it's not going to happen in East Lansing. But I think it's more likely he just retires in a couple of years.

The key is that Louisiana has only one Power 5 program, so LSU has a big advantage with almost every local kid. Also, Louisiana produces four- and five-star recruits at a very high rate.
