What would make more sense for his NBA future if he doesn't get a chance this year. Playing in the D League or going overseas?
I feel like overseas might give him a different opportunity and maybe more money, but the D League gives him a better shot at the NBA next season. Either way, good for him, chase the NBA dream before taking an office job.

Makes sense to go after the bigger targets first.

Any idea if Nuss is going to take a closer look at DeWeaver anytime soon? That is a name I have seen popping up as a potential option at QB for Michigan for what seems like a couple of years now. Is this a matter of Nuss being out West and starting there before the coaches circle back closer to home?
Thanks again for the info Magnus.

Thanks for the breakdown. Hopefully the offense can put together some nice games and the ladies can enjoy a nice Memorial day at home before heading off to Oklahoma City.

Depending on what they do with the logjam in the front court, I think Nik is a much better positional fit for the Pistons that McDermott. Neither plays much defense, but Nik is a true 3, maybe even a 2 in the right situation, whereas McDermott is a 3/4 hybrid or tweener. Pistons need more on the wings, than another guy whose best position might be the 4.

Twice from the hole. That is some impressive shortstopping.

Walk off from Wagner, helping your own cause
|9 weeks 6 days ago||What happened to the bats?||
Scored 7 runs early, and nothing for the last few innings.
|9 weeks 6 days ago||7th||
Well that went poorly, but lets just walk it off now and put this behind us.
|9 weeks 6 days ago||2 outs now||
Tie ball game
|9 weeks 6 days ago||7th||
This has not been ideal so far. Just get these two outs and lets move on.
|9 weeks 6 days ago||Nice play at 3B||
3 more outs
|9 weeks 6 days ago||Agreed||
But is there much of a chance of that happening? I assume ASU is the heavy favorite in that game.

Back to back 1 - 2 - 3 innings. Two more innings like that and bring on Arizona State.
|9 weeks 6 days ago||Tough to judge||
Tough to judge when you are not in the moment like Doyle was. But I agree, she probably should have ran full speed to second, and I bet she would say the same thing after the fact now.
|9 weeks 6 days ago||Betsa||
Now that was a nice inning, lets have more of those please.
|9 weeks 6 days ago||Doyle||
My only guess is she paused to make the tag play more difficult for the second baseman. If she continued running maybe the second baseman was able to tag her and lob it easily to first for the double play.
That is the only explanation I have other than just a brief lapse in judgement.

Bad baserunning again. I believe that is twice a baserunning error cost them a bases loaded opportunity for Romero.

According to a quick google search, MSU won a national title before the NCAA existed (in 1976. Division 1 softball title started in 1982. So Michigan was the first team east of the Mississippi to win an NCAA national title. This all according to Wikipedia.

I love how crazy softball is and that Michigan just scored a run and the ball never left the infield.
|9 weeks 6 days ago||Dang WD, that's crazy||
I keep my air at 80 down here in NC and I still usually cover up with a sheet when I go to sleep at night.

Thats an impressive way to get on the board.
Also did they say the batters have zero responsibility to move out of the way to avoid getting hit by a pitch? That was pretty weak by the SDSU girl in the first, she just stuck her leg out.
|10 weeks 6 hours ago||All Valid Points||
I just get continually amazed at how much rumors of the hot seat or coaching stability seem to factor into these decisions. I wonder is it all coming from negative recruiting from opposing coaches, do these kids track these kind of things on the internet like the rest of us here?
But that is the fickle nature of recruiting and the same thing that led to Hoke's hot recruiting start and Franklin's current run at Penn State. If everything looks good on the outside, it will be enough to keep your recruiting momentum.
|10 weeks 7 hours ago||Thanks champ||
Your comment on my intelligence is quite appreciated, I do consider myself quite the scholar. So thanks, champ, that was the point of my comment. That ND is in the same spot as Michigan, so how is ND still able to recuirt better and potentially steal recruits from Michigan.
But again, thanks for responding with the same thing as bigyellowtaxi, but with a nice little insult thrown in.
|10 weeks 7 hours ago||Kelly||
I agree he is a quality coach (probably not a great person, but thats another matter altogether). Notre Dame has had some more players drafted in his tenure than Hoke's tenure, but Michigan is also a name program as well as ND.
I have just never understood why ND continues to recruit so well, and can possibly snake oil kids from Michigan. But I suppose I could be accussed of bias, seeing as this is a Michigan blog.
Just win and I can stop worrying about this so much, wouldn't that be nice.
|10 weeks 7 hours ago||I just don't understand Notre Dame||
If Crawford wanted to visit Alabama, or even Ohio State, I could understand that, Alabama is Alabama and Ohio State is his home state school who have been really good over the last decade and the last two years under Urbran.
But Notre Dame had one really good year under Kelly, got curb stombed in the National Championship game and have gone 7 - 5, 8 - 4, 8 - 4 in his other three years. Not exactly setting the world on fire here.
Hoke has had is well documented struggles, but Kelly hasn't had much more success in his time at ND, why a visit to ND?
Ok, sorry about that, rant over, enjoy the rest of your Thursday.

Not that I would blame KLS for going there, but aren't UCLA's facilities still terrible? Or did they finally improve them recently?
