They'll just lose to Robert Morris again LOL. Out of all the places these players can go and they choose Kentucky? I would be going down South to Miami for my one and done year LOL.
I don't know any team should be taken lightly. The goal is win the game and turning down the intensity should never be an option in sports. UofM lacks that intensity that is why they have been a 6-6 team in the last 12 games. If everyone picks up their intensity, this team would be so much better. There should never be an off switch unless you're up by 50 pts and you bring the bench in.
I was at the game and watching Morgan struggled sucked. He missed so many point blank shots. Watching him play defense wasn't great either as he doesn't move his feet but put his hands in the air hoping to block something? Thank goodness Mcgary was inserted in for Morgan, that helped a ton. Morgan just needs to be more aggresive.
With all the negative comments, I think everyone just doesn't want to see UofM bounced in the second round again to another mid-major because of the inability to play defense. Good defense leads to a good offense!!!
We just got walked over like we were a high school JV team LOL. I wonder what is going to happen next week when Michigan State comes into Ann Arbor? Hopefully they dont bring us behind the tool shed again because that would suck. I don't know why this team plays with no urgency and plays horrible defense. The team lacks communication, and we do too much ball watching when trey burke is in trouble. Standing around waiting for burke to pass the ball is not an offense and when he gets you the ball we throw up bricks on wide open shots which is mind-boggling. It sucks to lose to the a 0-14 big ten team, but hopefully we wake up? At this rate, we will be bounced from the NCAA Tournament opening round like last season.
GRIII just needs to be less hesistant when he gets the ball. It seems like he is thinking way too much when he does get the ball. He is more of the fill the lane kind of guy.
I agree with you, Stauskas doesn't seem to be giving a lot of effort on defense. By sticking your hand up when someone shoots is not defense. If he is fighting hard through all the picks and denying the ball from the player he is guarding then they wouldn't be scoring as much as they have on him so far in the season. He is getting picked apart.

THJ has horrible handles to be driving it to the rim. He'll just end up turning the ball over and it seems like he is scared of contact. The team in general needs to be more aggresive when they are not making their shots so they can get to the free throw line for some free points.
Not bad of a ranking, UofM hasn't been playing well as of late because of the brutal schedule. Offense has been pretty stagnate, just watching Trey dribble the ball around the court. The defense is pourous since one mistake usually compounds to more. I think they will get their act together for the tournament to make a good run.

UofM just plays soft, if the ref doesn't call it then you have to adapt as a team. The defense is still suspect.
