9 weeks 3 days ago | no |
i would not be an osu, bama, etc fan. i do not care how successful they are but i care where recruits go since its histroically highly correlated to long term success. |
9 weeks 3 days ago | yes, but |
this dude was not jsut offered, he was verbally committed and for a long time. |
9 weeks 3 days ago | yes, this is kinda the point |
Just because 2018 was a "down" year doesn't mean i have to force this narrative that 2019 is the cure all when its soo far away and we just saw what happened last year with early commits. The "JH can do no wrong" crowd is just as ridiculous as the "JH should be fired" crowd |
9 weeks 3 days ago | happy now? |
just for you trueblue... |
11 weeks 1 day ago | panic might be strong |
but its hard to undersell how terrible the last month of recruiting has been for Michigan.. - DT Friday picks OSU at the last minute - OT NPF goes from total toss up to OSU at last minute - OT Patterson picks ND who just lost their OLine coach - WR Chase who had picked up some stream drops off the board
- LB Reese, a long long time commit flips to Georgia - Michigan signs its 5th DB for reasons unknown - Michigan gets a 6th DB (transfer) for reasons unknown - Michigan picks up PWO Kicker and QB......

he also wrote a short update about it on the site too |

Reese to Georgia.... |
11 weeks 1 day ago | meh |
having no one on the board is what waters it down.... i bet things are pretty lively in South Bend, Clemson, Tallahassee, etc... |
11 weeks 1 day ago | who said don't take him? |
if you came to that conclusion i think you should re-read the thread |
11 weeks 1 day ago | yeah... |
these replies basically confirm my worries... and whether or not an incoming FS could have started is not the point. The issue here is that this groups needs more bullets in the chamber than any other group on the team |
11 weeks 1 day ago | Otis Reese |
whether they keep him or not seem fairly irrelevant when compared to how poorly the Oline recruiting has been. It's conceivable that they don't have a single starting level OT on the roster which is alarming. I feel a lot better about prospects at LB/V than I do OT and that's with or without Reese. |
11 weeks 2 days ago | they have a strong relationship |
with a guy who is leaving for the NFL... cool |

5:45 in....."Michigan still has a shot" coming from "well placed sourvces" in tampa |
11 weeks 2 days ago | complaining about "recruiting" |
on the whole i think is misplaced and fairly ignorant but i think its totally fair to complain about the offensive line recruiting in particular OT. They may not have a single quaity starting tackle on their entire roster and that is fair to judge harshley until proven otherwise especially since this has been an ongoing issue. |

his recruiting roundup |
11 weeks 2 days ago | not exactly true |
for whatever its worth Sam just said yesterday they were still in it and Trieu said something similar recently. |
12 weeks 1 day ago | No mention of J. Patterson |
i get it, everyone loves Sam and he has access to information that almost no one else gets but the cost of that access is he can almost never say anything critical of the team. Not even mentioning the fact that one of the most important recruits left on the board has dropped Michigan seems a bit odd considering the name of his segment is "recruiting roundup" |
16 weeks 2 days ago | Hoke was 4 years ago... |
i simply mean that of the 3 seasons Harbaugh has had at Michigan, you can make the arguement that its gotten steadily worse. Esp with offense. |
16 weeks 2 days ago | i felt .. |
not much yesterday to be honest. I found out this wasn't a very good team but in fact i already knew that. The real alarming thing is that they may have been getting worse for the last 3 years and not better. It does feel like some head(s) have to roll to get anythign going here. The WTKA guys seems to have settled on "nothings guaranteed" and "Jim's staying so nothing else matters" narrative which...doesn't exactly instill confidence, nor is it particularly insightful. i'm hoping over the weeks and months to come, MGOBLOG will fill that void |
19 weeks 3 days ago | This is a bad take |
The vast majority of Wentz runs, including this one, are not designed. It's just him chosing to scramble and having the athletisicm to make that work. He's had very few designed QB runs this year. And when you say "run that offense" I have no idea what you mean. They run a ton of RPO but those are not QB run options those are RB run options. He takes hits for a lot of reasons, designed running is not one of them. to sum up.. .your take was awful |
22 weeks 2 days ago | Youth issue |
I'm looking for a more sound reason why "youth" is largely being blamed for most (all) of the teams problems this year yet the defense is every bit as young and they have been good to very good, the offense on the other hand has topped out at mediocre. The only answer i have seen so far is "offense is harder"... it can't be that simple, can it? |
27 weeks 4 days ago | maybe |
but who's to say Peters can't pull a Sam Darnold or, from the NFL, a Deshaun Watson. maybe he's just a gamer and doesn't shine in practice. I'm not saying this is likely, but I'm certain JOK isn't the answer. Purdue was the outlier... everything else says he is who we thought he was. |
27 weeks 4 days ago | 5 yards passing in a half |
is not "run heavy", its "run only" and you cannot win that way against good teams. If that is how little faith the coaches have in JOK, you gotta sit him. |
27 weeks 5 days ago | nothing to gain with Okorn |
he is exactly what he looks like and you cannot win against a good team with him. Maybe Peters can't do it either but ill take a maybe over a definitely not any chance I get. |
28 weeks 2 days ago | Blame Don Brown! |
of course this is slightly tounge in cheek but the defense having so much success and looking so compitent with some many new starters does really make the offense look that much worse comparitively. Why can we replace talented departures with youth and inexperience across the board on one side and be totally inept on the other? I understand that offense may be harder to pick-up in college and especially on the O-liine but the regression seems pretty severe. |

i would think Georgia's QB depth chart is even harder to crack than Michigans with Eason and Fromm both there already. |
1 year 12 weeks ago | Mason |
Didn't he day today he was playing LB? Also, The left side of the oline... Not great Bob |
1 year 12 weeks ago | Chad Simmons on Willie |
Just said he thinks Michigan is out and its MissSt or LSU... for whatever that's worth |
1 year 13 weeks ago | This seems not so subtle.. |
"—it looks like they'll get one more"... buckle up? |
1 year 14 weeks ago | Seems logical |
even if they are different kind of WR's you can't help but see the trend to Georgia and think this is the case. I assume the same thing about Ellis Brooks and Willie Gay even tho they too are very different kind of LB's. |
