It's not the team, but I was really surprised Dave Brandon got another gig so quickly. Actually shocked. Nice to see that money come off the books.

What choice did UM have? Was suspending his top back - a Heisman candidate - even an option? No way. He had to support him - no way was he even going to consider playing us without him.

But Harbaugh doesn't have any single season passing records, no?
How can Rudock break a record that doesn't exist?

What Harbaugh passing record was the reporter referring to that Rudock was about to break? Or did he just mean to say that Jake was going to be passing Jim on the single season list?

I feel like this is one of those time where I need to put a lot of money on MSU to cover the 1.5 points. If they cover, I will be very happy to win a lot of money. If they lose, I will be very happy that we get to play Iowa. It's like I can't lose.

Quickly moved to Michigan -1.5
Also - I expected MSU to be at least a 7 point favorite against PSU. Do they have info that Cook is not playing?

I love this channel - they show a lot of great music content - live concerts and festivals. It's prominently positioned right before all of the sports channels on my Verizon Fios line-up so I'm frequently watching it. Had no idea we had an upcoming game on this channel.

Did you have to wait in line to get in? We got to the gate just after 10:30AM thinking that it was going to be a long wait and it literally took 30 seconds. And as I mentioned during the week how the security staff only checked one of my pockets at the Indiana game - even after the guy told me that had to be very thorough... the same thing happened at Penn State! I got a slight pat down by what seemed to be a student - but they only checked one of my pockets! I don't get it. At least they checked your hand warmer. Maybe they were only doing thorough spot checks on random people?

I prepare for games in November like I'm going to be lost in Alaska for a week. Just buy the hand warmers that they sell everywhere at Dick's, Meijer, Walmart etc. Also get the toe warmers. My wife gets cold really easy so we take a blanket, double layer of socks, a few shirts under a hoodie, under a fleece, under a winter coat, wool hat and scarf. And then yes - top it off with some hot chocolate and you're good to go.
Also - if your tickets are on the bench - like most people - consider investing in a cushion.
|3 days 6 hours ago||Haha - I've had this same||
Haha - I've had this same issue this year! I've had the hot chocolate in a few stadiums this season and nothing tastes as good as the Tim Hortons hot chocolate at the Big House...when it's done right. Last year - it was great 100% of the time. This year, every other hot chocolate I've ordered has been great - the other times, all water, no chocolate. In fact, at the Rutgers game, I ordered 2 small hot chocolates - which I assumed were from the same batch as I ordered at the same time for me and my wife. Mine was almost all water... and my wife's was perfect! I didn't have the patience to take my back so we mixed and shared, but it just wasn't the same.
This is actually a big issue for me, and there are a few Tim Horton's around me - where I live, but it's just not the same as the ones at the game - in my mind anyway. I even tried Dunkin Donuts, and that wasn't even close.

Possibly, the only thing I remember about that experience was the awesome Michigan tailgate the day before the game. I've tried to wipe away all the other memories from that game.
|5 days 14 hours ago||Last week in Bloomington, the||
Last week in Bloomington, the security guy at the gate said they were going to have to thoroughly search me because of what happened in Paris. I had a big coat over a pocketed fleece. I took out whatever was in the right coat pocket and they let me through - not even asking me what was in any of my other 5 pockets or even a pat down. That sort of experience always leaves me a bit uneasy. I'd rather get the pat down so that I know everybody that enters is checked out and thus creating a relatively safe environment.

My confirmation email stated that they were $90 each. You can kind of figure out where the tickets would be by looking at the Stubhub listing. Seems like there are lower bowl spaces for each team on opposite ends of the stadium with no tickets for sale yet.

Am I crazy to think that this game would not have been so close had it been played earlier in the season? IU definitely would've had a lot more than 2 punts in the game since they were just going for it on every fourth down early in the game.
No way PSU or OSU go for it on each 4th down the way IU did. IU had nothing to lose, PSU and OSU have too much on the line.

American flies to the airport 6 miles from the PSU campus. It flies from Laguardia with a stop in Philly. Unfortunately for you, a taxi to Laguardia is going to cost you more than the Megabus, unless you take the bus to the airport. Then you only have to pay the $300 flight each way. Good luck getting there - maybe reach out to the NYC Alumni group to see if they are taking a bus this year - or if they know anybody going in groups?

Ha - I just looked on SH and somebody is selling tickets in my same row for $140 and they are including parking. That's a much better deal than I am offering. I'm just not ready to go that low yet.
|1 week 3 days ago||I actually have 2 tickets on||
I actually have 2 tickets on the 45 yardline - 12 rows up - ROW P - behind the Michigan Bench. I paid $200 each, and I'm going to be lucky to get $300 of that back as I have them up on Stubhub for $175 each. I'd sell them to you for $165 each - no fees if you were interested (SH fees are going to make it over $400). I'm going to be at the game too - we end up getting seats on the Club level so we could be indoors to warm up during half time (I'd feel guilty if I made the wife freeze outdoors - I already feel bad enough about the 4 hours drive each way).
|1 week 3 days ago||Great stuff!I feel like most||
I feel like most away games I go to are kind of 'campy'/'dorky' compared to the bigger school like ours or Penn State. It's just such a much smaller stage. I almost feel like I was at a different game as I didn't notice your points 1-3.
The PA announcer didn't bother me - the fans seemed to love it. I definitely saw cowbell girl. I was impressed. I don't remember her at the Utah or Maryland game.
Indiana fans were nice - but I was in the section where they kept talking about great teams from the 80s or at least bowls games that they were in 20 years ago. The fans in general reminded me of the ones at Rutgers - generally assuming that they were going to find a way to blow the game.
I thought about going for 2 for a second when time ran out, but I deffered to Harbaugh on that one.
Really bad calls made for both teams, so I guess it's a wash...I guess.
Side note - I thought it was cool that the IU mom a few seats over told her young kids that her favorite fight song was "Hail To The Victors".
Overall - it was a great time and a massive feeling of relief to win that game. Obviously...
It was also fun to hang around after the game and cheer on the players as they made their way to the bus. It was much better than waiting in traffic.
