Seeing as all Dave and Buster's are corporate owned (and not franschised, which would've made it easier to hide some shady business like your scenario), I highly doubt it would be possible for someone to create a BS overpaid job for a student athlete there.

So, we basically got jinxed by our own fearless leader's list of players post that prematurely penciled Lindsay into the roster? Well, that was dissapointing.

This is the same school who's practice field literally blew on to the highway during a windy day a few years ago, so I do find the fact that anyone goes their spring game absolutely incredible.

I'm not a soccer "hater." I'm a soccer "don't carer." I'm came in here expecting to see something so awesome it would even cause me to at least emit an ounce positive of positive feeling towards soccer. Alas, no, it didn't. All this clip did was just reaffirm my reasonings for not caring about soccer. I'm sure it's a great sport if you know and love it, but if that play is one that fans of the sport consider amazing, please continue to count me out.

Yes, Trey Burke was the national player of the year in 2013, but wasn't even voted as the best player in the Big Ten.

By sooner, I assume you mean the day before he decided to trade Chauncey for Iverson and thus doomed the Pistons to going down the path of being a basement dweller in the league for the forseeable future.
Dumars reign was a tale of two cities. There was no middle ground. He went from being one the best and most respected front office guys in pro sports to all of the sudden being hands down one of the worst. We may have better players now then we had a few years ago, but they are not players who work well together. This current roster is complete mess and don't think it's going to be that easy to get it cleaned up.

True, it may be an overplayed stance, but it doesn't mean it's not a stance that has some merit to it. As someone who does not live in the spotlight like Nik, I can't truly compare my life experiences to him, but I'll certainly try here. I'm on facebook a lot, I've made a lot of posts, and people have made a bunch of posts about me. But if I had gotten a new job or a big promotion and was waiting for the right time to tell everyone who's not worthy of knowing face to face about it, I'd be pissed off as all hell if some co-worker or family member decided to say something online in regards to it before me.
Yes, I know, apples to oranges comparison, but there is such a thing as common decency and Nik is a human just like me who probably has the same feelings about wanting to spill his own beans. It's all a moot point anyways, because with the way ESPN and the like have become, you probably don't get to keep your job there by being a reporter that honors common decency.
|2 weeks 16 hours ago||I disagree...for different reasons.||
Somewhere along the line, many media outlets stop caring about reporting the news on actual facts, but instead turned towards the goal of being "first" to report anything of note, regardless of whether or not it's been confirmed or if there are actual facts behind said news. If the news is being reported in such a way or time that the person who the subject of the story has to come out and flat out refute it, then yes, I have a problem with it (this more goes for non-scandal related situations, of course). I read ESPN regularly, but as someone else said not too long ago on here, ESPN has turned into the TMZ of sports.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||He didn't necessarily stab 20 people...||
I read somewhere earlier today that not all the injuries were due to stabbing. I'm sure in a situation like this, there are bound to be a few people injured due to getting trampled and pushed by others frantically trying to get out of harm's way.

Stauskas, McGary and Robinson jerseys? I'm sorry, you must be confused. The only NCAA licensed jerseys that are allowed to be sold are generic school specific jerseys with random numbers on them (which if they happen to coincide with the numbers of any current student athlete, it is due to pure coincidence). We apologize for any confusion, and we thank you for your money.
- Sincerely, Mark Emmert

I never want to put down my own team, but let's be honest, right now Alabama>>>>>>>Michigan. On top of that, our weakest position group is our O-Line. I will happily take a proven backup OL from Bama over the best of what we have right now, if nothing else, at least to provide some legitimate competition. There's no reason to not want him to come to Ann Arbor.

Besides, as Michigan fans, we should know better than to assume a transfer is ever headed to Ann Arbor, regardless of any talk pointing towards that happening. Football transfers to U of M are few and far between.

|2 weeks 3 days ago||Jalen saying that doesn't||
Jalen saying that doesn't necessarily hurt our argument. Jalen owns the trademark to "Fab Five" so if he can build some hype in calling UK the Fab Five and thus inspire some folks get some UK merch rolling out with that on it, he's in for a big payday in royalties. In other words, don't mind him, he's just being an oppurtunistic businessman here.

Hand he was dealt?!?!?! If college basketball and recruiting was a big poker game, Calipari would be the asshole who keeps getting caught cheating but just shrugs his shoulders, says "you got me," then moves to a different table and continues to cheat anyways.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Well, I believe Fab Five is a||
Well, I believe Fab Five is a trademarked term (by Jalen maybe). So no, just like the US women's gynamastics team in 2012 found out, UK legally and technically doesn't have a Fab Five. Take that, Parrish!
(Edit) - Besides, the Fab Five changed the face of college basketball (and athletic fashion as well). There is much more to what Webber and Co. accomplished than just hardware in a trophy case.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||It may not be something I need, but it's something I want.||
Welp, in my house I have 2 desktops, 3 laptops, 3 bigscreens (with multiple game systems, blu-ray/dvd players and cable boxes connected to each one )and 5 large bookcases, each one completely packed with books/games/dvds. This means a lot of hanging wires, surge protectors and shelves that can be tipped over without a ton of effort. Yeah, I'm gonna just go ahead and babyproof my place anyways.

It's Spring cleaning day for me. My 7 month old finally learned how to crawl (really fast and really far) this past week, so half ass picking up won't do anymore. Maybe buying that carpet cleaner won't turn out to be a bad investment after all. Next weekend will be the dreaded babyproofing day. Being an adult sucks sometimes.

There's a difference between it being "the most flawed major sport" and it being a sport you dislike. The first statement comes across as a purported truth by someone who is uneducated on the topic, the other is an opinion that is absolutely fine to make. The fact is, you just don't understand the sport of baseball and thus have no respect for it. I wouldn't like any sport I didn't have an understanding of either. But to trounce out here and say it the most flawed sport is really no different than you just saying "Hey MGoBlog, I'm ignorant, and if there's something I don't understand, it must have nothing to do with me, but instead be because it in itself is terrible."
Don't get it twisted, it's a great and beautiful sport, and it just happens to not be your cup of tea. Sucks for you.

Someone posted this on Facebook a couple days ago. I didn't watch/read it and just assumed it was a joke. I saw it here, and decided to watch it and see what it was all about. I actually did believe it was true and that I had just rushed to judgement to quickly on this the other day. And then I saw the article that said it was indeed an April Fool's joke after all. This roller coaster of emotions as now made me sad.

Lots of people talk about players or teams in general being soft. Sims, however, was legitimately soft. Too many times I watched him get the ball under the basket with not a soul in sight to challenge him, and he would sit there and pump fake 2-3 times just out of pure fear that it would be contested. This of course would give the defense plenty of time to get over there and actually defend the shot, and well, it hardly ever ended well.
Courtney was not just soft and scared of contact, he played like was absolutely petrified by just the mere thought of contact. I always hoped someday he would realize he was bigger and stronger than anyone around him, but he never did.

Definitely has to be Epke Udoh for me. That man could've been a great Wolverine. We all kind of knew that he had that potential, but no one truly believed how close he was to accomplishing that until he blew up in a big way at Baylor.
