Say what you will, but while I don't enjoy most of Miley's music, "Party in the USA" is a mighty fine tune. And I comfortably say that as a secure, masculine 29 year old man. Also, if you must know, I do also enjoy the occasional Cher song as well. I say that less comfortably then the previous item, but as a random as it is, I felt like I needed to get that off my chest and the time was right.

I hold make believe grudges with fantasy football players who have let me down in the past and I struggle mightily to let them go.
|1 day 10 hours ago||Yeah, I think it's elitist.||
Yeah, I think it's elitist. I'm not a U of M alum. But besides being a life-long fan and Ann Arbor resident, I worked for the university for a few years. Do I get to say I have a deeper relationship with U of M than alumni because while they were paying to be a part of the school, the school was paying me to be a part of it?
What it comes down is that alumni are trully more apt to have a stronger bond with the school because of a tie that will never be broken. Michigan will always be a part of you. But just as there can be apathetic alumni anywhere, U of M is the type of school that can build such a great , undying passion in those who have no formal association with it. When it comes to Wolerines and fanhood specifically, never once assume your Michigan degree has created a stronger (or even equivalent) bond to Michigan than the so-called Wal-Mart Wolverine sitting next you in the stands who has made a conscious and unsolicited effort to dedicate his unassociated time, money and emotions towards this school.

Yeah! Fuck him. He was all good and shit his rookie season with the Panthers, so the next year I wasted a high draft pick in my fantasy football league to get him and he was a complete bust.

...according to the record books already, UNC played some phantom team in the National Championship game that season. Michigan takes credit for the loss, but on paper, they weren't really there (due to the Ed Martin scandal).

This the most downvotes I believe I've seen on a post in a posbang thread in a while, especially for one that is just a gif with no additional commentary. Now, I'm not going to downvote you like a few others have, but I will say I'm impressed at your failure.

Hmm...yes. As someone who once had a friend who's mom was a pharmacist, in my knowledgable and professional opinion, I'd have to concur.

Haha, I don't think that's too far off. At least when I was still in school at Western, for all MAC schools, you just had to show your student ID to get in. I think it's a reward for sucessfully crossing the road to get to the entrance without drunkely getting hit by a car (or stepping in the literal horse shit from the riding cops) after making your way through the the house/lawn tailgates that lead up to the stadium.

I went to school for an English major with a creative writing emphasis (the goal was to become a copywriter or editor somewhere down the road). I now work in IT (as I have for pretty much the past 8 years) and only now have I gotten into using my education by dabbling in some technical communications, which is very little of my daily job duties. My story is not unique for English - creative writing majors. Use this information as you will.

Haha, are you kidding me? Spoofing is incredibly easy to accomplish, and no it's not illegal at all. It's actually a very common practice for perfectly respectable and non-malicious purposes. Case in point, say you intiating an email to someone else or yourself from a website (non-webmail). It some situations, it will want to send that email as you, but isn't going to bother searching for or having you insert the smtp server info of your email provider. So, it's going to send it from it's own server smtp protocols while just spoofing it to show that was sent from you, when that's clearly not the case. Additionally, I could go into my outlook right now and specify in there to say to show the from and return email address of anything I send as mgoblog @ gmail.com. There's not a damn thing that could stop me besides the recipients SPF records and my conscience. Since most people don't know what internet headers of an email are, let alone how to effectively read them, spoofing can often go unnoticed if it's not obviously illegitimate.
Now, since spoofing does come along with people using it with bad intentions, it's a common practice to add SPF records to your domain to prevent emails coming through or going out from IP addresses that are different the what the reverse dns states that it should be coming from. Also, large mail providers such as Yahoo and AOL (lol) have started to implement similarly policies to prevent spoofing, but that doesn't mean all spoofing is bad.
Morale of the story, spoofing is perfectly legal and extremely easy, and unfortunately is often used for the wrong reasons. Somehow tricking the internet headers of an email to effectively and convincingly show information that is inaccurate is extremely difficult if not near impossible.

I think it all stems from U of M doing everything it could to stop MSU from joining the Big Ten for a couple decades leading up to their entrance in 1950. We've always had that feeling around us that MSU doesn't belong in the same stratum as us and that they want to just ride our coattails in their pursuit to become or even (gasp!) outdo us. While this elitist opinion about MSU is not as true as it once was, it is something very much engrained into the Wolverines. So while I think to say we don't prepare has hard or care as much is a bit of an exagerration, I think we inately play the role of the stuck up aristocrats who turn up our noses or show apathy at blue collar Sparty. In turn, Sparty expertly plays its role as the disrespected up and comer.
Whether this charade has anything to do with the outcome of the game is a whole other story, but it certainly adds a little more bite to the plot line year in and year out.

Now, when you say a keg or two, I assume you are talking about per person. As I'll only drink a pony keg by myself, 1 or 2 kegs per person might be a bit overkill.

"Gregg Henson gets the Assclown tag: I tried to establish Henson's credibility, even reached out to him on Twitter. The guy is getting emails from one former player passing along the suite of dubious stories, and is trying to use that to become the MC for the downfall of this administration. I've decided to just not bite. Treat Henson stories like Drew Sharp et al."
