Once again, Michigan is the highest ranked 2 loss team. The commitee likes this team, they just need to endear them a bit more with W's.

Money quote from RCMB
"Easily could be 4-5. Rutgers, Purdue, Michigan, and Oregon all could've went the other way. It was always coming, just took a while."
About damn time.

What relation do you have to Wilton? Seems evident.

Being the highest ranked 2 loss team says a lot IMO

Though I honestly haven't had much experience with east side eateries, I'm convinced there isn't a better burger in Michigan than at Stella's in Grand Rapids.
GQ rated it the best burger in the US in 2012.

I'd have to guess that some of the drafting may be used to light a fire under some to step their game up? No?

Rumor is the Treetops staying fraternity has been doing this for years and they bring money for said damages with them. Treetops is holding onto bad finanacial debt that's far too old. Money like this for "repairs" is a nice little infusion.

This just screams, "I'm out of touch".
...and no, I will not get off your lawn. Matlock is on though, don't miss it!

Just keep shuffling the deck until the top card is an Ace.
|1 year 13 weeks ago||Wow||
Mind quantifying that? I have a feeling you'll struggle.
|1 year 13 weeks ago||Yeah!||
I was upset when he was injured. I thought he had a legit chance at being our #1 back. The rumors out of camp that year were he was possibly the best RB on the team. I assume he got side-lined because Green was promised something in recruitment.
So excited the kid finally got the chance. Looks like he capitalized on it.
|1 year 16 weeks ago||Telling||
I thought this part was pretty telling of the attitude of some players? Why put it otherwise? The last part especially.
"Effort is between you and you. It can be faked. But why fake it?"

A bunch of people convincing themselves they know best.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||Yikes||
You've come down with a peculiar case of confirmation bias.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||LOL||
How is that tin foil hat treating you?
As someone who used to do things like this. The design and concept is usually by some intern graphic designer who meets specific rules and graphics criteria and posts it to a queue. Then someone just a smidge higher up confirms the posts and they are scheduled at variable times such as peak reach/impression hours or for specific demographic targeting etc. It's not like there is some DB authorized counsil drudging themselves over twitpics and facebook posts.
UM also pays a shit ton for their social media director if I recall directly. Though i'm not sure how they, or their team function with the Atheletic Department.

I think his point was, even given the loss to Fucking Rutgers, there was forward progress instead of being "stuck in reverse".

I love this post. OP with the genius level trolling. We'll done sir, well fucking done.

Brandon could make the rest of the games free for the rest of the year and someone would find a way to spin it as self-serving/us-against-them. While Brandon may have some of those characteristics, this event does not seem like one of them. That is... unless you have an ax to grind and have an abundance of confirmation bias.
The best thing that could happen here is that the fans follow suit with the athletes and join in on the support. This is not about the fans, no matter how hard some try to convince themselves it is.
See... the above perspective is just as valid as your own. But, whichever 'black and white' side you decide to choose is the most telling. At this point, the "I support the athletes and not the coaches/AD" is becoming harder to believe as an honest sentiment.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||wow||
The fact that you're downplaying your hyperbole is telling.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||you can||
You can be unhappy all you want. Just don't believe anyone associated with the team has to care about what you think. In that respect, we are all irrelevant spectators.
|1 year 17 weeks ago||percisely||
Unfortunately the mob is pouting "why aren't they listening to us! We know what's best"!
|1 year 17 weeks ago||wow||
That is a complete non sequitur. Comparing student athletes to a car. No wonder you're pouting, you think it's a service to entertain you, not an athletic competition. Maybe Devin Gardener could dress up as a clown and dance for you. Would that be worth your precious dollar?
|1 year 17 weeks ago||what?||
Any fan who thinks because they buy a ticket it provides them clout in criticism needs their head checked. You are a spectator, your opinion is insignificant when it comes to how the team operates. I don't understand this self importance. You can anoint yourself as some "seer of perspective" all you want, but that doesn't mean anyone on the team has to give a flying fuck what you think.
|1 year 18 weeks ago||I can only...||
I can only hope. The anger and denial is getting out of control. My biggest beef is with the booing. There is a place for it, but not at the magnitude we've seen at recent games. I faintly remember Kalis or some other freshman last year(?) being surprised that a team "would boo it's own players like that."
The problem isn't the reaction, it's that it has gotten excessive and spiteful. Maybe i'm just as delusional as the rest.
|1 year 18 weeks ago||Fire and Brimstone||
Bascially the admin is telling fanatics like we have had here to "go sit in the corner and think about how you're acting".
Part of that is spot on, level-headedness. The other half is lackadaisical attention to the athletic program. This board, and many like it found the golden goose in the Shane fiasco to burn the torches brighter. In the end, the likelihood that a bunch of fans don't show up and spend money is low. We'll see a revoling door of patrons unless things get 2-10/3-9. Hoke will stay until Dec, if not have all of 2015 to turn the boat around. The problem being, those who actually make the decisions see the uproar as "fans being fans" and not an institutional problem that needs immediate care.
UM is very far from rock bottom as an atheltic department, though the football team is certainly struggling to regain national prominance. This board used to be a calm and reasonable place for discourse, given you're able to look away for 24 hours after a bad loss. Yet, it seems like it's slowly turning into Mlive. I want to shake the forum screaming, "get yourself together man!!!" I guess I'll pack my bags for Peru or Boliva what-have-you, as i'm sure this sort of perspective will not go over well.
|1 year 18 weeks ago||Yeah||
This is totally bogus.
|1 year 18 weeks ago||Yeap||
My bullshit meter is at 9000. If anyone on here has gotten drunk off the hate kool-aid, it's WD.
|1 year 18 weeks ago||Wow||
The lack of self-awareness and contridictory lambasting on here is becoming criminal.
Maybe it's because i've never been a "true" Michigan fan and lack the awareness and experience of being a fan of the Wolverines before 2000, but the amount of "pride before the fall" going on here is catestrophic. I want to fill this paragraph with as many cliches as possible as it seems like that's the only argument being made right now. The anti-"Michigan Man" cliche which would have gotten you thrown to the wolves only 3 years ago. The amount of grasping at any strawman to combat the 'no true scotman' fallacies is the pinnicle of a fan base foaming at the mouth without any regard for reason; purely emotional reactionaries looking to burn whatever they can get their hands on at the stake.
There is a reason major news networks picked up the story: It's click bait
There is a reason national sports pundits keep saying this wouldn't be an issue if it was Saban at Alabama or UM was 5-0 because it's wholly accurate. We would be knee-slappin all night long about how Hoke said Shane had a "boo-boo" and we can't wait til get Sparty on the 25th. But, UM is 2-3 and the horizon looks dark, so we dip the straw in the kerosene and rumble angirly down toward the next gameday looking for an inch of excuse to string up the next shadow of Michigan arrogance.
