Yeah sure. Warren will give…

Yeah sure. Warren will give in to the wants of the players and the parents. And next time there is a decision to be made he will just defer to the will of the players and the parents. Let the lunatics run the asylum.

What I expect to happen is that the conferences that haven't postponed football will wait until the last minute and then they will cancel before any games are played.

I've had several beater cars

I've had several beater cars where I bought the cheapest brake parts available when doing pads and rotors. I've never had any kind of failure where a component broke but I have had brake rotors warp, more than likely because of a major temp change to the rotors when splashing through a puddle when the rotors were hot.

There will be lots of choices just in brake pad material, semi-metallic, organic, ceramic. Going with OE might be your best bet.

I have a high performance car that I did brakes on and I was going to just use the OE pads and rotors but the pads were just so over-priced that I couldn't rationalize paying that much for normal brake pads. I went with Bosch pads and have liked them. Bosch has a few different grades, I went with their higher end pads. They stop fantastically, are quiet, and don't dust too badly.

As long as the rotors have enough material left and can be resurfaced and be within factory specs for thickness I wouldn't replace them.

I would definitely flush and replace the brake fluid, unless it has been done recently. Use what the manufacturer recommends as far as grade of fluid. Brake fluid, unless it is silicone fluid which I can pretty much guarantee it isn't, is hydrscopic. It absorbs water from the air and the water has a much lower boiling point than brake fluid, so in the event of heavy braking the water can boil off in the caliper which can cause the loss of clamping force and loss of braking. The system also has to be bled so there is zero air in the system also. You can google how to do this. It isn't hard but has to be done right as air in the system will cause a loss of braking power at best and a loss of braking power at worst.

As someone else stated, it

As someone else stated, it doesn't look like 2013 avengers or any avengers for that matter were offered with a CVT. So it sounds like Carmax doesn't know what they are talking about.

There are most definitely transmissions that learn and adapt to your driving style. Whether your transmission adapts and learns, I don't know.

You might be able to disconnect the negative battery cable for a few minutes to "reset" the adaptations but with some vehicles this doesn't work, the car has to be connected to a computer for the adaptations to be reset.

Having the fluid flushed is not something I would recommend, there is a possibility that a chunk of sludge or contaminant will become dislodged from a place where it is probably not doing any harm and end up in an fluid passage and create more problems than the flush solves. Having the pan dropped, the fliter changed and the fluid that comes out of the pan replaced with fresh fluid would be a good idea just as a maintenance procedure.

There are forums specific to the avenger where you can post your issues and you might get some good information there.

Nobody is perfect.
Even if a

Nobody is perfect.

Even if a parent had the opportunity to be in every treatment session that Aly may have had with Nassar, he was a monster that fooled a lot of people.

Intravaginal manual therapy is a treatment used for certain pelvic disorders, althought it is rare. Imagine one of the girls has a pelvic or groin issue and goes to see Nassar to get treatment, maybe with a parent present, Nassar starts to explain some anatomy and medical jargon to the girl and parent. He is a Dr. who is is trusted, is supposed to do no harm, and the explanation sounds logical. Maybe the parent even looks up the treatment on google and sure enough there it is. If Nassar is able to fool a parent, that just reinforces the idea that the treatment is warranted and legitimate to the girl, after all mom or dad is there and they approve.

Nassar is a monster, who built trust with these girls, who were exactly that young girls, who trusted this monster, as did the parents. I'm sure these girls were getting injured all the time and I'm sure Nassar treated them for other issues and had positive results so he built trust over time. Their parents saw the girls recover from injuries after being treated by Nassar so he built trust with the parents.

As for the girls feeling like they couldn't speak out about it, I can think of many reasons; guilt, embarrassment, shame. Not being sure that what had happened was wrong.

I'm sure these parents are feeling tons of guilt and shame that they weren't able to protect their children from this monster. I believe I read that one of the victim's father committed suicide, which the girl says was because of his inability to protect her from Nassar.

Hard not to be excited about

Hard not to be excited about Shea's arm strength and his ability to escape pressure and extend plays. I also like his ability to stand in and make the pass when a rusher is flying in on him.

I do have concerns about his ability to read defenses and play from under center in a pro style offense. I believe Ole Miss ran a check with me, air raid style offense and IMG ran a spread.

I hope that Shea can adapt to more of a pro style offense and can make multiple reads required in Harbaugh's offense. I imagine if Shea is allowed to play next year that Harbaugh will adapt the offense somewhat to Shea's strength's.

I think you should start a

I think you should start a third and fourth thread whining about the officials, two is definitely not enough. Man, the whining gets old fast.

Officials effect the outcome of games.

Michigan didn't make the plays when it counted. Period. The reason they lost the game include wide open receivers being overthrown repeatedly, a QB that panics and stops thinking in the face of pass rush, gift interception dropped, defense that can't make timely stops on 3rd downs.

I haven't cut the cord yet

I haven't cut the cord yet but I think PS vue is the way to go. I have a chromecast and firestick. I like the firestick better just because it has it's own remote. PS vue and kodi should be everything you ever need.  Buy your own cable modem and router and one last thing you need to rent from the cable company forever.

I haven't looked into a bridge program like that but I will now. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for all the replies,

Thanks for all the replies, much appreciated. I'm not sure what I am going to do but the UM DPT program is attractive because they will allow you to go part time. I am just finishing up a PTA program and would like to work as a PTA while pursuing my DPT.

Definitely fill it with

Definitely fill it with concrete. Mix the concrete a LITTLE more wet, the wetter the concrete the weaker it is. Pour in a concrete and then use a piece of rebar to plunge down into the wet concrete over and over to help the concrete settle. Do this repeatedly after pouring in say half a 5 gallon bucket of concrete. It is important that you don't have any voids in the concrete. I would also place one piece of #4 rebar in the center of the pipe before you start to fill the pipe. If you have a one piece pole this won't be real easy, it will be easier with a multi piece pipe. Try to keep the rebar centered in the pipe as you fill with concrete.

It looks like it was the Chancellor of the school who put the heat on to get Beckman to resign. Fedora has egg all over his face, chest, he's pretty much covered in it. Here are some quotes from Fedora when questioned why Beckman was coaching there.

"I don't believe everything I read, all right?"

"I know Tim, I know his side of the story, also. So I was comfortable with it. If I wouldn't have been, obviously I wouldn't have brought him."

"I mean the guy didn't win enough games. That's all it was."

Not to mention that Bechman was there to only watch film and gameplan and have no contact with players. Lo and behold on his first day working there is a photo of him on the practice field holding a piece of paper working with a player.

This is a glorified PR stunt.

This is a glorified PR stunt. You can get a Tebow autographed baseball bat for $175 and an autographed ball for $125. http://www.si.com/nfl/2016/08/15/tim-tebow-selling-autographed-bats-baseballs

Wouldn't Tebow make more money as an ESPN mouthpiece rather than playing in the minors? Or could he do both?

Why does anyone have to

Why does anyone have to "justify" being a fan of something that they can't or don't participate in personally or let their children participate in said activity?

Axl was a horribly bad live

Axl was a horribly bad live singer when GNR was popular. Something tells me he hasn't improved.  I saw them at the height of their power touring with Metallica. GNR was horrible, just horrible live. Axl threw a fit halfway through a song and walked off stage and the band followed. The crowd went ballistic and the band came back out and replayed the song that they were playing when Axl threw his little fit. They played one short encore. Sound quality in general was terrible. Metallica blew them off the stage, played a much longer set, 2 maybe 3 encores. You would think watching a real tight live band, with amazing stage presence, energy and emotion night after night GNR would have learned something. Nope.

What is the over/under on how many dates they have to cancel because Axl's "voice" gives out?

What the hell are you talking

What the hell are you talking about, short attention span, I don't have a short....hey look a squirrel!

So the last how many decades

So the last how many decades of futility of Lions football has been because of things beyond their control?  When a team is garbage for that long, what does logic dictate that people should expect? Eleven playoff appearances since 1958. Eleven. One playoff win since 1950. The world is obviously stacked against this team. It has nothing to do with the decisions made by ownership and management.

They did win the championship in 1957 though. So there is something.

That was amazing. Even with

That was amazing. Even with that little stumble coming out of the 3rd corner he still beat the record. Unreal. Kid is having quite the rookie campaign.

I guess what I should have

I guess what I should have said is that of the three teams MSU played one beat them, one lost by an act of the football gods, and the other lost because their OC lost his mind and stopped handing the ball to Elliot.

My point is Iowa and MSU are way overrated.

As weak as MSU's schedule was

As weak as MSU's schedule was Iowa's was even weaker. I've thought it all season that both teams have been highly overrated all year and their bowl performances or lack of pretty much proves that they are overrated.

I'm all for that!  Just make

I've really tried to give

I've really tried to give Hoke the benefit of the doubt and not hammer him for his tenure at Michigan. I'm done going easy on him. This armchair coach, 20/20 hindsight is bullshite. Remind me, what is Hoke doing for a living these days...is he coaching football?  The chances of a Hoke coached team being in a position to win the game with 10 seconds remaining are slim and none and slim committed suicide because he couldn't watch anymore of Hoke looking clueless on the sidelines sans headset. If Hoke had any decency he would just refuse to comment when contacted to comment on the current team.

They are right where I

They are right where I thought they would be also. I thought they would end up with 8 wins. If they beat MSU or OSU that would be a great accomplishment but not expected. I know there are guys out there that saw an immediate turn around and that is fine but that is more thinking with their heart than their head.

Steel.
That loss was brutal.

Steel.

That loss was brutal. When Harbaugh was hired how many people thought they would be where they are now? I know I didn't. I knew there would be improvement but not to this level this quickly. No offense to Rudock, he is just a game manager, and Michigan had the game won until a freak last play with a seat holder at QB.  If Michigan is able to stretch the field with a QB able to connect on deep throws or even the threat of connecting on deep throws, it opens up so much more on offense.

Just stay off the news comment boards, ignore co-workers talk, this team is going nowhere but up.

Not that they are here but to the assholes sending death threats to O'Neill, I can't imagine how much your life has to suck for you to feel the need to do that.  I feel bad for your relatives, friends (as if you have any), your pets, and your co-workers.  You must be an absolute joy to be around. Scumbags.

That was horrible. It's over,

That was horrible. It's over, time to move on. Big picture, even with a seat warmer QB Michigan is much further along under Harbaugh than most of us thought they would be at this point. There was just one death in my house and that was an inanimate object and a new remote will be on the way from amazon.

This game is killing me.

I thought the same thing.

The coaching staff also actually made adjustments at the half. What a concept.

I could not stand the

I could not stand the announcers.  They kept talking about Booker being this amazing stud...how he leans on you leans on you and next thing you know he has over 100 yds rushing.  Booker this, Booker that, over and over and over.

When the onside kick goes out of bounds he says....flag on the play! Really?  Think that's because the kick went out of bounds genius?

On the play where the Utah QB was scrambling parallel to the line of scrimmage under pressure and sees a receiver wide open standing directly in front of him near the sideline and he completes the pass for a good gain, the announcer just goes crazy about how smart of a play it was.  Saying the QB knew there would be lineman downfield so he knew he would need to throw a lateral.  Please, he threw the ball to the guy that was right in front of him that was wide open that he was looking right as he ran toward the receiver.

Matter of opinion but I thought the announcers sucked out loud.

Do you know what you have to

Encouraged by the D line

Encouraged by the D line play.  They got burned on QB keepers but were strong against the run. Pass rush was about average, that should improve.

Jake Butt

Receivers especially Darboh and Chesson were getting open.

Perry made some mistakes but he is a freshman and showed major potential.

O-line pass was strong in pass pro.

Peppers showed flashes of what he can do in the second half. Seemed like he was too excited in the first half.
