That is what I take away from the years I have spent enjoying this blog. I think that Brian's writing style has continued to improve over time and of course what I love is that he had the balls to not pursue his degree choice because he knew that it would not fulfill him in the way that pursuing a passion would, and that he made something special for himself from just an idea, into one of the very best sports blogs on the internet today. Congrats and thanks.

Ace, I know exactly what you mean man, he was the voice and the essence of Saturday football. I miss him almost each fall weeken without fail, most likely always will. Another voice for me is Bob Cole, simply the voice of Saturday night growing up and grown. I wanted to give a shout out to the Red Wings and their fans, welcome back to the east, we missed you. Next years playoffs are going to be special. Go Leafs

is a great spot for Trey, providing they can keep the pick traded to Houston.

As to the CHL paying a stipend, it seems to me that the best solution is to allow CHL players to attend NCCA schools after completing three yrs of hockey with their club. How making fifty dollars a week makes you a pro is beyond reason. This way, they can play in the best development league in the world and then, at nineteen, attend a university program, on scholarship and get an education they can use. The CHL does offer to pay for this but only up to 18 months after you leave the league and not at all if you play professionally anywhere. Michigan for example, would get some outstanding players who have played big time hky, the level of which the NCAA can never offer, while entertaining its fans and giving the players a first rate education. Guess thats too simple.

I disgree with a lot of the negative attitude towards anything this company tries to do. IMO, we need a new look for the basketball and those shorts look like a huge step in the right direction. Fab Five shorts? UMM, that great look has been done, all the way from Arkansas to UCLA and back. I mean board shorts are Still popular, its been fifteen years.Twenty since the boys were doing it. Lets go with a new type of fabric and something that is the next look in line, much as the Fab Five did in their day. Adidas has done a fair job of keeping our look traditonal , MSU aside.

Um get serious fellas, he got beat like an old drum. Of course they are good wideouts, Floyd has Sunday written all over him, but that is the nature of the beast @ the BCS level. If that was Trent, you'd be flame thrower all over him. That was not an acceptable performance in the slightest. Warren on the other hand, made some nice plays and is on his way to adding to the list of outstanding corners. Bobbie will adjust and come back harder cause that is the nature of the guy, but to suggest he was anything but torched is just M-coloured glasses to the nth. Anyway, why dwell on that aspect, this is coming together and the dark days are behind us, ahead.... BCS baby!!!!!(2011)

The intensity was off the charts, the tackling for the first time in years was solid, fly to the ball type of thing and the whole team was focused. Thanks FreeP, that may have helped set the tone for what will be a consistent NC hunt, circa 2011 and beyond.
