Played him and 3 other football players in CCRB hoops once. As our 3rd biggest player (and undersized 4/5, who had great old-man-post-moves as a 22 year old) I guarded their 3rd biggest player. Not Rivas. It was an OL, 2 TEs, Rivas and a random kid. at 5'11" and 195 I did not guard Mike Massey very effectively.
Rivas seemed like a good guy though, referred to himself as a "fat kicker" when getting water after the game. He was a good kicker and obviously self depricating.
Edit: Cool story bro /self

And turning commitments into signatures is another checkpoint.

Yep. I was there. The series of plays that captures it for me:
M snap hits runner in motion, fumble, on M 25 or so, recovered by NW.
NW ends up punting.

It can be a good playcall by the offense or the defense, so +3 can mean that Harbaugh called a good play, or that Maryland ran a terrible blitz that was beaten. In most of these offesive cases, it's Harbaugh doing good.

I have them too. IE11 (work computer). Videos embedded and linked won't work via MGoBlog. Right click/new tab works though, I can view in Youtube.
Hooray antiquated in house software that requires internet explorer!
|2 days 11 hours ago||Re; Morgan/Urlacher||
I really like this comparison. Morgan is a very good "2 Down" NFL Linebacker - someone who would probably be lifted for the nickel. Urlacher was a "3 Down" guy. And a freak. 6'4", 260, ran a 4.4 ish 40, yeah. Freak. For proof look at how Mike Vick did against the Bears - Urlacher matched up with him very well.
Morgan is not that guy. With worse DL/DBs he might get exposed more. In this defense he's a great fit and very good at 95% of what he's asked to do. The 5% requires perfect execution by the opponent, including the DL not killing the QB.

Like Harbaugh, I'm more of a "fill the glass up all the way" kind of guy.
|2 days 12 hours ago||Tebowwwwwwwww||
While I don't disagree and am as HARBAUGH hyped as anyone, the media tends to have a certain saturation point. Typically "X" is the absolute best thing ever, there will be huge stories about X, the media becomes oversaturated with "X" and a backlash starts.
The most recent thing I can think of in sports is Tim Tebow. By all accounts Tim's a good guy, was a pretty good college QB (although he won the Heisman thanks to Dixon's injury in 2007) and in no way, shape, or form should have been an NFL QB. The Broncos won in spite of Tebow, not because of him. But HOT DAMN did the media jump all over this white christian dude. To the point of backlash and over exposure.
If you weren't a Michigan fan the saturation point is approaching if not here already.
As a Michigan fan... HARBAUGH!

In this case I assume that "Big" is describing the "Boom" as opposed to "Big Blue".
But maybe that's me reading what I want to be reading.

The body continues burning calories after workouts are complete, if you were to drink straight protien your body will convert some of that to energy. The carbs (sugar) and fat in chocolate milk will provide some of that post-workout energy allowing the body to keep the protein for muscles rather than energy.

Consenting to sex and consenting to the filming of a sexual act are - by this exact legal definition - two separate things.

It's not like 'Zona won the Pac 12 south last year, or has their best player hurt, or like we've got one of the best defenses in the country and a great coach...

However at 6:30 PM tomorrow I'll be buried under blankets and nevously panicking as the Blackhawks raise a banner (YUUUUUUUUUUUP) and the Cubs play in a one-game-try-to-kill-me-at-least-they-get-the-one-game-three-years-ago-they-could-have-won-97-games-and-missed-the-playoffs-baseball-is-stupid game.

I'm sure this is in the Wikipedia article, but it might have been "obsolete" by 1905, at least until the Bears used it to drop 732 points in the 1940 NFL championship game...

The All 22/schematic pictures work really well with the screenshots to tell what happened on the play. These would be a great feature to continue and I'd love to see lots more of these (what happened on Smith's beast-run?)

|1 week 18 hours ago||Standard IsoPPP||
My guess is it's because Michigan has been content to take their foot off the gas and run into 10 man boxes. In the UFR Brian claimed he would have RPS minused lots of stuff that ends up as "meh" because it's 31-0 and you're working on Power no matter what the defense is doing.
Whereas when we need to have a big play (passing downs) we're better at doing it.
Just a guess

Having a charity tournament sounds great. Mudbowl did not seem like that while I was there (05-09).
I tore a ligament playing in the tournament leading up to the "big" game. It was a huge liability, lots of injuries, and in general a mess. Let's have a tournament and raise money for Mott - you don't need NFL Blitz rules to do that.

See Devin's 2012.
See the coaches criminally misusing two insane athletes...

Loved that Houma got a TD, also love that it's really a play we'll use again. Harbaugh has shown that defenses have to account for the FB dive, it wasn't a gimmick just to get Houma a TD.
