| 1 day 15 hours ago | This is the clip I wanted to post |
And didn't want to search for at work. |
| 1 day 16 hours ago | Possibly |
But really he's just a Jewish guy from the Bronx http://www.newyorker.com/talk/2011/02/07/110207ta_talk_paumgarten |
| 1 day 18 hours ago | Uhhh. He's Outstanding | |
| 2 days 12 hours ago | This was amazing |
Kudos to Heiko for sure. What strikes me is just how cerebral Borges seems. I couldn't have told you that the OSU game and the Iowa game had the same gameplan. I was at the Iowa game. It was awesome [Aside, Borges called them "Ohio State". Alert Brady] His philosophy reminds me a lot of Greg Maddux, in that he uses one play to set up the next one. Maddux would do this with pitches better than anyone. Sure, we hated seeing Vincent Smith get 0 yards up the middle out of the I, but if we ran the throwback screen every time out of the I it would never have worked (it always worked! at least in part because we occasionally ran him up the middle). This was an absolutely great interview Heiko. I learned a lot and really like the way that Borges thinks. |
| 2 days 13 hours ago | You could do 2 games |
Or 2 groups w/line changes. If you don't want to see Vince Wilfork playing 7-on-7... I don't know what's wrong with tyou. I'd imagine it goes like this: Pick teams the same way, 3 at each position or whatever. 1st drive: NFC Skill O vs. AFC Skill D 2nd drive: NFC Skill D vs. AFC Skill O 3rd drive: NFC Linemen O vs. AFC Linemen D 4th drive: NCF Line D vs. AFC Line O And rotate. Skill and linemen can play both ways (so there are subs) and it's 7 on 7. Why wouldn't that be amazing! |
| 2 days 14 hours ago | But seriously |
Have a flag game. 7-on-7. With rotating groups. Skill and Linemen. Like you wouldn't watch ultra-competitive linemen playing 7 on 7 flag football? it'd be more entertaining than making them all fake block. |
| 2 days 16 hours ago | Combine 4.59 |
http://nflcombineresults.com/playerpage.php?i=4756 Would have been 5th best LB at the 2013 combine. And Urlacher did that at 257lbs, the 4 guys that would have beat him in 2013 are all 230-240lbs. 4.4 may be an embellishment. Freak is not. |
| 2 days 16 hours ago | He's gotta update that uniform |
The Split Ms are a no-go |
| 2 days 16 hours ago | Defined a dominant defense |
The Bears could play their Tampa 2 the way they did because of Urlacher's coverage ability. Sure, he lost a step recently, but that deep MLB drop was something that few, if any, other LBs can do as well. My best Urlacher memory is from the NFC Title game in 2006. The Saints came into a cold Soldier Field and there was a play where reggie bush lined up in the backfield and split out wide. The announcer just about had a wet dream when Urlacher followed him out there saying "there's a LB on Bush!!! Drew Brees is gonna look that way!" Brees did. Urlacher had man coverage on Bush and Brees ended up having to throw it away. how many MLBs could have split out to cover 2006 pre-injury reggie bush? In terms of best athletes at the position, see my note below. He returned kicks in college. |
| 2 days 16 hours ago | Even better |
he had five KICK RETURN TDs in college! Guy was an absolute freak. A true 6'4" 260# 4.4 40 guy. |

| 4 days 13 hours ago | ACL Surgery has come a long way |
My knees have stayed clean, but my dad has had 2 ACL tears in each leg, his scars from the 1970s ACL repairs are massive in comparison. Hooray medical advancements! |
| 1 week 13 hours ago | Love the movie |
If you're not a big Kevin Smith fan it probably sucks as the whole movie is an inside joke and reference to all the other Kevin Smith movies. But Will Ferrel makes me lose it every time. I always forget that he's in the movie. |

it's closer than it seems.... |
| 1 week 1 day ago | Agreed |
I listen to my local ESPN Radio guys on the way home (Waddle & Silvy) but I can't stand Mike & Mike. Or most national non-live-sport-coverage on ESPN these days. |

It's a stage name. Her given/family last name is Levine. |
| 1 week 3 days ago | Semantics? |
How about saying that Gallon had the best season since Braylon? |
| 1 week 3 days ago | True |
But remember, this guy is one of if not the best athletes at what he does: As is this guy: there can be a whole lot of muscle without much definition. |
| 1 week 4 days ago | Mike Jones Graduated |
He has his degree and 1 more year of eligibility, he's leaving as a grad student transfer who can play immediately. |
| 1 week 4 days ago | I'm not sure if he's graduating |
But that's what Stephen Hopkins did. I know my Michigan degree has done me a few favors, I hope that both guys who leave the football team leave with a degree too. |
| 2 weeks 13 hours ago | See, this is how you know I'm an engineer |
I read your post and thought of this: |
| 2 weeks 17 hours ago | No huge plans |
Watching Bulls tonight, then a bar a couple blocks away for a friend's birthday. 16" Softball tomorrow and a mother's day thing for my mom Sunday afternoon. Quality low-key weekend planned. |
| 2 weeks 2 days ago | Returning Kicks |
Don't get me wrong, I love me some Denard, but I doubt he'll be a primary kick returner to start the year. As far as I remember, Denard participated in 1 KR during college (he was on the field and didn't touch the ball) and the Jags also drafted SC (NTSC)'s Ace Sanders in the 2nd round, who was a punt returner in college, and a pretty good one. I don't doubt that the Jags might put both Ace and Denard back for kicks, but he's not going to be given the job by any means. |
