It's doable there but the rink glass that is in Yost is not meant to be taken down for events. The glass at multi purpose facilities is different as they are set up to be taken down and put up all the time. If you notice most of those type of facilities do not have the metal stantions between each pane of glass.
Basically to make it happen they would have to rent a floor to put over the ice and then buy/rent something to store the glass with and then have to unbolt all the metal stantions.
As for the refridgeration of the ice, the ice is frozen from under the ice in the floor so there won't be a problem keeping the ice frozen without the glass up.

To follow up in cockburn's final game at Yost he was ejected and after he skated off the ice the students started "no more Cockburn clap clap clapclapclap" chant.

The trailer is great. We passed you coming down Mainstreet last Saturday at 6am and thought the trailer was awesome. Our group who has been in the Blue Lot for many years was displaced due to the construction of Crisler so we found a new place to set up for this year. We ended up on the island just west of you this past Saturday. My engineer buddy and I admired the trailer and set up from our tailgate.
I have to agree with you about the blue lot being dead. It was a very different feeling on Saturday. The lot was still pretty empty and it was time to go into the game which amazed me.
Keep up the great tailgate seen and we might have to stop by to see how you power everything and what you did to make it all work.

I did not like the halftime show at all. I was so happy when it ended and I was embarrassed at the show the band decided to do for our B1G home game versus Nebraska. My favorite shoe of all time is the Monty Python and the holy grail halftime show from a couple years ago.

I would call the ticket office on Monday and talk to them about it. They might have ADA seats still available that you can trade in your current seat for. And if you have a friend sitting with you they normally will let one other person sit with you in the area.

there is also an app directly through Michigan - I believe it is mgoblue2go - but it is a dollar subscription for live audio for a month or $10 per year.
I don't know how good it works but thought I would let you know.

As others have said Adam Rittenberg said today on the B1G Blog on ESPN that the game time will not be announced until the Monday before the game.
So contrary to different reports the game is not at Noon yet.

Those seats are right next the zamboni entrance. The rows go up to 18 or 19 I believe. The seats have a pretty good view of the ice. I don't know what the view is like for the scoreboard though. And you are on the end that UofM shoots twice.

Actually since 2005 you paid the $10 to get on the waitlist but you needed to donate a minimum of $100 per year between November-January in order to activate your victors club points and be considered for season tickets. If you just paid the $10 wait list fee once you would not have been offered tickets.
Last September I paid the $10 to be put on the wait list and then when my donation form came in the mail in November I donated $300. I received renewable season tickets for this season and found out I would have gotten them even if I only donated $100.
Not much has changed other than moving the total from $100 to $500 and not having a confusing wait list that people think just paying $10 once means they will get tickets eventually.

I tailgated 2 years ago there and I believe we were in the planetarium parking lot. It was fine. The only suggestion is get there right when the lots open up. They don't allow people to get in line with their cars prior to the lots opening so you have to essentially drive up to the lot just as they open. Some of the better lots fill up immediately.
|2 years 22 weeks ago||When the students dance there||
When the students dance there is absolutely nothing happening on the ice at the time. The teams are still in the locker rooms and maybe the refs come on the ice while it is still going. It seems to raise the energy level in the building just before the 3rd period begins and it gets the silent part of the crowd on their feet and cheering.
So I guess I just don't understand what the big deal is.
|2 years 22 weeks ago||So what I can assume by all||
So what I can assume by all your posts is you just hate everything about the crowd interaction at Yost. And since you say "I'd like spontaneity" you probably hate the penalty chant, ugly goalie chant, we want more goals chant, how much time is left & the Victors since we do those all the time.
If I am wrong is this just a "I'm too cool to dance" thing?

We use a satellite dish. If any of your friends have Directv or Dish Network you can just bring one of their boxes and find a cheap satellite dish and stand on ebay. Point it in the right direction and you are good to go. The power source is the hardest part. You can run off your car battery but I wouldn't suggest that. I would suggest either the honda generator that was pictured above or a marine battery with an inverter. In the Crisler lot we have had no problem getting a signal on our rabbit ears either.

I would imagine the course would be open. It has been nice in Ann Arbor for the past week. But there is always the possibility of the courses not drying out from last week.

So lets get this straight. You come on Brian's blog and question Brian's fandom and you are mad that he got mad about this?
He has been defending this program through the worst of times the past three years and you don't have to agree about everything he writes but you shouldn't have questioned his loyalties. If you don't like his tone or what he is writing then just read something else.
