If Connorgate has shown one…

If Connorgate has shown one thing crystal clear is that no one knows what the fuck is going on, not the insiders and definitely not randos on the internet (from either camp).  My immediate instinct is to dismiss anything anyone affiliated with OSU says about this.  On the other hand, the reactions to your post reflect all the same reactions when Connorgate broke in the OSU forums.

So until the NCAA actually does or doesn't do something I'm going to assume a very wide range of outcomes are on the table, and maybe these clowns turn out to be right, but it won't be because they have super duper secret inside information, it will just be a lucky guess.

Why did KC run it down to 6…

Why did KC run it down to 6 seconds on 1st down?  That seemed risky as fuck.

Thank you!  I think we all…

Thank you!  I think we all needed this.  Also, maybe I'm reading too much into it, but was Brian making Christian Horner references?

Quality seems better than…

Quality seems better than all the paper thin crap out there, but their sizes do run a bit small so order up a size if you are close.  I ordered the one where JJ and Corum are pointing to their ring fingers.

Not meant to be a Warde…

Not meant to be a Warde bashing post

Immediately begins bashing Warde in next sentence

Hookers + Blow = Recruits

This is going to sound crazy…

This is going to sound crazy, but NFL teams have large S&C facilities and run S&C programs just like college does.  Sure, some players have personal trainers, but not all of them and maybe not even most.  Team workouts are still a thing in the NFL as can be seen in just about every NFL documentary ever.

S&C coaches not needed in the NFL is an invention of Mgoblog posters who didn't want to believe that Herbert could be gone and now want to twist it into some indication that there is a problem with the program.

Remind me again, what is…

Remind me again, what is this alleged "fact" that everyone keeps referring to based on?  Yes, I'm sure some NFL players hire personal trainers, but all of them?  NFL teams still maintain large S&C facilities and just about every behind-the-scenes NFL documentary ever made shows team workouts.  Someone has to manage that whole apparatus right?

People here are just as full…

People here are just as full of shit as they are on the rest of the internet.  Yesterday posters were getting downvoted to oblivion because they dared to suggest that Herbert's non-answer when asked about his future might be a sign he was going somewhere else.

How many coaches did teams…

How many coaches did teams like Alabama and Georgia blow through when they were winning National Championships? Plenty.  I'd rather be in a position of watching good coaches promote out than seeing bad ones get fired.

That is a bit of revisionist…

That is a bit of revisionist history.  This place was filled with people ready to jettison Harbaugh in the fall / winter of 2020.

This board has gotten so…

This board has gotten so hypersensitive about even the suggestion that coaches or players might go elsewhere its just ridiculous.  It was a non-answer so of course it makes sense to speculate one way or the other.

He's been our official HC…

He's been our official HC less than 24hrs and is already 1-0 vs OSU.  Not bad!

He was never going to stay,…

He was never going to stay, no matter what.  It was just a matter of when and to what NFL team he'd wind up at.  Michigan could have had Mother Teresa as AD and Jim still would have been shopping around.

I'm starting to think its JUB that has the real problem with Warde, probably because like some other people, he convinced himself that the NFL wasn't Jim's real ambition, but somehow mean ol' Warde forced him into it.

If Harbaugh wanted to be at…

If Harbaugh wanted to be at Michigan that's where he'd be.  That's not what he wanted so in reality there was nothing Michigan could offer that would have made a damn bit of difference.

I just hope they are willing…

I just hope they are willing to pay the big bucks for good assistants.  If there's one lesson from JH's turn around post 2020 is the absolute necessity of getting top shelf coordinators.

Why would he want to go…

Why would he want to go somewhere named after a whale's vagina?

It's bad for recruiting, bad…

It's bad for recruiting, bad for the portal and bad for having to hire staff in the event he leaves.  The longer he drags this out it is most definitely worse for the university.

I don't get all the…

I don't get all the hypersensitivity here with regards to posts about the coaches.

Definitely squats, uses left…

Definitely squats, uses left hand with sandpaper gently softened with the tears of Tony Petitti.

I've always wondered how…

I've always wondered how much buyouts really matter for coaches like Harbaugh.  Is an NFL team really going to pass him over if his buyout is 4 million instead of 1.5?

How else would you…

How else would you characterize asking for immunity?  If this article is to be believed, he is asking that the university not be able to terminate him for any reason stemming from the NCAA investigations.

If there is any legitimacy…

If there is any legitimacy to this article, there's not much point in reading beyond "immunity from termination" because that isn't going to happen. Besides being completely unprecended it's also fucking crazy.  The university isn't going to write him that kind of blank check because they don't know what is coming from the NCAA.  All of this reads like a delay tactic that lets Jim have his dalliance with the NFL while keeping Michigan as his side piece in case things don't work out.

I'm good with that, but if he winds up staying there is virtually no chance the university gives him a blanket get out jail free card.

If Harbaugh leaves I'd say…

If Harbaugh leaves I'd say roll with Davis or Orji.  If he says there is still a chance we can compete for another title, then we go shopping for someone who can help us out for a year or whatever.

Unless you have the rare HC …

Unless you have the rare HC (Saban, Smart, Swinney, etc) who wants to stay in college, having success like Michigan has over the last three years will almost always result in major coaching shake-ups.  That's why having championship "dynasties" in college football is so hard for teams that can't keep head coaches.

I hope this time is it one…

I hope this time is it one way or the other.  This yearly dalliance with the NFL is exhausting as a fan and damaging to recruiting.  I love JH and I hope to hell he stays, but man lets just rip the bandaid off already.

This guy is so fucking…

This guy is so fucking awkward and I love it.

You can tell it's been 26 years since they had to do this 🤣

Easy.  When that OSU player…

Easy.  When that OSU player ripped Wilson's helmet off in the 21' game and nearly got ripped to pieces by the O-line.  That's when I knew this program was headed in the right direction.  There was a fight there that had been missing for a long time.

I don't understand some MSU…

I don't understand some MSU fans obsession with this.  I grew up in west MI and there were plenty of MSU fans around who didn't go to the school.

Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, etc have a bigger proportion of non-alumni fans because they are big brand teams that are more closely associated with the states they represent.

Hopefully someone posts a…

Hopefully someone posts a video of this!

Any coach that takes the…

Any coach that takes the Washington Huskies to a National Championship is going to get looks and rightfully so.

I think OSU and Alabama are…

I think OSU and Alabama are as close as makes no difference in that regard.

If you'd have told me in…

If you'd have told me in January of 2021 that in 3 short years we'd have beaten OSU 3 times, won the B1G three times and beat Alabama in the Rose Bowl I'd have said you probably have brain damage or something.

If we can run the ball and…

If we can run the ball and get long, sustained drives that drain the clock, I think we win.  We aren't going to be able to completely shut down throw god Penix, so the best way to beat him is to keep the ball out of his hands as much as possible.  I think this will be a much closer game than many here seem to believe.  I'm going with 32-30 Michigan, but to me, this game is a toss-up, much like the Rose Bowl.

Joined Mgoblog in the…

Joined Mgoblog in the bottomless pit of 2008 and uh yea, seeing a football NC preview is really something.

The only conference that…

The only conference that cheers for itself is the SEC and that's because they are still big mad about the Civil War down there.  I think it's fucking gross to cheer for conference rivals, but that's just me.

1. Pork belly burnt ends…

1. Pork belly burnt ends from Mgoblog.  I highly suggest you try it.

2. This game smells like TCU part deux.  I just hope the fan / public overconfidence doesn't infect the team and coaches like it clearly did in the Fiesta bowl.  I think they will try some cute stuff that will backfire possibly putting us in a hole early.  Minter will have some good adjustments,  Corum will have his best game since 2022.  I think this, much like the Rose Bowl will be a toss up that will hinge on a few huge plays.  38-35 Michigan.

3. From my couch with a cardiologist on speed dial.

Doesn't sound very safe for…

Doesn't sound very safe for the players.

I wish the players wouldn't…

I wish the players wouldn't feed into this bullshit.  The media is just looking for clicks and JJ just gave them a month's worth.

I'm predicting a highly…

I'm predicting a highly frustrating amount of 1yd runs into stacked boxes.

Also a pair of WR screens that will get blown up because they haven't worked once in the history of Michigan football but they like to try it anyways.

Having to play your 3rd…

Having to play your 3rd string freshman QB against a pretty solid SEC team was always going to be a recipe for disaster.  Forcing Kyle out before the bowl game was pretty fucking stupid.

I hope JH and Moore use JJ…

I hope JH and Moore use JJ as aggressively as Missouri is using Cook.  It really opens things up.

Holy shit what a pass and…

Holy shit what a pass and catch!
