As a current Atlanta resident, I agree for selfish reasons. UGA would be a great addition to the schedule when Notre Dame rotates off at the end of the decade.

The Rector and Vice Rector talked to their fellow board members individually, and once they had the votes to force Sullivan out, the Rector asked for Sullivan's resignation.
You can bet that if the ACC starts to fall apart, there will be a lot of pressure on the Hokies to return the favor and save some room in the life boat for UVa.
I could see NMSU landing in the Sunbelt, but Idaho is hosed. The Vandals may try to hang on as an independent for a few years, but I think they will be forced to drop down to FCS eventually.
The other day Gerd over at O-Zone said 97% of those who believe Dymonte Thomas will be a buckeye wear tin-foil fedoras. There are a few rational OSU fans out there who realize that flipping D. Thomas is a pipe dream.
I don't think it's irrational at all. One extreme example is Memphis's 2005 football season. All three scholarship QB's suffered a broken leg (two of them in the same game!) by mid-October of that season. They moved a WR to QB and snuck into some low level bowl game if I recall correctly.
Bacon was offered access to the team based in part on his reputation as a journalist and author. A muckracking tabloid writer would not have been given the same opportunity.
Except Yost was the AD in '34, not the coach. I believe many of the teams struggles were related to the decision not to play Willis Ward, our lone African American player at the time, in the Georgia Tech game. That decision caused a lot of turmoil in the locker room and on campus.
Disagree, I can't see the coaches turning away Banner or Garnett. I think we'll take 28 in this class, with the final 6 spots going to 2 OL, 2 WRs, 1 RB, 1 DB.

I grew up in Memphis and watch the Tigers quite a bit. Memphis has been horrendous over the past two seasons, even by Memphis standards.
