I'd love to see a candidate for a solid 3rd RB emerge. Not only for this year, but to prepare for next when we lose Higdon. Samuels and for the love of god, get it together Kareem Walker. I love the way he runs.
It was a disappointment in our eyes, but the consensus prediction from almost everyone before the 2017 season was...8-4. They finished right where everyone thought they would.
2015- Overachieved
2016- Top 10 finish
2017- Finished where predicted
I’ve coached high school varsity for 15 years, so I’ve watched my share of video. In my opinion, the center position was the weak spot. Yes, RT was very underwhelming. But going back to watch the season, our center made numerous wrong line checks, rarely picked up a stunt and was stuck at the line of scrimmage on running plays. I recall Price (osu) and Allen (MSU) getting to the next level and taking on LBs and pulling to the edge. I don’t remember Kugler ever doing that. There’s a reason why 13 seconds after the season was over, he became a grad assistant and gave no attempt at the pros.
Sounds like Ruiz is a major upgrade and football is built from the inside out.
Most college offenses are simple now days. Coaches call a play, QB looks to the side line, they tell him where to hand it off or where to throw it. Most exciting plays are made on broken scrambles by guys like Baker Mayfield. Harbaugh seems like he’s trying to make the QB’s make the calls at the line, as they would at the next level. This is probably why we have a lack of talented QB’s in the NFL.
I coached against Ben this season and he passes the eye test. Competition wasn’t top notch, but was a game plan wrecker. He started opening eyes at the camp tour this summer and was impressive. Good get. Think Aaron Shea type.
Any pick after 8 is usually a mediocre at best player these days. Sad to say it, but the superstars aren't coming via free agency to Detroit. Pull the trigger.
Willie was at Saginaw AH until this year where he transfered to Valor Christian with McCaffery. AH has been a dumpster fire of MSU proportions the last 10 years and his dad wanted to give him a chance to be recruited and it worked. Good for him! Really talented kid who just got caught up in the suckness of a bad team.
feels that OSU is a complete lock, then we are in good shape. That game was as much a draw as any this year. Again, money rules the day and we may be the beneficiary of this greed.
The committee will put us at four, then after next week see where the chips fall. Its easier for them to put us four and move us down, then put us five and move us up without playing.
I coached DeAnthony for a short time in high school...great kid, heck of a talent and would be a great addition to Michigan if he totally commits himself. Would be a win for us...

I have a feeling both O'Korn and Morris use the grad rule and transfer. But, looks like a hell of a squad, a championship squad.
Things are better than they seem! We are going to be alright!
