that's unfortunate, but at least the interest is there on both sides

nice breakdown, should have read your post first.
|3 hours 36 min ago||no one believed me||
when I said we'd lose to Rutgers either.
I do think we'll "beat the teams we should beat" ths year, but it's kind of a tough year (Minn, PSU, BYU, etc.) to know exactly which teams those are?
|7 hours 31 sec ago||I could post this comment in ANY Harbaugh thread||
with all the awesome Harbaugh-mania going on all over campus, I've been thinking about how lucky Michigan is to have Jim Hackett right now.
Apart from hiring Jim Harbaugh (& allowing Harbaugh the $ & flexibility to assemble the staff he has) I think the biggest plus for Jim Hackett right now is his willingness to let Harbaugh be Harbaugh.
The dude is seemingly everywhere at once, softball, baseball, ultimate frisbee, recuiting camps, interviews, etc. He's living the dream, and is obviously enjoying the hell out of himself (deservedly). He's got a big ego for sure, but backs it up with a big brain and a big heart so that although he pust himself in the spotlight 24/7, he's actually a genuine guy.
Can you, even for a second imagine Dave Brandon standing idly by not saying a word as Jim Harbaugh singlehandedly takes over Michigan athletics with an enthusiam unknown to mankind?
I don't know how calculated it is, but right now Jim Hackett's doing all the right things I'm NOT hearing about.

(see what i did there with the whole farmer thing & the extra melanin . . . ok nevermind)
My 3rd (and well-loved) vehicle was a 78' Caprice Classic. It was built to spec to be a police cruiser, but somehow the assembly line painted it black, added a plush red cloth interior & and an 8-track player.

Looked exactly like this, and had a "tweaked" 455 that you could hear a half-mile away.
a year later, I was "upgraded" to this yellow piece of crap.
1973 Vega (Kammback)
It did NOT have a 455.
It had an anemic 138 inline four that produced a whopping 72HP
This was my primary high school car, and as you can see, it was quite the lady-killer.
The Vega received praise and awards at its introduction, including 1971 Motor Trend Car of the Year. Subsequently the car became widely known for a range of problems related to its engineering, reliability, safety, propensity to rust, and engine durability. The engine in development became known in-house as "the world's tallest, smallest engine" due to the tall cylinder head. Its vibration, noise, and tendency to overheat were rectified by 1974.

I saw the original Star Wars about 17 weekends in a row in 77. But that included 3 times each Saturday & 3 times on Sunday. My mother would drop me & my best friend off at 11 am at the Showcase Cinema & come pick us up in time for supper. I looked like a vampire from the lack of sunlight.
I'm apprehensive about anything Star Wars after fucking Lucas coun't keep his fucking revisionist claws off the originals.

Will the dinosaurs actually bite people and or use their claws this time around, or will they just resort to neck-breaking again?

I was clamoring for Cuse & Pitt to be added to the Big Ten during the first rumors of recent expansion . . .
The promised "warming "to Rutgers & Maryland has so far not materialized for me.

|3 days 8 hours ago||I like Harbaugh a lot||
I think he's a very good coach, and his intense style is entertaining as a fan.
I think he was the best coach available when Michigan had an opening and I 100% think he was the correct hire. Not just beacause he can probably win at a lot at Michigan, but he'll most likely do it with the high-character that Michigan expects.
However, if I JUST wanted to win, it would be a no-brainer. Saban, and particularly Urban Meyer are the best coaches in the league and no one else is even close.
Honestly, Jim Harbaugh doesn't even belong in that conversation.

I was part of a tiny Mac-based graphic design company. Within a year I was coding websites.
What I really remember however was when our first hard drive failed in 93' (200mg I think & about 3/4 full)
The sales guy said they just got in these awesome new hard drives that were the largest size you could get . . . ONE GIGABYTE!!!
He said it was the last hard drive I'd ever need to buy.
It was full 6 months later.

|4 days 51 min ago||Not exactly a dark secret but a little pathetic.||
This last fall I broke the bank and bought a really nice 65" LED flatscreen tv for our living room to watch Michigan football.
1/2way through the opener I was back watching on my shit-little walmart 16" tv because it's next to the computer and I love the threads and liveblogs so much. (Trying to use a tablet from the couch doesn't work for me)
Watching with friends (or at least over the top/hilarious strangers) is apparently far more important to me than seeing every blade of grass on the field.

|6 days 7 hours ago||Count me as another "unconcerned' about the run game||
The Oline will be a work in progress, but baring severe injuries, should get better each week.
While none of the running backs have been world beaters yet, we've seen (on tape at least) what Issac can be capable of when he heals up, the same for Johnson. Neither of which really were able to contribute in the Spriong Game.
I know it's not a popular opinion, but I've always stated my like for Smith. He may not have the speed of the other 3 RBs (or even the vision), but he's tough, breaks tackles, moves the pile, and falls forward.
I don't really have a dog in this fight, but with 4 decent backs, someone will emerge as the starter; also it may boil down to who has the best recieving hands, or who blocks the best.
