3 days 20 hours ago	I'm no expert but from what I	I'm no expert but from what I have read when I've dabbled in the topic, the TV networks would just raise the price of each channel if you'd get ala carte.  I used to advocate ala carte but I'm fine with bundling, although, as I said before, I am quite confused how the provider determines which networks get bundled. For instance, I live in Maryland, right outside DC, and I get Big Ten Network on basic tier FiOS. However, FSC, WGN, NFL Network, and NHL Network are not on basic tier.

3 days 20 hours ago	Yes.  Speaking of which, FiOS	Yes.  Speaking of which, FiOS already includes BTN on my system in Maryland, at no extra charge. You'll have to pay extra for Fox Soccer, NFL Network, and NHL Network, but enjoy BTN on basic tier.  I don't know how it works, and I'm not complaining, BTN has some good stuff. :)

5 days 2 hours ago	The NBA hasn't been the same	The NBA hasn't been the same since. The last time I loved the NBA was 2004. Slowly got worse from there.  No surprise the decline of Detroit Basketball also coincided with my decreased interest in the league. Everything's a foul now. You can't play Bad Boy defense anymore. Stern changed the rules a few years back.

Deeeeeeeetroit Basketball™ They played a brand of defense that has rarely been seen since. Today's NBA is too ticky-tack. Anything's a foul. Back then you played and played hard. And those Bad Boys didn't let nothing go. Elbows, physical, that was good basketball, I don't care what those outside Detroit say.  They were hated outside Detroit, but loved in the city. They were great and I look forward to watching

Couldn't watch the ending of that game, had to wake up at 4:30 AM to find out who won.  Little surprised Detroit pulled it off, and I kind of feel sorry for Bruce, because Bruce is a good coach. Just ran into a Detroit team playing well at the right time.  Good luck against Blackhawks.

Plus, his last days with the Lakers were plagued with health problems and his first sweep he'd ever suffered (to Dallas)  I don't know if he'd help as a coach. I read the other day the Pistons were looking at a Spurs assistant. Sure, they've hired assistants before, and retreads, but I think they should hire another assistant and give him a chance.  Pistons have fallen a long way from that team I grew up watching though, with Chauncey and Rip and Tay and Sheed. Those were the good days.  DEEEEEEEEE-TROIT BASKETBALL (TM)

3 weeks 6 days ago	Shorter regular season was	Shorter regular season was good although it did provide less leniency. If you fell in too big a hole, you were done. Teams like Toronto and New York Islanders managed to make the playoffs for the first time in approximately a decade, which is good.
