Using Jay Paterno as the source to proclaim Joe Paterno's innocence is like taking Bernie Madoff's son saying Bernie's actions were "overblown" at face value.

And the 49ers fans are imploding. Literally one guy went home "sick" after the annoucement.

is a class act. Gets a bad rap from 20% of the fan base because he coaches in the SEC and isn't a country club kind of guy.

|6 weeks 4 days ago||I love you Brian but||
I love you Brian but seriously? As Jalen Rose said, "The people that don't want Miles are the reason we're here today".
"Miles's success at LSU is not likely to translate to Michigan; it's built off of insane local talent that makes his defenses crazy good every year without a whole lot of Narduzzi-style scheming. His offenses have mostly been poop, and he's won an inordinate number of games with crazy Mad Hatter stuff. His clock management is atrocious; his "roster management" is worse. The way he wins at LSU is by ignoring their copious bagmen—goodbye, Jai Eugene—and tapping a local talent base that almost any coach could."
This is the kind of attitude that got us Hoke. A guy whose won a national title and 75% of his games in the hardest conference in college football is all luck basically?? That would discredit Pete Carroll at USC, Nick Saban at Alabama, Urban Meyer at Florida and Jumbo Fisher at Florida State. This is why the majority of the country thinks Michigan has no idea what it's doing. Who after Harbaugh that is realistic has the pedigree of Les Miles? The only person that comes close is David Shaw. No thank you to unproven cordinators or second tier candidates if Miles is on the table.
Like I said, I love you but this line of thought doesn't make any sense.

Les is a great coach!
|6 weeks 4 days ago||This||
is what happens (when people for reasons mind blowing to the rest of country) due to some hesitation of Les Miles. Incredible we don't just wrap up Miles if Harbaugh doesn't come.

You don't want a coach who runs a dominant power in the toughest conference the past decade and has won a national title? LSU, trending downward? Have you actaully watched a LSU game this year? Does not have a great offense? Do you know who Odell Beckham is? How about all their NFL draft picks on the offensive side of the ball? LSU has had more QBs drafted in the past few years than Michigan. Also, the majority of their skill position players are basically Freshmen and Sophomores and they took the clear #1 team in the country to overtime a few weeks ago.
This line of thinking is beyond obnoxious and ridiculous for a program that can't beat Maryland, and barely pulling out games against MAC Teams. Unreal. Everyone in the country thinks Miles is our best choice after Jim but yet we are knocking Miles for recruiting states next door to where his school is.

This is for all the "Spread Offense is terrible, RR can't coach, We have to have man ball, we have to have to run a 4-3 defense, John Navarre types are better than Dennard types" sprouting haters

Has gotten so out of control we now are debating gender studies topics on a football blog on a post about a head coach and offensive cordinators.

RR's full record at Arizona is 23 - 11 at Arizona and Stoops' last three years was 16-16 and would've been a lot worse had he not gotten fired half way through the season. The Pac-12 is also much more difficult now than the three years Stoops was there, and Rodriguez had to clean up the Stoops mess by having to start 5 walk-ons his first couple years.
|12 weeks 6 days ago||Interesting||
thought. I think he might actually be a good fit at the collegiate level. Similar to Carroll, defensive minded players coach who could be a very good recruiter and put a solid staff together.

I was also confused at this board's and the fan base's praise of Hoke when he was winning with RRod's players. Hoke's success was similar to when Charlie W won 10+ his first season at ND. I posted these views and was down voted considerably at the time. Hoke NEVER had a winning record prior to getting to Michigan and his best record was 9-4 at San Diego State, a team with the best recruiting base of the mid-majors on the west coast. Hoke had no track record of being an elite coach. Not even sure why he was considered.
|15 weeks 4 days ago||Hmmmmm||
The same folks that are still saying RRod was the problem and did not deserve another year when he was at Michigan are the same people whose opinions contributeed to us having a coach like Hoke and this current circus.

If this is seirous or not. Because if serious, this is absurd, but the tone seems serious so I'm as confused as an athesist's first day of college at Notre Dame's freshmen orientation.

David Shaw or Dan Mullen please.
Shaw - I know he gets critiqued for his Lloyd Carrness, but he has far less talent than Carr ever had. Yes, Stanford is recruiting well now but most of the team is 3 star guys and their defense is flat out nasty and has been in each of the seasons he's been there.
Mullen - Very good defenses and modern spread option offense. He gets critiqued for not winning the big games but the gap in talent between Mississippi State and the traditional SEC powers is huge. He's also from Pennsylvania so would be able to recruit the region well.
Not high on anyone else. Gundy's teams never play defense. Absolutely he ll no on Tood Graham.

After they hired Hoke. I knew this was going to be a train wreck and have protested ever since. Waiting on Sumlin, Miles or Wheatley to take the reigns.

If Cowboys have a bad season, Harbaugh is going to the Cowboys. I'm a Cowboys fan and Jerry Jones will outbid Dave Brandon with his eyes closed.
|20 weeks 8 hours ago||Ok||
Not surprising, Gordon you were one of the main "Hoke is almight" early on!

All the people defending Hoke are the same people who were calling for RRod's head when he clearly should've been given another year. Absolutely absurd Hoke is our HC, everyone around the country thinks it's a joke we got rid of RR for Hoke. Our best bet is pay some absurd amount for Sumlin or Miles.
|20 weeks 16 hours ago||Sumlin Please||
Line up a brinks truck worth of money in College Station ($10mill / year) and Sumlin will be here in no time.
|20 weeks 17 hours ago||-||
We should've given RRod more time.
|20 weeks 18 hours ago||RichRod||
We should've never fired him. Look at Arizona. Beat Oregon last year.
|1 year 3 weeks ago||RRod||
Should have never been let go after 3 years with all the Carr holdovers. Should have had at least one more year probably two and we should have payed Casteel. RRod would destroy UM right now. There's a reason why Albama wanted RRod over Saban a while back. Zona is a year away from being an elite team.
