|6 weeks 1 day ago||Well I got my 3rd pr of the||
Well I got my 3rd pr of the year, (turning 45 this year and have been running for 7 years) in three different distances (15k, 25k, 12k trail run). Looking for 1 or 2 more (5k and half marathon). Love the Hanson's training plan. Doing my tough workouts early (5:45 am) to beat the heat. Tempo run tomorrow!
Lost my 100 pounds 7 years ago (75 before running, 25 after). One of the lucky ones that I've kept it off.
Kudos to all of you out there fighting the good fight. Be a Jackhammer and attack each workout with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind! (Thanks Coach for the great words of motivation, it gets me going!)

Simple for me, I am suspending the NFL for the first 4 weeks. It won't have any affect, but it satisfies my sense of justice.

You are correct!
|20 weeks 6 days ago||Purdue's is harder per the FPI of each team on the schedule...||
What astounding is that they have Michigan as 11th, OSU as 17th, MSU as 34th and Iowa as 38th. If they are right, and my cotton pickin' maize and blue heart hopes they are, then Michigan wins in a veritable cakewalk. I think the assumptions of this model are flawed, or this is the exact example of a way to early prediction.
|29 weeks 2 days ago||Bad Play by Play announcer||
In this list sadly I have to include Jim Brandstatter. I enjoy his color work, but as a play by play guy he always seem quite slow compared to the play. A pass will be completed and suddenly the guy is 25 yards down field... there is no way unless cheat mode is on that it happened the way he describes it.
I really have a hard time listening to Michigan Football on the radio anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love Brandy, his stories are great, and he and Dierdorff are two of the best reps for U of M football we could have, but really I just can't stand his play by play.

Not sure they ever did Temptation though...
|33 weeks 12 hours ago||Brady as Coach||
Much like other superior players in other sports (Jordan, Ted Williams, Magic Johnson) I think he would have to hard or a time relating to lesser players. I think he will move on, retire and do something else entirely.
|37 weeks 1 day ago||That bowl game...||
I was part of the crowd of 10,000 that watched the basketball team take on the mighty Coppin State Team that night and then watched the bowl game in the stands. That was a night to remember, with anger and swearing...
Best part, being surrounded by true believers... worst part.. no beer...
I even sent off a tersly worded message to the head of the Sun Belt Conference (the conference I believe that those "officials" came from.)

1. Wish we had beat MSU,
2. Wish OSU had beat MSU
3. Wish every team on MSU's schedule had beat MSU
But at least it's fun to remind the Staee fans that in their "best season evah" they sold out 2 games, Oregon and CMU. That is their disrespekt right there...

Or perhaps a Saugatuk Neopolitan Milk Stout (if I misspelled I'm sorry, brain shutting down in stages!)
|40 weeks 17 hours ago||This made my day||
Wins... losses... they are important. That's why the team plays the games and we cheer with all our might. But, it's this that makes us Michigan and this is why the college game is more emotionally satifsfying than the pro game..
A coach coming out on a Tuesday evening in the middle of preparing for his first OSU game as a coach. A coach coming out with his Dad and speaking of his love for Bo Schembechler. Paying homage to these great michigan men.
A 5th year senior quarterback, in his first year at Michigan coming out after hearing about this, to join the walk, and then being privately walked through to understand the meaning.
In 25 years we will look back at this time and remember that we were fans, students and/or alumni, when Jim Harbaugh came back to Michigan and continued the tradition of Bo Schembechler.
I will be able to look back as a man of nearly 70, (hopefully) and be able to say I witnessed the greatness of Bo as a young man and as a student and then the greatness of Harbaugh as alumnus and I consider myself lucky to be able to sit back and enjoy this era of Michigan football.
I can't predict the future but I know that for the next however many years my pride in being a Michigan fan will never wane.
Go blue and attack the day with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind!
|40 weeks 2 days ago||Sad news...||
As a father I can't imagine. As a Michigan man, the dulcet strains of the alma mater go through my head...
"Sing to the colors that float in the light, Hurrah for the yellow and blue..."
Thoughts to the Carr family on this saddest of days.
|40 weeks 5 days ago||Well....||
Either an curb-stomping of MSU, or a backbreaking last second loss for MSU, paired with a double digit targeting penalties on OSU defenders in the 2nd half, as they unleash 30 minutes of unnecessary roughness on Connor Cook and his replacements. The win causes the QB core of OSU to go out driving and drinking in which they are stopped by a police officer with a secret allegiance to U of M, who arrests them all, leading to a 1 game suspension.
A boy can dream can't he?
|41 weeks 6 days ago||Thank God....||
They must have gotten their fill of Fallout 4 in. (Isn't every bad computer thing blamed on that for the next week or 2?)

...just win the damn game? Is what I think you meant...

I would rather not do what you ask not related to raising the points. I just don't know you...
|45 weeks 1 day ago||Please move along now...||
Sparty gonna Spart. It doesn't matter what happens, they could win their next 50 games, be crowned national champions 4 times... and they would still be this.. let's not feed it any more.. no more clicks, no more posts. We move on.
Steel in our spine.
|45 weeks 1 day ago||Late, but look at this video|
|45 weeks 2 days ago||You sir are correct||
That would be the best answer. No celebrating, just walk off the field.
|45 weeks 3 days ago||It may be how Seahawks' fans felt||
but probably only the Seahawks' fans in Boston come close to this feeling. Even then I don't think Patriot fans are 1/10 the idiots of many of the MSU fans.
|45 weeks 5 days ago||How can we recover||
How can we ever recover from the stain on our honor. Ooo.. great Spartan Warriors, you have struck a horrible wound upon us. O, how shall we ever recover. Cancel the game, for we haven't the fortitude to move on.
Thermopylae, Artemisium, Salamis, the conquering of the Wolverine Statue. All great victories for the Spartan Army. Hopefully you raise a statue and have a great poem created.. An Ode to Green and White Paint on a meaningless statue on North Campus.

But this reply from Ivey Wingo to a rather over the top rant from Stoops21 wins! (How many times should that reply apply across all the boards (take 5-7 days off from the internet))

All you can eat pizza like on Tuesday's... oh yeah!
Belgian Waffle's Bursley Cafeteria. Those machines were like 50 years old in the 90's, but they were the bomb. Nothing better than make your own waffles the size of plates!
|1 year 16 weeks ago||Wood TV Grand Rapids||
I found it interesting when Channel 8, whose Sports Director is Jack Doles spent almost 1 minute of the sportscast on it during the 6 o'clock news. Of course of interest is that Tommy Doles is a Northwestern Football Player... hmmmm.. I certainly hope that Mr. Doles spends as much time on other schools secondary violations. Hell didn't OSU have like 24 self reported in 2014.. OMG.. burn it with fire.
|1 year 26 weeks ago||Thank you Leonard||
I was lucky enough to see him at a convention in Dearborn. Later that day he performed the world premier of Spock vs. Q with John deLancie. What a great memory. It's awfully dusty in this room at the moment.
