My Redskins are a tire fire right now. If he can change that I am all for it, however, does he really want to deal with Snyder?

Then compare that to the average student in school who will likely leave with a mountain of debt, have had none of the perks athlete's get, yet are still having money made off of them by the university.
For some reason though, we should all feel sorry for full ride scholarship athletes....

2011 rushing yards 5.2 average per carry , 2012 4.8 average per carry, 2013 3.2 average per carry
2011 53 TD's, 2012 47 TD's, 2013 47 TD's
From year 1 to year 3 under Borges the QB rating did improve but that was only after he cratered it in year one. Same went for passing yards for the QB's. This years QB completion percentage was the highest for a Borges QB at Michigan but they have all been lower than in 2010.
There has been no turnaround at all under Borges. It is either worse or about the same in every category that I see since he's been at Michigan. The only categories that have improved much are the ones that tanked when he took over.
At worst Michigan is heading downhill and at best Michigan's offense is stagnant. The only turnaround Borges could be associated with at this point is regressing from 2010's offense.

Absolutely! I agree that he completely turned things around.
Michigan went from a team that averaged 5.6 yards per carry in 2010. To a team that averaged 3.2 yards per carry in 2013.
Under his incredible mentorship as a QB coach he was able to reduce the QB's completion percentage from 63.1 percent to 59.7 percent.
Three years ago Michigan QB's threw for 3252 yards, after three years of Al Borges transformation? 3025 yards in 2013.
In 2010 Michigan scored 58 offensive TD's. With Al Borges in year three? 47 TDs.
2010 starting QB rating 149.6 2013 starting QB rating 146.1
It only took Al Borges three short years to accomplish this offensive turnaround. The future is looking bright unless some nefarious team like Alabama swoops in and poaches this offensive guru.

You forgot Al Borges. He has to be on some high profile short lists given his offensive genius and all. Probably the number one replacement for Alabama if the job comes open.

Why would Saban ever leave Alabama? Do they allow oversigning in the Big 12?

I'd rather see Michigan play against a team that matters. Beating Georgia would matter, beating KSU will not. If the BWW had Oregon, Oklahoma, or some other school that is a sexy match-up then I would be all for the BWW. You go ahead and get excited about that KSU match up any way you can.

May as well give it up. You are talking to people who have been told their entire lives they are victims of something. You could hit them with a pillow and they'd call the police for assault. Just that kind of people.

Who cares? It's a match up of 7-5 teams after a dreaful year for Michigan. Does winning the BWW bowl make the season a success? No. Does losing make it even worse? Yes. There is very little upside to this bowl game. However, had Michigan been playing in the Gator bowl against Georgia, winning that game would have at least been against a good team from the SEC. On top of that it would have been on New Years Day when people tune in to watch football, rather than at 10:30 at night on a day few people watch football, against a team no one cares about.

This seems like the perfect bowl for 7-5 Michigan. A bowl no one cares about, against a team no one cares about, on a day no one cares about. Thank you Al Borges.

Matter of time until the football playoff is at sixteen teams if not more and at that point there will be a lot less pressure than there is today. At the beginning of this though with only four teams there will be more pressure.

Dear Al Borges,
You did a great job this year in helping the players exude toughness. Your carefully crafted gameplans that called for numerous hits in the backfield by large ill tempered defensive linemen certainly did wonders in improving the players ability to take hits.
Unfortunately, the game of college football requires more than toughness. It requires the ability to move the ball forward by various means with the ulimtate goal of scoring a touchdown. This is where your gameplanning needs improvement. While I can appreciate the determination that is required to send your men into the teeth of a defense twenty seven times for twenty seven yards, I have to question the effectiveness in relation to the game of football. The fact that you continued using this gameplan for a large portion of the season makes me wonder if you fully understand the objective of the game.
All is not lost though Al, you have an excellent future ahead of you in Australian rules football. A sport where your skill set can make quite an impact. A team like the Adelaide Crows would be lucky to have you Al. We look forward to seeing you flourish in the AFL.
