Hoke was top notch at this aspect of his job.

Let's put it this way, he fills a spot in the class after Shane Morris, where we should have taken a qb anyways. Regardless of offense, he has shown more than someone who hasn't played, so it's worth taking the chance on him if you ask me.

Although, I'm sure nice indoor facilities would be nice in the summer/fall camps given how hot and/or humid it is there.

Is this because of his transferring or injuries?
|13 weeks 4 days ago||Hayes is currently Committed||
Hayes is currently Committed to USC and I remember reading that he wants to get out of the Midwest. We'll see if Harbaugh can change his mind...
|13 weeks 6 days ago||I think it is different if||
I think it is different if the local Rutgers "picks sides" with him versus our hiring of him since we only take a couple players from that region in a given year.

Any insight into why Eason is a Georgia commit? Isn't he from Washington? It seems strange to commit there so early in the process - especially with some of the major pro style schools on the west coast.

As a recruit, Your essentially betting on harbaugh being able to develop quarterbacks as he has before. If harbaugh is able to make Shane Morris succeed, Michigan instantly becomes top 3 spot for pro style QB and I doubt the QB spot lasts for very long.

I assume you are joking here because there is a total lack of logic in your comments.

Thanks! Not sure how I missed this and why we turned him down...but I think that is great news!

It's pretty common for kids to do that on their own. Not to bring up old recruits but Rosen played a huge rule in getting Clark to ucla.

People keep saying the weekday thing...but it's an opener so why would that matter? Just starting our season a couple days early.
|14 weeks 13 hours ago||I'm fine with us being the||
I'm fine with us being the underdog but just because we lost at home last year doesn't mean we can't win this year...we have an entirely different coaching staff and they lost huge parts of their staff. Furthermore, college teams aren't static from year to year roster wise either.

Is Utah typically considered to be a tough environment, relative to big 10? Also, the day of the week doesn't really matter because it's the start of the season, so if anything we get more prep the following week.

Each rendition uses different methods and honestly when you get to a certain point I don't think it matters. With some rankings, we have climbed and with others (us news) we have dropped.

I don't think he graduates until may/june so I don't think he could.
|14 weeks 21 hours ago||While I agree that his son||
While I agree that his son wouldn't have gotten the job without being a harbaugh, qc positions for competent nfl franchises aren't a useless position. Hell jerry Montgomery just left the DC position at Oklahoma for a quality control position with the packers.
|14 weeks 23 hours ago||We are taking one grad||
We are taking one grad transfer this year and another conventional transfer this year too. I have no problem with it. The fact is all of the coaches whining about it would take a job there too. Also, that is pretty much life... There are stepping stones are in every field). Also there are so few D2 guys who can actually make the jump every year it's not really a big issue. Furthermore, shouldn't he be happy? Wouldn't this help his future recruiting?
|14 weeks 1 day ago||Well considering you just||
Well considering you just listed off 2 of her most premier TEs in the nfl...that's a pretty obvious statement. However, you can be very impactful at the college level without being on their level...and I would argue by that metric most TEs would not satisfy those expectations.
|14 weeks 2 days ago||This would surprise me, if||
This would surprise me, if true, thought he would become a DL coach, as that is what some other NCAA DCs who have made the jump have done.
|14 weeks 2 days ago||Ok but Mcgary was probably||
Ok but Mcgary was probably someone we could have expected to be an early entry given his recruiting profile. Other teams have early entry too, I just listed that as an example. I'm just saying of all the people who left early under belein, McGary seems to be in the best situation and have the best potential going forward and so I'm sure looking back on it he is glad he declared. I agree the NCAA sucks but it non-uniquely sucks as other teams deal with early entry's too.
|14 weeks 2 days ago||People keep saying "imagine||
People keep saying "imagine we had Mitch" but honestly it looks like he was better off going pro (avoiding risk of injury) and ending up with okc is a great situation - granted the NCAA forced his hand. Furthermore, Anthony Davis would still be a senior now, which is crazy to me, so other teams lose players too. It's the nature (admittedly crappy) of the beast right now.
|14 weeks 2 days ago||I think a big thing with||
I think a big thing with respect to harbaugh is that he got his coaching starts at places where his talent evaluation needed to be good and creative. That can only help him now that he is here where he can be more choosy about who to recruit.

|14 weeks 3 days ago||I was talking more||
I was talking more theoretically, as in it would be great for players to be in college basketball that long where matchup like that were possible.
|14 weeks 3 days ago||Kentucky could currently have||
Kentucky could currently have Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd Gilchrist, marquis Teague, nerlens Noel, Julius randle, James young, in addition to current players like Karl towns, Willey cauley stein, devin booker, trey lyles, and dakari Johnson (that I can think off). It would have been a great game to see.
|14 weeks 3 days ago||On the other hand, teams like||
On the other hand, teams like Kentucky, osu, msu, duke, etc would be pretty good then too. I'm just happy that he was drafted in the first round, is thriving on a competitive team, is part of a great organization, has an ideal role on the team (hustling, rebounding and can grow into larger offensive responsibilities) playing with Durant and Westbrook. Honestly, I'm not sure anything could have really worked out better for him NBA wise even if he would have come back.
|14 weeks 3 days ago||Ya, I presume the other||
Ya, I presume the other poster was referring to uncommitted prospects. I find it strange that Eason is committed to Georgia, as he is from the northwest, right? Georgia produced stafford but it's otherwise an intriguing choice for someone not in SEC country, especially after they lost their OC.
|14 weeks 3 days ago||Although, the last 2 games||
Although, the last 2 games are evidence suggesting he should have gone pro regardless of the moronic NCAA. He is in an absolutely perfect for him and his skillset in okc.
