Hockey pet peeve: "when a teammate tips a puck in on you, which is exactly how my first collegiate goal against happened. Thanks, Copper."

admittedly, my travel by plane is infrequent and usually for pleasurable purposes, rather than business. However, something my father told me when I was 19 and travelled to Ireland that has really resonated with me:
Being tired is pretty sucky, just rub some whiskey on it and deal with it.

Yeah, not to bright. "That Indiana education really paying off..." This guy is a freshman, in his 2nd semester on campus. Be realistic. This has nothing to do with an "Indiana Education."

few things. I can't tell you who is "more deserving" of starting, because who is most deserving probably would prove why they deserve it during practice, the offseason, etc etc.
Second, I don't want to tone down my certainty because this is the internets and no one really cares what I have to say.
Third, Brandon Herron, 2011, Started against Western, displaced shortly after (maybe? Brady Hoke will always give his seniors a chance)
Anyway I think the most important thing to remember is the second thing

And look at the coach. Does the coach have a history of starting players that are obviously inferior? Is his relationship with the incumbent strained? Is the challenger the coaches "golden boy"?
I will tell you, without a doubt, barring injury, and for better or worse Brady Hoke will give seniors a chance to play before underclassmen.

politics here. I don't think there's anything wrong with saying a company should go under. Sure, it sucks for the company, and the people that rely on it for their well-being, but how is it helpful to this economy to say we should support a company only because there are people working at it and they will lose their jobs if the company is gone?

I felt for it too. Unfortunately due to the cloaking spray I couldn't find it and just swung my hands in front of me in despair.

First blockquote regarding last possession and three seasons. What percentage of all games come down to the last possession. My biggest complaint about basketball is how most games come down to the last 4-5 minutes, when one team either makes a run and puts the game out of reach or the other team makes a run and gets the game close. Considering that after 35 minutes of basketball, generally even the most mediocre of teams can play well enough to keep the game competitive, is not not sort of expected that games are often going to go down to the last couple of possessions?
Just a thing I'm interested in hearing a little bit more about.

Similar (read: NOT THE SAME) to the Ben Rothelsberger case a few years ago. Guilty of bad judgement, not a criminal offense.
At least from my distanced opinion.

In the first one, one has to wonder what JB was yelling at the ref. In my unprofessional and uneducated opinion, the reason he didn't receive a technical involves what is said during a heated exchange. Human nature is for coaches to turn the argument personal by questioning the referee's eyesight, morality, and intellegence level, among other things.
Perhaps our coach instead said something along the lines of, "oh didn't you hear, they changed the rules, now i don't mean to be a nuisance, but begging your pardon sir, I think that climbing on the back of a shooter...oh hey Nik, we were just discussing the rule changes, it seems that I don't quite fully understand them...."

I'm not going to argue with you about whether that is a plainclothed officer or not, although I guess it makes sense.
From what I am hearing, the incident involved a student tageting a TA, rather than a gunman going on a rampage. Plain clothes officer certainly explains the tactical underbelly attachment and the custom stock on the gun.

image of the guy with the gun. Why would you need that gun on a campus

I've got family working in that building today. Prayers go out to everyone involved. From the sounds of it the victim and the suspect knew each other well, and it was an intentional targeting as opposed to random gunfire.
Again, prayers to anyone involved.

As someone who used to be sort of affiliated with someone else who was important, I was thrilled for an opportunity to share some of my experiences. Upon doing so, I was called out to use my real name. The information I provided was plenty enough for anyone who cared to figure out who I was anyway, but they effective halted any story-telling I wanted to do.
It's really a shame, but it is just a truth about the internet.
On a side note, as someone who worked at bars for multiple years, I have been called way worse to my face than anyone could ever dream up via the webs.

Um, so, I'm not sure that is something Masamune ever said. In fact, I think you are more likely remembering this scene from iron man.

Perhaps someone could enlighten me on that second play. First of all, it seemed like Fitz tried to go upfield with it too fast. Additionally, Houma's coming down to block that backside end, he can see that DT getting the push, would it be inappropriate for him to abandon his additional assignment and hit that DT?
One thing we focused a lot on in our WR blocking drills was identifying the best possible target downfield after the snap, sort of a zone blocking scheme we called our "smash reads." Obviously a better block on the DT on that play opens it up a bit more, but it seems like there's a design flaw in that play anyway. Is the goal here to get 2 or 3 or have a huge cut-back lane?

Option two with a twist. Norfleet booches punt. Opposition recovers. Defense forces a field goal.
