Some people will say sports are only a game and don't matter. This is a great example of how sports can mean something and can change lives. I'd guess Dan Tan's favorite memories happened in gym's and locker rooms.
Does one season and off-season make this secondary better? I don't get into the coaching debate because the coach is the coach but I have a big sad face thinking about the future. I can't rationalize that one year of getting burnt and blowing tackles will suddenly improve next year with a barwisization. Even with the top corner recruit in the nation we are still back to "he's a freshman".
I'm not pointing fingers and will retire to drink but I get agitated with the assumption that "experience" is the answer. Someone please tell me why I'm wrong but I have a sad face regardless of who is coaching.
To play one decent team all year and be considered a front runner for the NC is ridiculous. I can only hope, as I suspect VA Tech will plummet in the rankings towards the end of the year and we will have a clear picture of who BSU barely beat. In a game where style points mattered Boise State earned NONE.
And yes full disclosure I am a hater, I am not jealous or arrogant, I just hate a team that would spawn Byron Hoyt. What a punk that guy is and in my mind represents everything about Boise State, you barely win a game against the one good opponent you play and you feel the need to taunt like you are some kind of world beater. Just like Hoyt I hope BSU gets knocked the heck out.
I know DRob awesome, Coach just wants to win etc. but seriously? You have last years good starter replaced by a Freshman as the backup? If DG is really that good and does give us the best chance to win either he needs to start or we need to reserve him for years when tate and Denard are gone. I guess only time will tell, if Tate never sees the field again and DG is the solid backup then fine, but if you intend on playing Forcier as well down the road it made no sense to burn a redshirt.

This shouldn't diminsh anything about the game but it is a reminder that it is only a game.
Being behind enemy lines I hear Chris on his radio show and anytime courage or toughness comes up he admits his wife had more strength and toughness than he or anyone he played with. She was on his show once talking about how do you tell the children that mommy is sick on the inside and it was one example of toughness I can't imagine and don't want to imagine having.
