And I think the added pressure of potential embarrasment could have been something they were looking for. As well as getting the new and younger players used to playing in front of a crowd/under the lights?
08/20/2014 - 1:07pm	While I am not going cliff	While I am not going cliff diving just yet, I think the line's performance in the scrimmage is some cause for concern. If the staff could be trusted to address the issues we saw, then your theory would be fine. They have seen that the line has been awful all of last year, spring practices and now again in the scrimmage, so there isn't evidence of it being an issue they can simply address. Hopefully the next two weeks and early season games are enough to get it going.

Being unaware of the pending doom made our defensive stand on the first drive more exciting. Then Countess got hurt and the rest of the game happened. I still wouldn't have wanted someone to tell me because I would have watched the game anyway and been disappointed the whole time. Instead there was a small glimmer of hope after the first defensive stand.
