Is a posbang Groot. You should be ashamed.

Really don't see why you would have a rooting interest in OSU v. Utah. I have never really cared that much about the outcome of any college game in any sport if Michigan is not playing.

will not go quietly. If they fire him they will feel it in the morning. The question they are asking themselves right now is, can whatever damage that has been done be reversed without having to fire him? They would much rather lower ticket prices, turn down the rawk, and hire a coach can that can turn the ship around and satisfy the fan base, alumni, etc. But there is the fundamental question, is Brandon a significant obstacle in hiring a top tier coach or is it a figment the fan base has cooked up in order to cover up the fact that it is just not a destination job anymore for big time coaches?
I am inclined to believe that he is not going to be fired right now but that he is going to have almost no involvement in hiring the next coach, nor much involvement with football period for the foreseeable future. They are between a rock and a hard place. Dave Brandon is not a man lacking in influence or resources.
|3 days 23 hours ago||Well,||
if you think about it from his perspective, he was doing the right thing until the Minnesota game. Sure, there were rumblings about rawk music, sky writing, etc., and the performance on the field was unimpressive, but until then, that was more of Hoke thing than a Brandon thing. I think all of this did come "out of the blue" to him.

Brandon will never have to worry about money in his life, my friend, and neither will his kids or their kids.
He was kidding.

McCarthy has informed me that my canned good supply is never sufficient.

are reporting that "somebody" contacted candidates on Michigan's behalf. Come on ESPN.
Not really much to see here. Everybody can go back to googling "Dallas Ebola Update" and deciding whether it is time to stock canned goods yet.

3 years ago you were correct, but JB is regularly recognized as a Top 10 coach by most, if not all, of the national media at this point. They just don't heap praise upon him because he comes across as the kind of guy that actively avoids praise and is almost embarrased by it. People everywhere know the score by now though.
With regard to Izzo, there is Vitale and there is everybody else. Vitale (disclaimer - I am one of the few remaining who often enjoys Vitale) really, really over does it with the Izzo praise. He has an un-healthy Izzo obsession. For the most part, I think most of the other media pundits revere Izzo for how much he has done in college basketball but are beginning to understand (and express) that his system has limtations in this age of college basketball. Izzo does keep himself visible by way of interviews and media appearances, but I can't really blame him for that.

be solid because Dawson is much better than people think. They will in fact actually be good because the "loss" of Appling is addition by subtraction and I think they have looked better for the last two years with Trice on the floor than with Appling They will not be anywhere close to great, however, because Denzel Valentine is no where close to as good as people think and because of their primary on-going issue for the last 10 years, the lack of consistent 3 point shooting. I think they are ranked fairly, it is Nebrasketball that is way to high.

He played like a full half of football. What are the medical redshirt rules?
|6 days 1 hour ago||I think....||
we need Peppers to get healthy, quickly. And yes, I saw very little Countess in the second and I don't know how much we are going to see going forward. He is getting picked on, hard. He took at pretty good Cissoko-ing in South Bend and has not looked like the same player since. (And he has never looked quite how I thought he was going to look pre-Alabama).
|6 days 3 hours ago||We lose||
approximately 0.7 players to injury on each snap. I would have just let it run out. I was surprised when nobody on our team blew out an ankle or a knee on that play.

could not have thought very much of him but still believed that he could at least finish a game where Denard got hurt and be mimimally serviceable for that duty. It took them one week for them to have Gardner back as the starting QB with what appeared to be a working knowledge of almost all of the playbook after Denard got hurt. It did not look as though they believed that Bellomy had "passed" Gardner on the long term QB depth chart, but that they could add a weapon that season at a position of need and still have their quarterback of the future. I never thought, even before Bellomy flopped, that they intended for Bellomy to be Denard's "successor." I thought they needed to find Garnder a place on the field and they were not going to take away QB1 from Denard in his senior year.
|1 week 44 min ago||In all fairness,||
and with apologies to Bellomy, I don't really think anybody thought he was going to be as bad as he was when he got in there during that season. There was even a small Bellomy bandwagon forming that Spring. There was nobody who was up in arms when that move was made, especially when Gardner looked pretty damn good at receiver.

wait in line at the Secretary of State with Norfleet.
|1 week 1 hour ago||I feel||
like they try to use him, and sometimes I like the looks of what they design for him, but it never seems to pan out to anything more than 10 yards or so when it "works." For as fast as he is he does seem to lack some explosiveness that can turn a good play into a great one. He is fast and has all the moves but he is not "slippery" like Breaston was.

that took the incomplete-bounce-ception-six to pay dirt, not Lewis.
|1 week 1 hour ago||It was||
kind of weird this past Saturday. It was the first time in a while that I just wanted Michigan to win as opposed to kind of "needing" them to win and it made for a really pleasurable watching experience. I had a "timeout movie" going on TNT, was watching some of the Bama game at times. It was the most fun I have had watching a Michigan game on TV in a while.
|1 week 1 hour ago||Not against it,||
I think it is hilarious and you can tell he has a really good time playing. I do think he could get flagged for it though if he went too far with it or if he keeps doing it to that extent. You could tell the ref behind him was a little confused, like, "I think this is allowed but......." If you dive into the endzone with a defender "not close enough" you get flagged. I think you could see players begin to get flagged under the "Norfleet rule."
|1 week 2 hours ago||People are||
pessimistic that Sparty is going to throttle us on Saturday because they play Indiana.
|1 week 3 hours ago||Their secondary||
is more vulnerable than it was, that is for sure. I have a feeling they are going to play more bump than you saw them play against Purdue, et. al. With Green out, Norfleet bubbles and Hayes screens are basically going to be our "run game" and I think State will press us at the line. Funchess is going to have a really big game for that to be a game (not to mention Peppers being available).
State is not the State of last year but to say they are "not very good" is pushing it. And Dantonio hates Michigan with a passion so there will not be any looking past this game or State being flat. Make no mistake, it is going to take a moderate miracle for us to win that game.
|1 week 3 hours ago||Did you think||
it was going to be a night game? 3:30 was the latest it could have feasibly started unless Hollis and Brandon have both changed their tune completely. And frankly I am pretty surprised this is not a noon ESPN/BTN network game. This was a pretty good result for you if you are looking at it from just the "amount of time after embarrasment until bedtime" angle.

Saul was awesome in his role in BB, but I don't know about him holding my attention as a lead, at least not for very long. I was also a little disappointed to here it was a prequel too. We know the ending, ya know. It ends when Jesse walks into his office and Saul is alive, healthy, and thriving. That is the end. I would have preferred they follow him to Nebraska.

That is why I have been so opposed to all this outrage-boycott-whatever because we need recruits, we need players to fill the roles that the coaches are trying like he'll develop into the psyche of this fan base. I am telling you, I see the blueprint. We need some more players, we need depth. I understand what these coaches are going for. I see their vision. I just don't know if I am ready to bail on it yet.
|1 week 3 days ago||There||
are positives, and there are improvements from just last year. We are moving the ball on the ground for the first time since 2007 with the exception of Denard getting the snap and playing keep-a-way. Nussmeier has a scheme, he is forcing players to learn the scheme and to play within in. There is reason and a certain consistency to what he is doing and the offense is progressing. Borges did not have an offense as much as he had "offense salad" where he threw a bunch of different ingredients into a mixing bowl and just tried to pull out the right ones each week. I actually think the offense is ahead of the defense right now. That is one scary thought, huh?

understood why seeing the Ray Rice tape in its entirety made people's outrage so much stronger. I actually came away from watching that tape believing it was more likely that the Rice incident could have been a first time-one time abberation in conduct where a (likely) drunken argument just spiraled out of control. I mean, I am not saying it wasn't bad, I just can't figure out why seeing that particular incident was really all that different from hearing about it.
|1 week 4 days ago||It has stayed||
up longer than I thought. I have noticed the mods becomming a little softer with the hammer lately. There was some Ray Rice/fiance stuff a week or so back that I thought would have result in immediate dismissal or at least deletion but not a mod was to be found.

turn off the RAWK, or at least turn it down. I took my 7 year old to his first game and he was covering his ears and giving me a "what is happening daddy" look. Michigan games used to be peaceful, almost serene experiences aside from organic crowd noise for big games and big plays. Now it feels like I am at Woodstock 99 and Limp Bizkit is breaking stuff.

don't see any further "boycotting" as wise means to possibly very legitimate ends at this point. If anything, increasing pressure on the University in this way right now could have the opposite effect and make them less willing to give the appearance of caving to public opinion. They did not get to where they are by being pushovers in any regard. I think any legitimate message has been sent, and people are now getting into diminishing returns territory.
