I thought that myself when I read that article that talked about a Data Scientist(tm)

Would unquestionably be in at 19-12 and 12-6 in conference. We would probably have a BTT bye. We would be in man, and it would not be that close.
|1 day 20 min ago||Seriously,||
WTF? I thought we were at least a sweet 16 team after the Nova game. This is just bullshit now. Next man up I guess.

Journey to the tourney(First Four) starts now!!! Go blue.

are wearing on me. I had no rooting interest until yesterday, then Sherman was irritating yesterday and now Lynch being Lynch. I kind of hope New England caps these guys now.

never saw JJ Redick just load up and dunk on somebody's head when he was in college though. He was never the "token white guy" who could shoot but had no athleticism, but neither did he go baseline, dunk on some fool, kick the ball on his way down to draw a delay of game and then stare at the crowd when he finally landed. That was the difference I saw between Stauskus and Redick, Nik has an explosiveness that Redick did not. I don't think we have enough of a sample size to declare Stauskus "serviceable but not special" yet. I think he probably has another gear that we will see in due course. He is a really cerebral player that stays one step ahead of the defense and I believe he will make the adjustment with time. I just think the NBA is a learning process to him just as his first year at Michigan was.

for sure. I never saw "slow" while he was at Michigan. I am not disagreeing with you, but that word would have never been anywhere close a description I would have given of him while he was here.

perplexed by Burke. He was very close to literally unstoppable in 2013 and the tournament, specifically. To me, he looked like an NBA ready point guard if I had ever saw one. I thought he would be an all-star within 3 years when he left.

think he would be a sure Top 10 pick if he came back. I think he should go, ASAP. I don't think this year did a lot for his stock before the injury and I don't think he should risk re-injury. I think it is time for Caris to make the move after this season.

is the precise issue. Nobody really cares that the Super Bowl is being played. Ratings have decreased the last two years, and they have propped this season up with WWF storylines released as "damning self-incriminating" information that is tarnishing the brand. Tarnishing the brand the same way it did when Miss Elizabeth took off her skirt during Wrestlemania 5 or when Dibiasi bought the title from Andre the Giant.
If the NFL did not want this to be an issue it would not be an issue. It is an issue because the more controversy there is, the more people watch.

Just do the Super-Conferences. This is just getting wierd now.

he can't say for certain that I won't be the one cutting him checks in the future.
I have got some big, big plans, and they may or may not include world domination. Careful, Justice. Just sayin.

Rutgers beat these guys. RUTGERS! Full stop. Winning this game is not some fairy tale.

Like us in this game. I don't think Kaminsky is a guy who really overwhelms you with brute strength, and our parameter athleticism will give them some issues. I'm sorry, I am selling Wisconsin right now. I think this should by a contest throughout.

one, see the Paterno angle of the Penn State scandal as having a lot more grey in it than most people outside of the Penn State community will acknowledge. I don't think that JoePa is a demonic individual who is rotting in hell right now because he was hell bent on ruining lives to protect his legacy. I don't think that view of him is supported by the established facts of the case and I think that Penn State fans view things through the prism of wanting to believe the best interpretation of the actions of Paterno, who was a very big part of the identity of their university.
I don't think any less of Penn State fans, players, or teams, due to what transpired at Penn State. I don't equate current Penn State with the Sandusky scandal.

that he has been "happy" about playing teams with injury concerns is different than being "happy that that guy, Caris Levert is injured right now." Of course he is not going to say that he is happy that Caris Levert is injured, and I believe him that the injury to another specific person does not make him happy.
|1 week 1 day ago||That is||
actually an element of Izzo's personality that I kind of like. It is true. Coaches need to win, and injuries to another team helps them do that. Any other answer would really not only be dishonest, but almost tranparently so. I don't think he is talking about torn ACLs here.
|1 week 2 days ago||Not loving||
how that sweater fits, coach.
|1 week 2 days ago||Yeah,||
I mean I can see the difference, I am not saying that JB is reaching Izzo level about it, but I have kind of heard him tip toeing the line a little bit. Just as I really did not want to hear anything else about Appling's wrist last year, I am really not interested in constant discussion regarding the ins and outs of turf toe on a daily basis this year.
|1 week 2 days ago||Not then,||
but I kind of have to disagree that he is not using the injuries as an "excuse" or something close to it. I have heard JB play the injury card an uncomfortable number of times this year, and he spoke freely about the respiratory illnesses after the NW game. It is not even close to the flat out blubbering that Izzo does, but "injuries" have certainly become a consistent word in his vocabulary this year.
I do tend to get a little irritated when a team consistently reports the injury of a player who is playing anyway. That seems Izzo-ish to me. I don't think we get to include Walton's "turf toe" or Spike's "lower body injury" in our tale of woe right now.

miraculous is how the level of air in the footballs absolutely prohibited the Colts from getting a finger on Brady the entire afternoon. I guess the center had more energy from snapping a deflated football? I guess.

it is any more doomed that it already was. There was a chance that this team could make the tourney with a good run the Big Ten(I think there is still a remote chance) but things were not shaping up well. At this point, I feel bad for Levert, he could have probably safely left last year, he came back and the team really struggled and I believe his stock likely fell a couple of notches.
As for the team, I don't think this is 100% worse thing ever. There is kind a log jam at the "position" that Caris plays, however you want to label that position. For better or worse, we are looking at the hand that has been dealt to us for the next couple of years in terms of our freshman class. I think that getting them extensive game action is imperative at this point, and this kind of takes some pressure off in the short term. I think that JB has kind of been between playing for this year and building for the future, and this development kind of forces his hand.
As good of a complete players that Levert is, I would not be surprised if you see this team play a lot looser from this point forward. I think we will say streches of very promising play, and more vocal leadership from Irvin and Walton. I don't know if that will translate to the NCAA tourney, but this team will certainly make the NIT and probably do very well in it.
|1 week 5 days ago||So,||
you would agree that those involved and bearing responsibility for what happenned are being held responsible for their actions, but you think that even those not being prosecuted should be held in some way responsible. I am not sure I understand what you are saying. Even if those responsible are held responsible you will not forgive those not responsible?

of the offensive struggles are related to youth. So many times all that several of our players need is one pump fake and they are going to the line or scoring. They don't have the patience yet to understand that shots that appear "open" still require ingenuity. Doyle seems to be adjusting somewhat and improving his positioning before he goes up. Chatman has not even begun to grasp it, and by the time he has figured out he actually doesn't have a look he is mid-air leading to a laughable rejection or a circus shot.
|2 weeks 7 hours ago||Man,||
sad but true.
And should that not be part of the "test" for pro-scouts deciding whether he is worthy of a high-draft pick. If "the team that he is on would likely be about the same if you took him off of it" doesn't create some apprehension I don't know what would.

could still make the tournament. If one of those wins is Wisconsin or at Michigan State and they win a game or two in the NCAA tournament they will likely get in on the down side of the bubble, possibly even a play-in game. I am not saying such a scenario is likely, but I don't think last night was a "bubble bursting" game. In March all last night will be is a "loss at Ohio State," which in and of itself is not anything dire.
That article is more than a little concerning. The team seams resigned and Beilein is talking about foul trouble. Not exactly what you hope to see.
|2 weeks 8 hours ago||My concern||
lies more with issues involving will and instinct. Hardaway had some struggles, but he was an alpha, his failures only made him more ferocious and intense, same with Stauskus. I don't see that from anybody on this team. There is no edge, there does not seem to be any instinct to individually fight back when other teams exert their will. I am not sure how much of that is taught.

watching the game, last night.

are not watching close enough my man. Caris is an extremely inconsistent shooter with an unfinished release and he is prone to awful turnovers against aggressive defense due to a suspect handle. He got benched for the entire second half last night and you are sitting there talking about guaranteed money. Man, I like him and I am not trying to hate on him, but I think people got a little carried away last year and are really not understanding what they are seeing. I thought he was probably the 3rd best pro prospect on the court last night, and that game wasn't exactly Duke v. Kentucky.
