Hypothetically speaking I would expect Long to completely shutdown Clowney. He was just a different kind of animal out on the field.
24 weeks 1 day ago	Lewan vs Clowney will be a	Lewan vs Clowney will be a great matchup as long as Clowney is fully healthy. From what they've said on espn he's been dealing with a nagging foot injury that has caused him to lose a step. Could require surgery at the end of the season. Hopefully the time off before the bowl game gets Clowney close to 100% so we can get a true assessment.
25 weeks 2 days ago	I would agree with Magnus,	I would agree with Magnus, looks more like a linebacker prospect. I was impressed with his ability to be patient and read the play and than accelerate aud go make the tackle. Confused on the last kickoff coverage though 0_o
36 weeks 6 days ago	I know AF was cut blocking	I know AF was cut blocking all day so that has something to do with out D line not getting any penetration but i still think that will be a weak point this year. We failed to keep contain all day, that dissapointed me more than anything. Denard looked pretty good. I wanted Funchess to get in the game vs Alabama last week because I thought he could be a difference maker and it showed yesterday. Just my opinion but I just don't see him putting on too much weight over his career, at least not enough to be a true tight end. Would love to see him get moved to wide out and work on his route running and speed. He could be lethal.

1 year 24 weeks ago	Yeah don't think cutting him	Yeah don't think cutting him makes sense but you're right, he really needs to get his shit together and quit looking like an idiot.  I really liked Suh his first year but I'm starting not to because he makes bonehead decisions and to be honest he seems like a liar. I couldn't believe he denied kicking that guy. Lost a lot of respect for him.

Yeah his actions on and off the field haven't been the greatest at times to say the least but he's still one of the best d-lineman in the NFL. Lets just give away one of the best players at his position in the ENTIRE nfl. Makes no sense.

Didn't think he was going to come in and take over the starting position as a freshman. Besides the injuries Woolfolk has been really dissapointing. I was excited to get a veteran starter coming back but he just never looked good.

As we all know Mattison and that defensive staff have worked wonders with RR's recruits, some that I thought could never look as good as they did this year. If we are able to get him I'm excited to see how fast Mattison is able to get his technique and footwork down.  If he's able to improve those, with his size he could be a potential shutdown corner.

1 year 25 weeks ago	Ron English definitely	Ron English definitely deserves this award. I would've never thought Eastern would be 6-6 this year. I thought when they played us they looked a lot better than any other year I've ever seen them. Wouldn't say he's ready to jump up to BCS level yet though. If Eastern ever wins the MAC under his watch though I say send him up because that would surprise the hell out of me.
1 year 25 weeks ago	I was pretty impressed with	I was pretty impressed with this kid. He seems like he has some good upside. Pass blocking looked real solid but for his size I didn't always see that pop and driving his opponent on his hits when he was run blocking. He did do a great job of that at times in the highlight but I think he could man-handle high school kids even more than he already is. Solid kid, only thing I think he needs to work on.
1 year 25 weeks ago	Can't even explain how	Can't even explain how awesome it is to see the defense swarming to the ball and poppin guys and to know that I'm not watching a highlight video from 2007.  I did a lot of that during the RR era.
1 year 25 weeks ago	Don't Think So	I don't think we need to resort to playing away at MAC schools or at Rice to get recruits to see us or notice us. In the words of Brady Hoke "Were Michigan."  I think that sums it up.
2 years 6 weeks ago	Reason to be optimistic	I agree Will Campbell looks like a bust but hopefully I'm wrong.  It's hard for me to be too negative about anything right now though because all I see is our team making a major leap in coaching and our recruiting. ( I mean c'mon we have Greg Mattison, that was HUGE ) I realize that it's going to take at least a few years to get this team where it needs to be but I'm really excited to see the steps we've taken.  Anything is better than a crappy big east team that R-Rod tried to turn us into.
