time basketball won a game like this? I can think of a number of improbable football comebacks and where a game was stolen from basketball (Indiana, Wisc this year are top of mind). However, I just can't remember anything like this, man, they needed one to show themselves they can do it.

tournaments helped or hurt your seeding (e.g. a 1 seed would keep a 1 seed regardless). I have heard that it will this year, I am not sure why that would change on a yearly basis. Alternatively, a conference tournament win seemed to help bubble teams. I would be interested to understand the exact formula used.

Wisconsin fouls relentlessly at home, just like Purdue to the point the refs just stop calling it. We need to do the same and adjust to that fact. We can't play our normal clean ball with this team.

I don't think his concern for others reaches too far away from Urban, particularly to other coaches.

I could not understand how those pro-style teams adjusted so well to the spread and we struggled so badly in incorporating concepts. The interesting thing I noticed is how they run pro-style and would switch to the zone read which just crushed the keys of the LBs. I saw games with Seattle vs Bears and Washington vs Dallas where the defense was clueless. They also actually read a defensive player instead of blocking them all like Al prefers.

It appeared that we was pressing with the jump hook in a string of 4 straight shots from him so I wonder if he was honestly trying to work on that shot against a weaker opponent. One was an airball, a miss, a block and then a miss. He has multiple moves, but it just seemed odd that we was going to the basket that way. I could be wrong.

it was just an effing disaster. The further we get from his tenure, the more that unfortunate point is further cemented. The guy was simply not ready for it at that point in his career, still not.

There is a ton of information out there and the narrative seems to shift around a bit. I have also seen a number of stories which seem to quote other stories where the information gets slightly altered. 

I can only assume Pete Thamel has not altered his notes from his SI piece on Teo and his girlfriend since he should have a record of it. The amount of detail is staggering considering this person did not exist. Back to knowing her for 4 years, starting to date in Oct 2011, details of her life, etc, it is simply hard to comprend the extent of the lie that Teo promoted and his current explanation of being duped. 

Yes, the guy did not commit a crime, but to manufacture such an elaborate tale involving severe injury, cancer and his heroic involvement requires a pretty twisted mind. After reading the detailed notes, there should be no further questions regarding what he did, only why the "high character guy" was such a fraud.

I have not enjoyed watching a college player like that for a while. He is so in control and aware of how the pieces work in that complex offense, I am just in awe when I see him play.

The guy has been around many, many quality QBs in his career. Problem is that he does not need to be a QB coach and we would need to let someone go.

Having him bring an advanced passing attack to a really good running team. He would not have the QB on the roster now, but I am sure he could find one. For all his issues, the guy can run an offense.

It is crazy to have Nik, Mitch coming off the bench along with Spike, John and the rest. A few combos don't work so well, but it is awesome to not have a feeling of dread when the starters rotate out.

We went to the spread since the manball to manball approach was not working against elite teams that could recruit better skill position players. I don't know how manball magically works now unless we are getting QB/RB/WR on the level of the top teams and we have yet to see that happen with RB/WR.

He goes into a shell for some reason that is just beyond me. I could live with it if he was GERG Davis at Iowa and you just knew what you were getting. The switch between awesome and incompetent is maddening.

The offense was it's usual GERG tire fire. At some point you are what you are, that does fall on the coaching staff.

Granted McVey unfortunately got sidelined by injuries so we never saw his true potential, but it is a great example of how recruiting is part skill and part luck. Nobody could have projected Jake becoming an absolute terror by his RS-S season when they picked their respective colleges.

If you are willing to let your school issue a false press release on your behalf about this incident and then only days later tell them "my bad", I would have to think this same person would be a bit slow in reporting other things such as potential NCAA violations. Petrino was known as a mercenary, but now that is added to questionable ethics which makes a seemingly poor combination for someone representing a public institution.

predictable. He simply took advantage of having better players than the other team and would out execute or over power them. This does not work well when your opponent has equal talent. Also, this is not my observation since I never really paid attention to UT football when I was in Texas beyond some obligatory games, I put my energy in watching Michigan play. This is feedback from many, many UT fans.
