Yeah pretty impressive punch, hell, he almost de-cleted him. Dude has some power. |
| 7 weeks 2 days ago | I guarantee Mr Delany had some words that influenced |
the firing considering Rutgers pending move to the B1G, we don't want that crap in our conference and I am sure he probably went straight to the top without bothering with the AD. The AD showed some poor judgement in this one and seems like a knucklehead.

like New Mexico and Iowa. That and Alford is one of the few coaches I have met who is a geniune a**hole, incredibly so. Oh that and his other unfortunate foray as a moral leader documented by CBS in Chicago, not too ambiguous with that title http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2013/03/31/bernstein-ucla-hired-a-scumbag/

| 7 weeks 6 days ago | I was thinking this same thing in addition to when was the last |
time basketball won a game like this? I can think of a number of improbable football comebacks and where a game was stolen from basketball (Indiana, Wisc this year are top of mind). However, I just can't remember anything like this, man, they needed one to show themselves they can do it.
|
| 7 weeks 6 days ago | Imagine if he did not have the bum ankle and showed up in shape? |
It took most the year to get his conditioning and eating sorted out. The guy has some great offensive skills that almost surprise me when I see them when you compare him to the guy in the regular season. |

| 8 weeks 2 days ago | There is some luck in that as well, however |
a former coach knows when he is seeing lines mauling each other. That is typically not hyperbole since he should know big dudes getting after it. More interesting is the RB situation with him even calling it out. Mr Green needs to step in and step up this fall. |

| 9 weeks 22 hours ago | THE MOST HATED COMMERCIAL EVER |
I am glad somebody else is as annoyed by that Chase cash back card commerical with the dumbass ripping off Footloose. Not only is it a mountain of marketing suck, it is replayed relentlessly. I can take off the tinfoil hat now. |
| 9 weeks 2 days ago | Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu |
************kkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!! Depth yes, an exact replacement for an All-B1G JMFR, not exactly. What is this with knee injuries to key defensive players for entire seasons? |
| 9 weeks 3 days ago | That is crazy to even contemplate |
since the possibilities are almost endless. At that point, is it just a mercenary league out for the cash and basically semi-pro with only the biggest names. It would require such a structural shift, that you just wonder if it could functionally work. |
| 9 weeks 3 days ago | I didn't get this article |
Assume you play to win. Alternatively, it is an admission that they were not ready to play if they played not to lose. Could not figure it out. |
| 9 weeks 5 days ago | McGary was considered one of the top recruits in the |
country at one point. Develop him beyond an airball machine which I don't believe he is at this point. That is crazy to even consider. |
| 10 weeks 3 days ago | It was not always true that the post season conference |
tournaments helped or hurt your seeding (e.g. a 1 seed would keep a 1 seed regardless). I have heard that it will this year, I am not sure why that would change on a yearly basis. Alternatively, a conference tournament win seemed to help bubble teams. I would be interested to understand the exact formula used. |
| 10 weeks 3 days ago | Aw seriously hate on that dunk? It was great, his expression |

That would have been interesting to see live. |
| 12 weeks 4 days ago | Absolutely spot on, I also feel better that it is Stoops who is |

To the credit of this staff, at least they tend to reconsider and fix issues. |
| 14 weeks 1 hour ago | Got to do it at the gym, had some Chevelle- Face to the Floor |

| 14 weeks 6 days ago | I think we should hack regardless of FT% |
Wisconsin fouls relentlessly at home, just like Purdue to the point the refs just stop calling it. We need to do the same and adjust to that fact. We can't play our normal clean ball with this team. |

| 15 weeks 17 hours ago | Definitely McGary |
That guy is developing as his PT is increasing, got to find that ceiling. |
| 15 weeks 22 hours ago | Holy buckets, Maryland (!) out recruited |
everybody except us, Ohio and Nebraska? Guess I have not been following this closely, but that is Maryland with Randy Edsall right? Not a different Maryland? |
| 15 weeks 23 hours ago | Vandenberg from Iowa did though |
that guy tore it up last year, he completed dozens of passes... spread over the entire season... between 1-3 YPA |
| 15 weeks 1 day ago | A peak at Seattle is probably not a bad idea either |
I could not understand how those pro-style teams adjusted so well to the spread and we struggled so badly in incorporating concepts. The interesting thing I noticed is how they run pro-style and would switch to the zone read which just crushed the keys of the LBs. I saw games with Seattle vs Bears and Washington vs Dallas where the defense was clueless. They also actually read a defensive player instead of blocking them all like Al prefers. |
| 15 weeks 2 days ago | Today was a bad day to stop.... |
In my case it was drinking. I needed a few after this one just to calm down. My god. I hope this helps us in the tourney. What a mess. |
| 15 weeks 2 days ago | It is b/c we have now seen everyone from Couric to Dr Phil |
Involved. Seriously, this has been a mountain of pain to inflict on us. I would have been happy at fraud being committed. Instead we got him on the talk shows along with his accomplice/buddy/boyfriend(?) which has simply been more than enough for me. |

Good Lord. I think some junior high girl from 1987 is missing her pastel Reebok high tops. I hope it is just the color on my browser. |
| 15 weeks 4 days ago | You mean Victor F**king Oladipo? |
I was finally asked how I knew his middle name was F**king since I was calling him by his full name most of the game. Even though I had a few beverages, it admittedly does roll off the tongue quite easily. |
| 15 weeks 4 days ago | I highly doubt that Gene Smith |
sits down with a blogger, let alone a Michigan blogger. |
| 16 weeks 2 hours ago | If this was not photoshopped, I am not sure what to say |
in regards to that picture |
| 16 weeks 1 day ago | Seemed like Hardaway was determined to use a jump hook |
It appeared that we was pressing with the jump hook in a string of 4 straight shots from him so I wonder if he was honestly trying to work on that shot against a weaker opponent. One was an airball, a miss, a block and then a miss. He has multiple moves, but it just seemed odd that we was going to the basket that way. I could be wrong. |
| 16 weeks 1 day ago | Seriously? From the same company or a different |
vendor? Obviously Ray Lewis is enough of a beliver. You saw no effect? |
| 16 weeks 1 day ago | I like the "I wish things would have gone differently" |
Dude, you were the guy running the defense. It went as directed by you. Who are you wishing for something to have changed?!? |
| 16 weeks 1 day ago | Hoping he gets to tear up State, Georgia and |
Alabama during his time at Michigan. I think everyone is a bit gun shy after the RR era when we were supposed to trust the coaches on a possible reaches. Looking for big things from Da'Mario. |
| 16 weeks 1 day ago | As much excitement I had when we hired him |
it was just an effing disaster. The further we get from his tenure, the more that unfortunate point is further cemented. The guy was simply not ready for it at that point in his career, still not. |
| 16 weeks 3 days ago | Honestly, I took it for it's literal meaning |
that we are on. However, this seems to make a bit more sense. |
| 16 weeks 5 days ago | Manbawwwllll |
About friggen time, amen to this one. |
| 17 weeks 4 days ago | Once someone files a civil case, this will get real interesting |
I assume that girl whose picture was used is a good candidate considering she aske for none of this mess or anyone who contributed to the charity for Lennay. If Tuiasosopo is targeted, he pulls in his buddy Teo since he will have the money in a few months. |
| 17 weeks 4 days ago | That is the issue, that you get the genius |
placed around the other average stuff. That impression of Teo was awesomeness. |
| 17 weeks 4 days ago | That is true, but he did not get the hype |
I think it is a pretty valid point that he was a very, very good possession receiver which is not going to get the hype of the burners running the fly routes. |
| 18 weeks 1 hour ago | Posted in another thread, pasted here for him by PGB: |
There is a ton of information out there and the narrative seems to shift around a bit. I have also seen a number of stories which seem to quote other stories where the information gets slightly altered. I can only assume Pete Thamel has not altered his notes from his SI piece on Teo and his girlfriend since he should have a record of it. The amount of detail is staggering considering this person did not exist. Back to knowing her for 4 years, starting to date in Oct 2011, details of her life, etc, it is simply hard to comprend the extent of the lie that Teo promoted and his current explanation of being duped. Yes, the guy did not commit a crime, but to manufacture such an elaborate tale involving severe injury, cancer and his heroic involvement requires a pretty twisted mind. After reading the detailed notes, there should be no further questions regarding what he did, only why the "high character guy" was such a fraud.

However, we were getting blown out at the time.... |
| 18 weeks 22 hours ago | That is the one of the craziest things I have watched in a |
long time. Who doesn't want to see Sparty destroyed by a Transformer or a Hockey Bear from outer space? |
| 18 weeks 1 day ago | At least Swarbick has a second career in acting |
Loved the full display at the presser, tears and all. Maybe he watch part of the NC game before going on stage. Spoiler Alert- Your independent investigation firm of Kelly and Associates likely did not look to hard into this one. Your boy has a bit too much video of himself talking about this person to believe it was "online" only. |
| 18 weeks 1 day ago | Yes, a victim, it all makes so much sense |
I need to start using that line... |
| 18 weeks 2 days ago | Maybe they can team up with Sparty for lessons on who |
to beat up. Incorporate the student body instead of student athletes into your fights. |
| 19 weeks 20 hours ago | I also think these guys were looking at OSU |
Much bigger game, just natural. |
| 19 weeks 2 days ago | Maybe Fran was thinking about eating a large |
hamburger. Two Hands! |
| 19 weeks 6 days ago | I wonder if the elder Hardaway has done any work with |
Burke. I would assume 1) they have met at some point and 2) if I was Burke, the first thing I would ask the guy is for tips on his handle, how he perfected it, techique to practice, etc. I don't remember Burke being so devastating with it last year.
|
| 20 weeks 55 min ago | Watching Burke run the offense is just masterful |
I have not enjoyed watching a college player like that for a while. He is so in control and aware of how the pieces work in that complex offense, I am just in awe when I see him play. |
| 20 weeks 19 hours ago | A true Michigan Man does not jest like this sir! |
/harumphs
|
| 20 weeks 19 hours ago | Always was interested how he transitioned back from OC to |
RB coach. I never knew how that was approached since you don't see it very often. |
| 20 weeks 19 hours ago | Would you want to work with Greg Davis? |
Seriously, they threw to the WRs twice the game they played us. Not so sure you will be getting those top WR recruits to work with. |
| 20 weeks 23 hours ago | Yes, his stats were incredible, teams had to game plan against |
Him. Wait, we are talking about Clowney right? Who is this other guy? |
| 20 weeks 1 day ago | Unscientific, but I just feel MSU will play us harder than |
they would play UI just out of rivalry hatred. To a lesser extent, I think Ohio will be similar. Everybody wants to win every game, it just is different with certain teams when you can get extraordinary effort. Again, just an opinion. |
| 21 weeks 1 day ago | This is about as much triumph of the human spirit |
That you will find from anybody. Those odds were so long for him. |
| 23 weeks 1 day ago | Why even bother going there as a RB? |
I don't believe in curses, but I do believe in trends and probabilities. There is something flawed in that program. |
| 23 weeks 1 day ago | That guy was regularly tested in the NFL and was still awesome |
Wait, oh yeah, he sucked in the NFL |
| 23 weeks 1 day ago | NCAA was busy busting excessive stretchers and could |
Not be bothered with small stuff like that |
| 23 weeks 1 day ago | Like the Nature Boy Rick Flair |
"To be the man, you've got to beat the man! WOOOOOO!!! " |
| 23 weeks 1 day ago | Maybe it involves Kate Upton as our #1 fan |
That would a WOW moment for half the population at least. |
| 23 weeks 2 days ago | Mr Avant also pulled #1 in ESPN Top 10 as well for |
his effort. Pretty impressive off a full weekend of NFL/NBA/NCAAB games. That guy is a great athlete and person, happy for him. |
| 23 weeks 3 days ago | It was requested in a public records release |
Long made the mistake of mentioning it, not releasing it. Basically amounted to the same thing after people heard of its existence. |
| 23 weeks 3 days ago | Wisconsin sausage fingers |
Would be appropriate to use here |
| 23 weeks 3 days ago | However, you could live in it or just haul something |
per the owner. Maybe I should park it down by the river and take up residence. |
| 23 weeks 3 days ago | I would take Cam as a QB coach |
The guy has been around many, many quality QBs in his career. Problem is that he does not need to be a QB coach and we would need to let someone go. |
| 23 weeks 3 days ago | Can you blame John though? |
The D is banged up and needs the offense to do something, anything and it will lock down the division. I honestly hate the Ravens (liked the coaches) and hate to see them do well, but think it is a good move. |
| 23 weeks 3 days ago | Actually, that might have been horrifying |
Having him bring an advanced passing attack to a really good running team. He would not have the QB on the roster now, but I am sure he could find one. For all his issues, the guy can run an offense. |
| 23 weeks 4 days ago | Gonna say the same thing |
Wish that guy would do something interesting sometime, maybe should would on his hands |
| 23 weeks 4 days ago | Part of Tim's finishing moves before shooting |
A bit nicer than putting his spine out of the guy's body |
| 24 weeks 21 hours ago | No, just move to the triple douchebag collar pop |
It will make you cooler

Mmmmm, popcorn shrimp /drools like Homer Simpson |
| 24 weeks 1 day ago | Easier to blame someone else than look at yourself |
The guy is a clown, great fit for Ohio |
| 24 weeks 1 day ago | Biels can make it rain with those extra 600 large |

| 25 weeks 1 day ago | Delany is gonna make it rain in College Park! |
Actually, that one of those thoughts I would rather forget... permanently |
| 25 weeks 1 day ago | Man, I love our players off the bench |
It is crazy to have Nik, Mitch coming off the bench along with Spike, John and the rest. A few combos don't work so well, but it is awesome to not have a feeling of dread when the starters rotate out. |
| 25 weeks 2 days ago | Can't wait to watch this unfold on Judge Judy |
I bet she will be a hard ass on the penalty for leaving the conference |
| 25 weeks 2 days ago | I guess wait until tomorrow |
Maybe he comes back. |
| 25 weeks 3 days ago | We have an absolute stud DC and retread OC |
Just the way it is. You would probably have every program in the nation interested in Mattison when he was at the Ravens and I am not sure who would be luring Borges away from SDSU after putting up decent offensive numbers on WAC teams, which is like saying water is wet. Great coaches adapt to what they have, e.g. Mattison, who immediately improved the defense. Borges has seen his offense slide further down the rankings in each year. Hey man, results based charting. |
| 25 weeks 4 days ago | Correct, Mandel is an idiot |
We went to the spread since the manball to manball approach was not working against elite teams that could recruit better skill position players. I don't know how manball magically works now unless we are getting QB/RB/WR on the level of the top teams and we have yet to see that happen with RB/WR. |
| 25 weeks 4 days ago | There are no guarantees there |
Also, I don't see how a tweak in scheme is such a big deal. We have seen other programs switch with better results. |
| 25 weeks 5 days ago | Al is great in small game and poor in big ones |
He goes into a shell for some reason that is just beyond me. I could live with it if he was GERG Davis at Iowa and you just knew what you were getting. The switch between awesome and incompetent is maddening. |
| 25 weeks 6 days ago | Tire Fire |
You are what you are. |
| 25 weeks 6 days ago | The Defense at least showed some life |
The offense was it's usual GERG tire fire. At some point you are what you are, that does fall on the coaching staff. |
| 26 weeks 1 day ago | This is all sorts of genius |
Worked some overtime on this one. |
| 26 weeks 3 days ago | When I listened to the audio on Taco's highlight, I was |

| 26 weeks 3 days ago | You have a point there, but Sparty looks to be in a bit |
better shape. The Scarlet Knight has flabby arms and looks like a molester. |
| 26 weeks 4 days ago | PAAAAWWWWWLLLLLLLLLL, they're asking for |

| 27 weeks 23 hours ago | Blerg |

| 28 weeks 5 days ago | Talk about much ado about nothing |
Overhyped and I have no idea why anyone pays attention to her |
| 29 weeks 2 days ago | In other words, our swiss army knife offense is |
resembling a handful of plastic sporks? It does everything and nothing at the same time? |
| 29 weeks 2 days ago | Brian- Spend some time with that Oregon double stack |
It deserves more than just a link, that was really interesting use of that formation. |
| 29 weeks 2 days ago | I was a bit surprised at that as well |
I guess if he says "no", then he has to answer why. If he just says he was, then he can spin it a bit about being on the road, etc. Either way, I at least expect some level of competency at the position. |
| 29 weeks 2 days ago | After reading this, it appears we are now the ACC |
2 Football teams ranked in the AP Top 25 5 Basketball teams ranked in the AP Top 25 |
| 29 weeks 6 days ago | Until you are down with squash and boating |

| 30 weeks 2 hours ago | Pls attach H/T to Home Run Jack at EBSBS for the Iowa review |

| 30 weeks 2 days ago | I seem to be warming to the man myself |
Mighty fine trolling |
| 30 weeks 4 days ago | Large and a tackle that will willingly run a mile |
A mile! At 6'9" and who knows how many pounds. That just says something about his athletic ability. I guess my only question would be his height in the event he gets any taller in HS. I know there is some issues with knee bend etc when you get too tall and you are trying to stop a speed rusher on the edge. Ogden was 6'9" and pretty damn good, but he was also very athletic. |
| 31 weeks 3 days ago | If the results follow his track records with defenses |
The long snappers will start skipping balls back or simply throw them over the heads of the punters/holders. They will then start a rapid descent to the bottom of their respective league in long snapper efficiency until Dr Vorax appears, thereby torpedoing the current HC and GERG's employment. |
| 31 weeks 4 days ago | That is great |
Thanks so much |
| 31 weeks 4 days ago | That one unfortunately does not work for me |
It is a provider coverage issue, thanks though. |
| 32 weeks 1 hour ago | An absolutely solid kid |
We can always use guys like that on our team |
| 32 weeks 22 hours ago | Remember when Ryan was overshadowed by Scott McVey |
on his HS team and it was a big win for OSU to get McVey? Holy Buckets did that work out well for us. Granted McVey unfortunately got sidelined by injuries so we never saw his true potential, but it is a great example of how recruiting is part skill and part luck. Nobody could have projected Jake becoming an absolute terror by his RS-S season when they picked their respective colleges. |
| 32 weeks 3 days ago | I also wonder what he would be like as a guard |
The dude can move some bodies and seems unusally quick for such a large individual. |
| 32 weeks 3 days ago | This game should have mandatory participation |
before posting to the board after any loss. It would be a good way to lower aggression by directing it elsewhere. I am never played such an insane game. |
| 32 weeks 6 days ago | Actually that is a great idea |
Throwing it away is not aways a bad thing. |
| 34 weeks 2 days ago | I struggle to stop watching this |
It is mesmerizing |
| 35 weeks 2 days ago | What is better is that Borges seems to troll with bubble screens |
which is probably the best part about this strange dance at the presser |
| 36 weeks 23 hours ago | As long as it does not involved a gulag |
I suppose it is ok. Admittedly very surprising at first read. |
| 37 weeks 1 day ago | I am just stoked to see a DL running the ball |
Dude is pretty athletic. |
| 37 weeks 2 days ago | Wood chipper may be generous |
I sort of felt like they took the chips and put them in a blender by the time I finished that damn game. |
| 37 weeks 4 days ago | The key is that we are poor f*@king Boba Fett right now flying |
Aimlessly in the background if that gif. How boosters are activated for a trip to nowhere good with Countess out for the year. He isn't the most key player on the team to lose, but he is close to the top 5 don't want to lose. |
| 38 weeks 2 days ago | When I lived there, I went to TABC oftern |
on the corner of Thomas Ave and Allen. There is now a bar directly across the street from TABC with big screens as well and more of an open feel. There are also sports bars on McKinney as well which is a short walk, you can hop to one that is more happening. |
| 39 weeks 4 days ago | Great point on missing on those other two guys |
Either one elevates that program. Instead they ended up with their own version of ThreetSheridanDammit last year.
|
| 39 weeks 5 days ago | This is what you get for putting his likeness on a t-shirt |
Had to know it would enrage him. |
| 39 weeks 6 days ago | However there is one important point here |
The kid is a preferred walk-on at Akron that was not invited to their preseason camp, per the ESPN article. Might get some attention, but the sad reality is that PSU is taking a kid that did not have the talent to make it at Akron. That is pretty messed up. Granted, he will be with his brother now on his dream team, but still, sort of crazy. |
| 40 weeks 2 days ago | Is that really happening or is he having hallucinations? |
Are we sure Fred is not on acid right now? People are moving through space with seeming warp capability and this soup thing just seems like he is tripping balls right now. I would give all the moneys to sit down with a number of beers and just listen to that guy for a few hours. |

Awesome disk (or album or tape, I can't remember anymore). |
| 50 weeks 2 days ago | I can't even get my head around that story |
I think about it and it is so damn strange. Is he teaching him some lesson using some eastern logic learned studying running back from the monks in western China? Is FJ diabetic? Does he have no short term memory? Does he just like to use the free drinks he gets? What in the hell? This just randomly keeps popping into my mind and I will read it again assuming I am missing something. |

Than any notoriety he gets from being noticed. Assuming that it is a real picture and/or name. Hoping it is since he is a fool. |

| 1 year 2 days ago | New research on CTE with vets as well is shedding new light |
I don't think this is moral panic. We are getting closer to understanding CTE, particularly with a larger sample size from vets who are exposed to roadside bombs and the side effects they have been experiencing. Sounds very similar to what many football players describe. The link below is pretty interesting on what they are seeing with mice and simulations to induce CTE. It is not conclusive, but it can't be ignored or brushed away. Just need more time to really understand this problem. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/17/us/brain-disease-is-found-in-veterans-exposed-to-bombs.html?_r=1 |

Giving a girl half your age, who is not your daughter, a ride on your motorcycle later in the afternoon does not go over so well on the home front. Of particular importance is that this was not a hitch hiker, but his newly hired member of the staff. Sort of raises a few questions. |

| 1 year 6 weeks ago | Going out on a limb with this |
If you are willing to let your school issue a false press release on your behalf about this incident and then only days later tell them "my bad", I would have to think this same person would be a bit slow in reporting other things such as potential NCAA violations. Petrino was known as a mercenary, but now that is added to questionable ethics which makes a seemingly poor combination for someone representing a public institution. |

I think I have seen Barnum healthy for a full season regardless of if we has playing or not. I think the only year he did not have an injury was his redshirt year. Maybe Miller has been putting on some weight and his looking like that #2. Hard to tell at this point. |

Kudos for putting it all out there every week. Not too many of us could do that. Secondly, if you don't get Cook on for a Cameo, shame on you. | 1 year 13 weeks ago | He would not use complex schemes and his offense was |
predictable. He simply took advantage of having better players than the other team and would out execute or over power them. This does not work well when your opponent has equal talent. Also, this is not my observation since I never really paid attention to UT football when I was in Texas beyond some obligatory games, I put my energy in watching Michigan play. This is feedback from many, many UT fans. |

| 1 year 15 weeks ago | Not really a close grip bench |
Powerlifters will bring their grip in to shoulder width similar to a push up. You retract the lats, bring the elbows towards the body more and it give you more power. You might see other guys who are trying to body build take a wider grip and bring their elbows out like a "T" from their body. This puts more pressure on the shoulder and has less useful applicability to Mike's move off the line (he would have his hands closer to when delivering a blow to the offensive lineman). All that said, this was an impressive lift by Mike. |
