On air, in the privacy

of your home, waiting in line at Burger King - you do you, man.  Have it your way.

Uh

A young Musberger called John Smith and Tommie Carlos "blackskinned stormtroopers" for having the audacity to raise their fists, so I would not mind it at all if that creepy old man croaked on-air during his last hoorah.  It's the fate he deserves.

Ok

"Seth: And Michigan is special. We are dismayed that we are going to the Orange Bowl right now. My rooting interest here until they change how the players are compensated is why would you want to go to Stanford when you can go somewhere where you wouldn't think about skipping your last game."

Im sorry, are you implying that yung hungry MICHIGAN MEN DURRR would never skip a bowl game because they play at such a fine institution?  And that those bottom feeding scum sucking mother fuckers at a fourth tier school like Stanford have no idea what its like to play at a "special" place?

As a Michigan alum and huge fan, I find your take to be completely fucking stupid.

It can safely be said

That your performance in this thread is the most embarrassing event in the history of everything.  Thank you so much for the laughs.  It got better and better with each of your nonsensical replies.

On the surface

Sure, investing money in education sounds great.  But if your investment isn't resulting in improved learning outcomes for students, and is not providing a safe or sanitary environment for students to thrive...whatever he is doing is a net negative.

Donating time and money doesn't equal success and a free pass from criticism.  And the "time" Jalen donates is certainly debatable.  He put his name on it.  Whoopty doo.

Perhaps you need a refresher course

on source analysis.  Because "anyone can see that" that was exactly what he was saying.

Unless you think "well maybe they shouldnt have girls around boys" somehow IS NOT victim-blaming

in which case

that says enough about you.

Why

do you and others like you bother to make points like this.  Who is talking about Tom Brady?  What does he have to do with anything?  Peyton Manning, a deplorable piece of shit who has been enabled by even more deplorable pieces of shit his entire career, forced his junk into a university employees face and then plotted ways to try and deflect blame while simultaneously ruining her career.

The evidence is very, very damning.

That's all there is to it.

Tell us again, Magnus.

Please.  Pretty please.  Reiterate your wonderfully astute argument that the victim of a sexual assault is somehow to blame for the damage and misery inflicted upon her.

And don't forget to post the Hottie Boobies of the Day on your shit website.

Get bent.

Hi my name's magnus

and I'm an idiot who will ramble about anything as long as I get the last word on an internet forum because thats the kind of pathetic insecure piece of shit that I am and oh HEY LOOK GUYS HERES SOME BOOBIES 4 U TO LOOK AT ON MY TOUCH THE BONER WEBSITE

Fuck you.

That's a relief

And to normal, functioning members of society your opinion is rightfully seen as deeply stupid, harmful and disturbing.

Please feel free

to continue blabbering aimlessly about my avatar in an effort to deflect from the fact you're a miserable, misogynistic piece of shit whose proposed solution to workplace sexual assaults is "don't have women around men"

You, sir, are an insufferable twat.

No

What you're saying is much, much dumber.

Behold

The last remaining Cro-magnon, everybody!

In the world of magnus

Which is populated by approximately one person - a backwards, unintelligent, misogynistic dipstick who lacks enough self-awareness to keep digging this hole of his deeper.

The public school system

has failed you.

Pitiful, offensive comparison.

The more you speak

The more you reveal yourself to be a rambling, incoherent idiot who just likes to hear himself talk.

Which is something every poster here who doesn't have their head up their ass has known about you for a long, long time.

You are an embarrassment.

Once could type a lengthy response detailing what an ignorant, dimwitted buffoon that you are, but your history on this site has shown you will always be a loser who checks off all of the above character traits.  Pointing out the error in your ways is fruitless when it is 2016 and you are still making halfassed arguments like that.

You should be ashamed of yourself.  Your very existence sets humanity back.  Congrats, I guess.

....

what you've just said... Is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point, in your rambling, incoherent response, were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

I take

an inordinate amount of joy in not only laughing at people like the "blue and gold" guy from last night, but also people who are really bent out of shape about it.

Welcome!

Welcome to the Blue and Gold, Michael!

Well

Anthony Davis is trending towards becoming the most dominant big man in NBA history, and we will be blessed if 'Dre tops out as a Dwight Howard doppleganger.

So we probably won't have to worry about Drummond making $30 million a year anytime soon, unless he makes some shrewd moves in the stock market.  He's a smart kid - I wouldn't put that past him.

If you think

the decision to choose Weiss over Flip cost the Wings another Cup, you haven't been paying attention to the Red Wings the past couple of seasons.

We have been squarely planted in the NHLs middle-class since our last Cup appearence.  Players like Weiss or Flip do nothing to change that.

Luckily for the Red Wings, we have seen our farm system emerge into one of the leagues elite and have managed to stay afloat despite some decisions that didn't work out.  And it is that farm system that will give us another chance at the Cup, not re-signing a guy who refuses to shoot the puck.

EDIT: No arguments about Hossa v. Franzen.  I think the front office got caught up in their dates of birth and Franzen's magical Cup run and made a terrible mistake.

Outside of Babcock

Outside of Babcock and a few other coaches, Blashill is as good a hire you can make for any team in any situation.  He's a true coaching stud, and someone the Red Wings have been keen to lock up.  If Babcock didnt move on, Blashill would be coaching another NHL team right now.

He's had enormous success in Grand Rapids, and he has a very high level of familiarity with much of this team.  Combine that with our Top 5 farm system, and I'm super excited about the future of the Wings.

Interesting.

Interesting that you'd rank Athanasiou over Mantha.  I'd like to think it's more of a compliment to AA's progress and less a slight to Mantha.  Mantha is still a tremendous prospect - but our farm system is just that good right now.

A potential line of Helm-Larkin-Athansiou makes me feel weird in my pants.

Those of you

who have the audacity to denounce the post-Signing Day actions of these kids: Shame on you.  Seriously, shame on you.  I'd like to believe that perhaps you're just bitter that these kids did not commit to Michigan, but it's also entirely possible you are sociopaths who really enjoy insulting 17 year old children. Do you remember yourself at 17?  Do you remember how impressionable you were?  Did you ever admire or look up to a teacher or other adult figure at that age?  How would you feel if that person got up and left the next day?  It's an incredibly difficult episode for any kid to deal with.

Roquan's coach is absolutely right.  There's little that separates Michigan, Alabama and their ilk in terms of facilities, prestige, etc.  Relationships matter very, very much.  If you're too thick headed to understand that, then stop posting here.  There's a lot of recruits that visit these sorts of web sites, and I'd rather they not see you as a representation of the University of Michigan fanbase.  Grow up.

You're not a fan

of really, really good football players?

Not enough is being made

of how good this signing is for Detroit.

I know it's our immediate inclination to poop on anything the Lions do, but signing Golden Tate was an excellent move - and could prove to be a huge steal for just 31 million.

-As someone above mentioned, his drop rate is the best amongst WRs since 2011.

-In 2013, he led all qualified receivers in Yards After Catch per reception

-In 2013, he also led all WRs in Missed Tackles forced.  He avoided 21.  Calvin, by comparison, avoided 13.

This is an excellent signing no matter how you slice it.  Him and Calvin is a scary, scary duo.

Of course, this will all be moot when Jim Caldwell farts all over him.

Zach McAllister's sentiments

after going through 2.1 innings against the Tigs:

:(

You

are really creepy.

Let's see

The player renderings in the game look exactly the same as previous iterations.

The ratings are dumbfounding as usual.

And the lemmings will continue to dish out $60 for this rubbish.

Good job; Good effort, guys.  Go play a real EA game like FIFA instead.  This franchise checked out a long, long time ago.

(PS: I too am a huge fan of the 06 NCAA soundtrack.  Good call.)

You are correct, sir

And really, if we haven't been so logjammed with second-tier wingers, he would have been up by now.  Hell, he might have been up 2 years ago on some of the crappier teams in the NHL.  He's a damn good prospect.

Yes

Nyquist and Anderson were both eligible.

And it was indeed a ridiculous talent boost.  They were losing that series before they got there.

Yep

Nyquist and Anderson are shoo-in full timers in Detroit next year.  Tatar should be as well.  Guys like Sheahan and Ferraro (boy has he turned it around) have outside shots.  Calle Jarnkrok, who had a 9 game stint with the Griffins not too long ago, has been hailed as the best Swede import since Zetterberg - and indeed he has broken a lot of his SEL rookie records.  He could make the big club straight out of camp next year, though he'll most likely stick with the Griffins.

And I believe Martin Frk will join the Griffins next year as well.  The Vowel-less Wonder just finished up a Memorial Cup run averaging 2 PPG(!!!) in which his team basically raped and pillaged the entire junior hockey world.  I think they went 77-8-5 or something crazy like that.

People should pay attention to the Grifs

Detroit's prospect pool has become pretty deep the past few years, and a lot of these guys in GR may very well be in Red Wings uniforms next year.

Take notice of the job our scouting has done, guys.  With no early picks, we've managed to put together a farm system that's ranked near the top of the league.  Seriously.  Here's a juicy tidbit for ya:  4 different defenseman prospects in the Wings system won their leagues respect Defenseman of the Year trophys - and one of them, Ryan Sproul, was the OHL Defenseman of the Year.  Take a look at the past winners of that trophy.  That is a definitively Big Deal.

So for all of us who are clamoring for more help - be patient.  The future is looking very, very bright for Detroit.  This so-called rebuilding phase is about to be usurped by another era of outstanding homegrown talent.

My take:

Eden Hazard is a tremendous little bitch, and has been for years now.  He fits right in at Chelsea.

Why B1G hasn't won a title in over a decade:

300+ teams

1 champion

Shit happens.

"Yes I went this far.."

Ah, nothing like the sweet smell of seeping douche in the afternoon.  Went this far?  You're a disgruntled fan complaining about playcalling after a loss on an internet message board.  Taking a step outside right now without a t-shirt is more courageous.  Bravo.

The fact that you let stuff like this

upset you, is just so damn disappointing.  And embarrassing, quite frankly.  Step away from the computer, breathe the fresh air outside, and let the 18-22 year olds celebrate however the fuck they want.

Er

You took the minor point I made and drove it off a cliff, but alright?

Wasn't so hot against Rodgers and Brees?

You don't say!

A little brevity is important here.  profootballfocus, which examines and grades players on a per-play basis, had Berry ranked as one of the few CBs in the league with a positive coverage rating.  Regardless of what you may think, the evidence shows he is - at the very least - NOT a bad cornerback.  The Lions are in desperate need of guys in the secondary who don't suck.  As it stands, they've got two average guys(Houston, Delmas) and a whole lot of To Be Determined's.

Big blow for the Lions

Personal conduct aside, this a huge hit for the Lions' secondary.  Berry was far better than most will give him credit for here - he was Detroit's best CB on a per-play basis, and looked to possess some Pro Bowl potential with a full season of starting under his belt.

One of those mid-round picks really needs to pan out.  And soon.

Delusion.

This dude has it:

I'm done. THROUGH with Penn State.

Our leaders have failed us. The Freeh report was all conjecture, and there is damn near nothing to tie Joe Paterno or the athletic department in with this entire mess. Yet, our leaders accepted it without even bothering to READ it first. And they’re going to blindly accept these NCAA sanctions. And they continue to let Joe Paterno be the main scapegoat here.

What is going on? Its one thing for the media to rush to judgement, but our own leaders? This DOES smell like a cover-up, but not one by Paterno. No, this is a TRUE cover-up by the Board of Trustees. They are more than willing to make this a “football scandal” so nobody digs deeper into the REAL scandal. This is not a failure of a football culture, this is a POLITICAL scandal. Where is the investigation into the relationship between the Board of Trustees, Harrisburg and The Second Mile? MILLIONS in campaign donations and state grants were exchanged between the Second Mile, politicians and key Board members – THAT is the scandal and THAT is what the Board doesn’t want to come out. And THAT is why they allow the football team to be the scapegoat.

The Board of Trustees has something to hide. And I will NOT be a part of my alma mater again until they are all removed from those positions.

Satellite view of State College

It may not be in no particular order

But I do see us near the top of that list and I will overreact accordingly.

So the game still sucks, basically

I'll focus on EAs much better FIFA and NHL franchises yet again, I suppose.  I've been dying to get back into football for years, but EA continues to shit out absolute dogshit with their NCAA and Madden lineups.

Randle-el

Let's give this man his due, he is the only reason IU has been relevant in football in years.

If you didn't like BASEketball

...You are, quite literally, a terrible human being.

As a Gunners fan

I sure hope they're not after Dempsey, and it appears they're not - thankfully.  He's a great player, sure, but Arsenal needs to have bigger aspirations and signing a 29 year old forward/mid tweener without great pace isn't a need.  He doesn't really fit in their 4-3-3.

I do hope Deuce plays CL football somewhere, though.

Land Suter

and regardless of whatever else happens, the offseason is an A+.  It'd be nice to land Parise, but that's not happening, and I don't like the price tag for a guy like Nash (huge contract hit, loss of really good young prospects, locked up until 2018).  If a guy like Bobby Ryan is available, he might be worth the gamble - but I'm content with staying put up front and letting our farm system grow.

And if we can flip Franzen for someone, that'd be fine by me too.
