You just acknowledged that Morgan broke out this year? He developed tremendously as did Mcgary his freshmen season. Nevermind just continue perpetuating a myth about Beilein that could have a negative impact on future big man recruiting.
|22 hours 44 min ago||Why?||
Do you think Horford is tough? He is soft and it's been said for 4 years. Not a new development as you want to paint it. Any courtesy he deserved went out the window when he opened his mouth and basically took a shot at Beilein's system. Even if it were true, shut up and move on, no need to say anything at all.

I complimented him as an intelligent guy and said I appreciate his efforts. It is blatantly obvious that he is not a good basketball player at this level though. Horford was just awful throughout the conference and NCAA tournaments. Why pretend he is some kind of big loss? I wish him well and hope the best for him.
|1 week 18 hours ago||Its not that bad either||
I'll be the one not ignoring the elephant in the room and acknowledge that Horford is not good at all. Nothing personal, seems like an intelligent young man and I thank him for his contributions but please don't act like this a big loss. He probably realizes that his minutes will be going to Donnal. This reminds me of when Smotryz transferred and people were freaking out. Horford was basically horrible at basketball.

How about winning a national championship? This board has gone overboard in its insistence that Nik cannot improve. I don't like to be too negative but although Nik played an overall good game against Kentucky, he really struggled if not disappeared in the 2nd half and that included his bread and butter shooting. The 2nd half against Tenn. was another diappearing act so I think there is plenty to improve on. Playing complete games and improving his defense are 2 very large reasons to come back.

Should not be on the field. This staff needs to evaluate their players and determine whether they are guards or tackles and leave them alone. Too much switching around! Dawson is a guard, is that not obvious to even a couch potato like me?

Was very frustrating watching blitzes fail because of huge cushions by the corners which allow the QB to get rid of the ball instantly. Gotta press the receivers on blitzing downs to take away the easy bailout. Playing aggressively also makes the game fun to play and builds a toughness in the players. When you got your corners 15 yards off the ball and back peddling all the time it drains the swagger out of your players.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||And Morgan ends up with 3 fouls||
Im very emotional right now but I feel like Beilein has cost us the National championship last year with sitting Burke so many minutes, and now today with Horford etc. At this level you gotta play your horses and see what happens! I love Beilein, I would not trade him for anyone but he is not without fault.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||Beilein has lost it here||
Does he thinkj Spike Albrect and Zak Irvin can handle this moment against this size and atleticism?
|2 weeks 4 days ago||play the fucking starters!!!!!!||
|2 weeks 4 days ago||Play Morgan||
And go zone.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||One half from the final four||
Ride the starters and we win.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||Ride the starters||
There is no tomorrow, these guys are young and can play all day.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||Note to Beilein||
Your team has ZERO chance to win this game with Horford playing big minutes. Ride Morgan, he only has 1 foul.. Ride him, if he fouls out so be it cause it's the only chance.

Teams can play 4 on 5 but they guard Appling as if he is a shooter? Guarding Appling and leaving Payne unguarded repeatedly? Kevin Ollie is not doing much coaching here.

Crapping their pants. 3-22 from the floor here. Teams completely fall apart against MSU.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Going to throw this in here||
Just a few observations from yesterday:
-Michigan regularly lets teams climb back in games because they get overconfident with big leads. When the team goes on a run, they get too caught up and start feeling so good about themselves that they either force things or settle for shots they can get at anytime. The opposite is what is needed. With a nice lead, the team should actually slow down and work for a great shot and kill off time in the process. Yesterday Walton and Levert needed to show more composure.
-In regards to the inbounding issues, Stauskas should be inbounding. I know Nik is the best FT shooter but because of his lack of elite athleticism he rarely is able to get free for the inbound pass anyway. Stauskas is 6'6 and easily the teams best passer.
-Morgan is a great defensive player and strong as an ox. It is so impressive to me that no one can really move him.
-Hopefully Caris skips the crisco hand lotion for Kentucky.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Horford||
Someone tell him to kick it out every time unless he has an easy uncontested dunk.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Who have they beat?||
NO one, they have 2 RPI top 50 wins on the season, Virginia and #47 Xavier. This game will not be close, UT cannot shoot the ball at all. Teams that might beat Michigan are teams that can score, UM has too many shooters and do not turn the ball over. Come Friday night, everyone will be asking why they gave so much credence to some wins over a spiraling Iowa, a poor Umass and Mercer. This is like bizarro world to me, have you guys not been watching Beilein pick teams apart?
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Beilein||
Was recruiting this kid when he was an 8th grader. Coach K swoops in at the tail end of his recruitment and voila. Duke is a great school and K is obviously one of the best coaches ever, but I dont want to hear about relationships because thats not a priority for some of these recruits.
Same with Booker.

Imagine getting paid to announce college basketball and you are lucky enough to be calling the NCAA tournament and you don't even care enough to know who the winner of the game you're calling plays! Unbelievable to me, but just shows how little these guys know.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Nothing new with Orange||
We knocked off Tennessee and Clemson in recent tournaments also.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Jordan Morgan||
15 points and 10 rebounds. Double double, bang bang.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Wrong guys shooting||
Morgan, Irvin and Walton? Get the shots for Stauskas please .
|3 weeks 5 days ago||You know why||
Because we inexplicably run the shot clock down on our last possession even though the other team is guaranteed to have enough time for a possession. Why do that? If there is 40 seconds or more on the clock just run your offense. This has been happening repeatedly, and we end up with a bad shot with the shot clock running down and then the other team gets a decent possession anyway.
|4 weeks 3 days ago||Morgan||
Should not have been taken out with one foul. Beilein is awesome, would not trade him for anyone, but Morgan was needed in there especially so early in the game so we could get settled in. Just play Morgan, even if you tell him to not contest much at all. Max, is simply not capable of playing at this level down low. Period. The defensive loss was one thing, but the biggest difference is offensively, Morgan is so invaluable setting screens and rolling to the basket that the offense looks lost when he's not in there. Horford has basically been a non-factor the last 3 games. One other thought that bothers me, why do our guards try to force the ball down low to Horford??? It invariably results in a turnover, Horford is not going to finish down low unless it's an uncontested dunk.
|4 weeks 3 days ago||Virginia||
Is going to beat MSU. For MSU, Virginia is just the type of team that will give them fits as they play great defense and can shoot the 3 ball. MSU is poor at taking care of the ball and thrives in transition and Virginia is very physical and will force MSU to run half court offense and take care of the ball. I see lot's of turnovers and knashing of teeth in E. Lansing.
|4 weeks 4 days ago||Reading comprehension||
The point is that the media has gone far beyond what's reasonable praise. Every single one of the ESPN crew picked MSU to win it all. Every single one. The tourney commitee had MSU 14th overall.
|4 weeks 4 days ago||OSU||
Has the best defense in the league and it's a rivalry game, that win depleted Michigan physically and mentally.
|4 weeks 4 days ago||Michigan||
was taken out of that game in the first few minutes when Morgan and Horford were called for 3 ticky tack fouls and Beilein had to insert Max for major minutes. This hype and overreation is unlike anything I have personally ever witnessed as literally every one of the ESPN guys picked MSU to win it all.
