So, what kind of less severe knock out punch would have only merited a 2 game suspension? The damning video shows that he hit her once.
The Onion nails it.
Goodell mishandled the whole thing and made the NFL look really bad. Real men don't hit women or sucker punch people. ... and for that matter, turn the other cheek, and settle disagreements with words.

Other than Holtz and now perhaps Kelly, ND has been pathetic for decades despite great recruiting. God help us if we end up like ND.
The thing about Hoke and RR before him is that we go into games and just look like we don't know what we're doing. Bo/Moeller/Carr would drop a big game here and there, but we were almost always in it. I've probably blocked other games out, but the only game during those eras I can remember feeling truly outmatched was FSU at home with Teague and I think Warrick Dunn.

I agree. Michigan losing is a first world problem. It is nice that our big problems center around games for college students.
|1 week 4 days ago||Still upset||
Still upset. When we went 11-2 I remember being estatic in the games because the coaches actually made adjustments. We seemed to be o.k. until the second missed FG and then the wheels just completely came off the bus. I'm still upset.

...but yours goes to 11? Go Blue! I'd be over if I was in the same time zone.

Michigan = largest living alumni base (not sure how that's possible with bigger schools like OSU and MSU churning out 20 to 40k more alumni every year).
Florida = Lots of old people without teeth.
Arkansas = Lots of hicks and meth heads without teeth.

An ND buddy and a lot of ND posts I've seen have the same party line about Fielding Yost snubbing them and some non-sense about WWII, etc. The problem is that all of them have this elaborate history memorized, including the names of Michigan coaches going back almost a hundred years and they still are douchey enough to say it isn't a storied rivalry. Just like the ND fans, I love beating them and hate it when we lose to them almost more than any other team. I don't just want to beat them, I want to embarress them for ruining something good. North Carolina and Duke?! Come on.

My first Michigan game was my freshman year #1 vs. #2 when Raghib Ishmail ran back two kicks for touchdowns during five hours of rain when no one sat down. That night for whatever reason I was at a frat with a bunch of St. Mary's girls and listened to them talk smack the whole night. To this day I hate ND even more than OSU. I know I'm not supposed to, but I do. I actually wish for OSU to be undefeated every year with the exception of the game.
I wanted us to take ND to the woodshed before, but this is irksome. I can't imagine our team not being fired up. ND is an embarresment to the term tradition.

Despite an insane game from Tom Brady and a victory from Michigan, I am still scared of the talent on the 2000 Alabama team. Those guys were crazy good. That was the first time I heard the term SEC speed, or at least the first time it registered. Not saying they were paid, but Alabama has always had good recruiting. To other people's points, performance on the field does effect the recruiting (and booster payments).

I like MGoBlog because we have grammar police and don't denegrate our opponents with terms like "Sharty" or "Urban Liar." There is a higher standard. Chris Webber aside, I also like to believe that we don't pay our players and win while abiding by the rules.

Bad enough to be going through any sort of crisis, but having to be in the spotlight with everyone knowing that you have some issue has got to suck. Hope he works through it and that he gets the space he needs.

Shouldn't this be called "the Lemon Pledge?"

Maybe the Wisco people are used to drinking all of the time and can handle it. I've been to a number of Bills games and have seen a number of fights, near fights and it can create a scary atmosphere. I wasn't at the game, but one drunk guy tried sliding down a railing and fell two stories onto another fan.

(Sorry, that goes through my head everytime I get one of those coins from the change machine. You spelled it right.)

I brought my wife (then girlfriend) to see the first App St. game and kept apologizing before the game that it was such a bad opponent for her first Big House experience. What happened was truly a Horror, but I managed to keep my cool. My wife says that I was visably upset, but she knew I was a keeper because I managed to be charming despite the results. That was the only good thing to come out of that game. I was thinking about bringing my three kids to this game, for thier first experience, but didn't want to jinx it.

This is great. Thanks. Are the meals parts of the camp, or do you have to bring in your own food? Is there a shooting range at this camp? (I inherited some guns that I haven't shot yet.)
Most importantly, is the lake warm or supercold?

I live in Buffalo and say it whenever I see Michigan gear. A lot of people forget that they are wearing the stuff and they need the MGORecognitionSecond before responding. I wear a lot of Michigan gear and I need the same second. I usually have to look at myself as though my fly were open to realize that I'm wearing Michigan stuff. Most of these interactions happen in airports.
I think it is also appropriate to tell OSU people "Go Blue" when they are wearing their gear and then so as to not start fistacuffs tell them how awesome Eddie George was. (Followed by Biakibatuka stories and fistacuffs if they don't respond well.)

Webber/Cole Harris/Campbell. I was so psyched when we had Harris and Campbell almost a year ago and while I am sorry to see them go, am very very happy to get Webber and Cole in our class. The RB drama has been so long it makes getting Webber a huge relief.
|6 weeks 4 days ago||Cut the Cord||
I cut the cord again recently. Went from $163 a month TWC for the triple play to $61 a month for broadband only. I have Amazon Prime an Ooma landline and an antenna and the only thing I really miss is the Daily Show, which I could get through the CBC if I had a slightly better antenna. I will miss Walking Dead and HBO, but I'll binge watch my shows in a year or two.
I have my cell through work but pay for my wife's. I'm looking into messengers like Tango right now and am thinking one could probably do all of their calls for free through a messenger rather than having the voice plan for your cell. Probably isn't quite there yet.

After the point system breaking on MGoBlog awhile back I am truly in awe of how hard it is to have great user generated content. I acutally often read the comments on MGo before reading the main posts, now that the system is fixed.
Sites like BR that have user submitted articles that follow click bait and SEO rules you get an unholy trinity of crap.

A H.S. friend's son, a member of the Michigan track team recently commited suicide after dealing with prolonged depression. I'm heartbroken for her and her family.
I applaude Will Henniger for coming back to work on this.
|10 weeks 1 day ago||Debate||
I hate that we are in a position with our program where we have to have moral victories talk about eithics and other seemingly immeasurable aspects. I miss the Cooper (Carr/Moeller/Bo) years where we owned OSU despite them being a 10 win team every year.
