You are right. Firing Hoke now is a really bad idea. We have to give him two more years. I am as pissed as anybody and was yelling, "fire his sorry as...." but after cooling down and recognizing the amazing recruiting job he is doing I changed my mind. This team is just not what we thought it would be. That doesn't mean we won't be great. For now we need to wait.
People who hate Dombrowski forget how bad the Tiger Organization was before him during the years when Tom Monahagn owned them. We had no farm system and sucked profusely. He literaly turned the whole thing around. Dombrowski is one of the best in the business.
The Lindenburg book is by far the best. I studied with it twelve years out of school and passed. Right out of school the test would have been a breeze.
I can't imagine how well RR would be recruiting at Michigan if he had one non controversial season. How does he get guys like Dee Hart under the circumstances. He and his staff are great recruiters. If he happens to make it one more season, and Michigan has a 9 wins or better then lookout. The ball will be rolling and we will again be a perennial top 10 team.
DB has contacted Harbaugh and Harbaugh wants the job but asked that he be able to complete the year as Stanfords coach without a media fiasco. Dave Brandon being a honorable man waits until after the bowl game to hire Harbaugh. Lastly, DB saves the Athletic Department something like $1,000,000. Sounds like a perfect way to handle it to me. I think you are wrong about how he is handling it.

Are you seriously dissing Brandon already? Jeesh just because he is making you wait. How can you judge the job he is doing already? This is just weird. There is no way and AD will make everyone happy unless he hired a football and a basketball and within 6 months they won a national championship.

I think a big splash coach is overated. Tressel wasn't a big name coach either. To be honest I think Hoke is as good as Harbaugh. I really think if D. Brandon is looking for coaches he should consider Hoke.
Everyone is talking about Harbaugh as potential coach. I am a RR supporter but entertain the thought of a new coach. Wonder why no one brings up Brady Hokes' name. He coached under Carr the went to Ball State and was very succesfull as a head coach then stepped up to the SDSU job and is doing really well there. He builds programs pretty quickly. What do you all think? Maybe someone can post this as a topic as I am not aloud to yet.
I agree with Punisher as far as leaving it in DB's hands. Brandon knows what needs to be fixed and he will make sure it is fixed. It was his job at Dominoes and he was great at it. He will work with Rich to get it fixed. He knows that he may need to micro manage this portion of his product for a while until it is rolling. Believe me he is smart enough to know one half of his product is amazing (offense)and that he only needs to fix the other half (defense). Brandon will work with RR to give him every chance to succeed. He won't fire RR on a whim because he is scared of angry fans and alum. If he sees it won't work RR will be gone.

What if during the press release today regarding the NCAA decisions Brandon publicly gives RR and extension. It would be great for recruiting and the team spirits. I know it is crazy but it would be interesting.
Great info. I think it would be cool to see time of possession for the whole game in there. I think our D is so bad at getting stops that our offense doesn't have enough time to gain a rythm. It would be interesting to see how many points we score compared to other top offenses in relation to how much time we have the ball. That would be a way to at least somewhat tie our offense to our defense. Thanks again.

Seriously. Please get a grip on reality. I love U of M and believe we will be really good in a few years but seriously. Michigan will loose that game 49 to 21. Ask yourself how many points would Terelle Pryor and the buckeye offense score against a bad FCS defense at home.
I hate to think this way but we are sunk the rest of the season. It doesn't matter if we torch their defense. Ask yourself this question: How many points would Iowa score against a lower level FCS division defense? Unfortunately that's what we have. They will torch us all afternoon and we won't be able to keep up.
I really hope I am wrong but I don't see us winning another game this season. I told my brother after the Umass came we wouldn't win one big ten Game. I was wrong but barely. We squeeked one out in the last minute.

You just can't have just one side of the equation and win. I just hope we win enough to keep RR around long enough for the D to get good. I would really miss this offense if he gets canned. It would be torcher to go back to a Debord offense.
I really don't listen to Defran anymore. I can't take it. He is entitled to voice his opinion but he just ignores any facts which is really irritating. He just chooses not to hear any of the arguments supporting RR and continues on his mindless bashing. I was listening a while back and he was complaining about people wanting him (Defran) fired etc. and ragging on him about his viewpoint on RR however in the same breath he was saying how RR was a terrible hire and should be let go.
He is a prick thats all I can say.
As I said after the BC loss. This team will not make the tournament. It sucks but lets face reality. They are really bad right now and it makes no sense why they are so bad. I just don't understand how we went from a pretty good team to a bad team.
I hate to see any student athletes be total morons and act like the MSU kids did. However, I do enjoy seeing the Free Press exposed and put in a quandary with their credibility.
I agree Purple Stuff. I am sick of the big ten bashing also so, I have to admit I want the Buckeyes and every other big ten team to win their bowl games. However, if they get their butts beats I definately wouldn't be bummed. I think Oregon will be surprised by the Buckeye defense.
Does anybody have any insight, inside scoop or an idea of how long this NCAA investigation could last? It has got to be hurting recruiting. I wish we would hear something sooner rather than later
