I used to feel that way but I came around to it when I talked to a friend who had a customized one. His rationale was that he would be a fan of the team as a whole long after any particular player had moved on so he got a jersey he would always feel comfortable wearing.
Who is this Armanti Edwards you speak of? Surely he couldn't be the former qb of the Appalachian State team that we crushed to open the 2007 season and my first game as a UM student.
I just can't see that. You don't go from an undraftable player to a 1st-2nd round draft pick in one year. Especially when it seems that it was Warren's physical limitations that prevented him drafted. I guess I'm just saying that Warren may have been a good college player but he was never going to be a first rounder
Actually I like the idea of finishing with ND simply due to the rivalry but I just can't see the regular season ending on an out of conference game. It just seems rather anti climactic to finish the season with a game that has little impact upon the Big Ten(Twelve) standings. Plus it is not set in stone that UM and ND are going to play each other every year. With that in mind I guess I'd have to vote for MSU or the best team that gets placed into our division.
I had a spanish class with Sheridan during Lloyd's last year. We weren't close but we knew each other and got along well enough. I can tell you that he was a decent guy and I really did feel for him throughout the 08 season. It's hard to see somebody you know go through that miserable season.
I think you missed the point. It's not that Moon played elsewhere to prove himself, it's that the NFL didn't view these players as good enough to be drafted after their college careers. Proving youself on a NFL practice squad, the CFL, or the Kurt Warner route of arena football is still proving that you belong in the league.
Maybe I'm off base here but my understanding was that even if the CBA falls through in the NFL and there is a strike there will still be a draft in 2011.
Actually Williamson is normally on the show to be interviewed, not to interview others. Jeremy Green, son of former Vikings coach Dennis Green, is the shows typical host and is much better at that role than Matt Williamson. Williamson is only filling in because Jeremy is on sick leave.
My best "Go Blue" was in St. Thomas. I was wearing some Michigan gear and as I was walking an elderly Indian gentleman gave me a "Go Blue" asked if I was a student? We talked for a while and I learned he was an engineering grad from the 60s.
I also found that it seems like UM gear is the most prominent college apparel for sale outside of the states.
It looks like I'm too young to know any of you but here goes
Class of 2009 LSA: History
I lived on North Campus but had all my classes down at Center
I was a transfer from Macomb Community College
I essentialy lived in the Dude studying
Worked at Bursley
I'm old friends with a few engineers of the class of 09
Oh and during my two years as a student the football team combined for a losing record of 12-13
I'd love to join in the fun but I've never played an online dynasty. If you don't mind that then count me in.
GT: Davionace19
I'd prefer Alabama but I'll take Oregon State, West Virginia, and Oklahoma State
Yes and no. You could technically go back and adjust every single players stats, age, and year in 09. Then you would have to manually remove graduates and create incoming freshmen. So yes it is possible but I doubt that anybody will ever update 09 when you can just buy 10 and save a huge amount of time.
I made the same mistake. The problem is that the height, weight, and state don't match up to Teric or Fitz either. HB#34 is too big to be Jones in my opinion and he is from a different state than Fitz. Who is he?
If really depends on what you care about in your games. In my opinion the actual football gameplay is significantly better in 10 than 09.
Also the game mechanics have been changed to balance out the flaws of 09.
-The AI has been improved a great deal in areas such as angles that defensive players use
-AI no longer bites on lame glitches that are abused in 09 such as super juking.
-No more impervious pass blocking
-Passes actually go errant when the QB is hit
-Defenders can really cover
-Scrambling with the QB is no longer the answer to all problems
I guess my only complaint is that EA tried to spice up the atmosphere of the college game and are bordering on overdoing it.
-The band formations are a nice touch but many schools only have generic formations.
-The commentary is only good for making Corso look like a fool
-Erin Andrews serves no purpose other than being the only female in a football video game
In other words do you want 10's better gameplay (feels more like a real game) with too much glitter or 09's flawed game mechanics (every team is essentially Texas Tech) for half the price?
Carlos Brown was amazing for me. One time in an online game Carlos Brown made the other guy furious. I lined Brown up at qb, rb, and slot depending on the situation. This is the only time that I have ever had a player catch, throw, and run for a TD in the same game. If only the real Carlos had been that effective...
I don't know if you know this or not but EA only updates the roster of a game until the end of the season. To get the rosters of the next season and the incoming rookies you have to buy the next game. To some folks having the most up to date roster is a complete must.
McNair was one of my favorite QBs. I was sad to see him retire but I understood. To see him pass away in the prime of his life is completely unexpected and a crying shame. I really just want to hear to whole story when things calm down.
My best guess is that with his skill set Denard will be able to play at: QB, WR, Slot, RB, CB, KR, and PR.
Of course I'm not saying that he will play all of these positions, I am just saying that if he takes adequate reps he would have the proper physical tools to succeed.
1. UM Football/Red Wings: Depends on what the season is
2. New England Patriots: I was a fan before Brady got there.
3. Detroit Lions: I'm a lions fan and proud of it, but I don't expect much from them as long as Ford is the owner.
4. Detroit Tigers: I can't stay too interested in baseball if football or hockey is on but I do try to stay up to date on how the team is doing.
5. UM Basketball: I was never a big fan of basketball but I was fortunate to go to a few games last year and I'm starting to get hooked.
And finally whoever beats MSU, USC, Florida, the Packers, the Steelers, the Titans, the Chargers, the Avalanche, the Penguins, the Yankees, and most of all OSU
I'm not so sure how I feel about that trade. Porcello appears to have a bright future ahead of him. I guess I just don't like selling the future to gamble for right now. I know Porello may never reach Halladay's level but how many years do you think we could get out of Halladay if we did trade for him?

I think he was being sarcastic implying that Barry was a poor dual threat qb and only ran the ball. As you know Barry was an amazing rb though

I'd take an 8k a week pay check and a chance to be called up to the 53 man roster over many other career choices

The online rosters are the rosters that shipped with the game. That is why you still have Dorsey at UM and he would still have Masoli at Oregon
There also was a one year hiatus of michigan football between the 2007 and 2009 season.
I wonder if Pryor has ever sat back and realized that he launched a thousand jokes with that one interview?
You took the words out of my mouth with Armanti Edwards. I would also suggest Dennis Dixon but I try to forget those two games ever occured.
Pride of Detroit is my first choice for Lions blogs. They are a close knit group but they love their Lions. Just beware of the kool-aid
It can't be any worse than a Lions fan, aside from the fact that you likely live in Ohio.
It would only be crazy if it were a mortal punter.
