I'm not arguing your point of perception, but I found this article interesting
"Of all the players in the NBA, Chris Paul had the highest “points added” at 3.48 per game over the 2012-13 season. This makes sense. Most people around the league would describe him as the best point guard in the game. Parker also ranks very well. By adding 1.5 points per game, he is 20th out of 327 players with a qualifying amount of possessions. Ricky Rubio had the lowest, at minus-3.33 points added per game."

minstrelsy by its very definition is a blatantly offensive representation of its subject
tons of 'nerds' enjoy tBBT just fine, and it's hard to see how the characters are being exploited, especially given (from what i've seen) they all are successful in their respective fields on the show and have relationships & other normal living stuff
|33 weeks 3 days ago||au contraire mon frere||
Dads, Whitney, Dexter: S8, Two Broke Girls, 2.5 Men, etc. are irredeemable disasters, and i haven't touched reality programming
which isn't to say, it's good; it's mediocre-to-bad (Wolowitz, Shelden, the guest stars are usually funny enough, while Leonard/Amy Farrah-Fowler/Howard's mother are strong contenders for worst characters on TV)
BUT, it gets singled out in comments like these more than any other show, which is bizarre to me...is it because it gets such high ratings? is it because it gets unfairly compared to Community, which has a rabid following, but shaky ratings?
there are even weird double standards, like the laugh track stuff, for example...Seinfeld had a laugh track, and nobody really ever cared about it
