Our coaches are not the greatest when their talented players simply can't execute. Dropped balls, roughing the kicker, penalty on the td punt return, tipped pass for int, qb throwing a ball that hits line man in the shoulder pad. These are simple things such experienced players should nit being down unless they okay for msu circa the 1980 and 90s.

Coming in, miss the whole point and why sports are such an amazing thing. NCAA athletics is the great equalizer to a broken public school system that under serves and is ill equipped to help students from many communities. I proudly taught and coached that system and was always happy when I could place a student at an institution, technically "above" his or her academic merit. Getting a kid from a crap urban or rural school no one cares about that might be failing and putting them into a rigorous academic institute, regardless of how they got there, is nearly always the best opportunity ithat individual kid will have to date in there life and us a beautiful thing.

Did you by any chance just watch the replay?
|1 week 2 days ago||69 for 69||
You have to give Hoke credit for this...that's impressive given where some of these kids started.
|1 week 3 days ago||I would add||
"10 person special teams strategy failure" to that list.

Reasoned thought processes...it makes carrying this pitchfork difficult.
|1 week 3 days ago||I don't think it's a slip up||
I honk it have him flexibility. If he makes a move sooner rather than later he is a doer. If he does it later, he keeps his promise. If Hoke wins out he keeps him and doesn't deal with the hassle. Crafty academic. Acknowledge the lunch mob and hug them when telling them he is doing the opposite of what they want.

It he seems to have produced before without the qb no. Didn't they crush us pretty good a few years back? He was doing more with leek actively less. Plus he has the thing with urbz, is a bit younger, has sec and no 1 team cred, and is actually a person who might say yes being from the Midwest. Most of all, I linke watching his teams play, they actually seem modern and, dare I say, well coached. I'd take him over a Jim Harbaugh right now.

Db for scheduling hush league school doing bush league chop blocks.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||...||
You mean " like like " or just " like"?
|2 weeks 4 days ago||I can't help but wonder...||
If DB responded himself or his office wrote these. Just shocks the conscious that he would be that dumb to put that type of language in an email. I know sometimes c suite guys can lack judgment but he was in charge of dominoes when they coined the rapid response pr campaign of which fortune 500s follow today. Crazy....power corrupts and dumbs people down I guess.

That wasn't too optimistic....
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Given the win last week, I am going to take||
The fool's opportunity to be optimistic here. While I don't think it's likely we win half of our remaining games, I think it gets increasingly interesting if we win next week. If we win against Maryland thereafter, we are all talking about a win or get fired game for Hoke against osu. That would be ideal from a current fan's standpoint.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Harbaugh||
For ad and football coach. There are 2 of them, no? And one is said to be moody enough that he might count as a couple of people all by himself. Bring them all in and we win!
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Mason and the new interim AD story?||
Anyone catch this? Sounded like Mason and the new interim AD went to a strip club together. Mason referred to an "establishment" rather cagely and quickly changed the subject right after mentioning it.

He's win at West Virginia when it was in the big east and he was atrocious here. What was your high point in that experience? If you missed it, that painful experience was the real fu to us fans. He sucked at Michigan it's indisputable.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||What "support" from||
The university or alums would he need to coach defense? He had all the support he needed. He couldn't produce and couldn't stand the heat. Others can and will.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Yes||
We are not flailing right now because of bad karma from firing richrod or not being patient enough with him, we are flailing because our current regime can't develop talent or teach our guys to execute in game. What is your just desserts for letting nd pass us on win totals? What is just desserts for losing to Mac schools? What are just desserts for coaching the worst d in our history? A bunch of apologists chasing an illusion that did not exist. Good for him for picking the right job for him, we should do the same next time we pick a coach and maybe we can get our just desserts.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||F that||
The rich rod supporters keep trying to outsmart themselves. He was the wrong fit, he had zero results and the fact that the current dumbshit won 11 games with richrod's so called guys is the ultimate condemnation not affirmation that he was turning it around. He was the head coach that oversaw the worst defense in the history of the winningest program ever. Hard to do, but he did it. Good luck to him but thanks for the memories. You people seriously have to move on and stop making false comparisons. Results. Whose got em?
|3 weeks 2 days ago||RR||
Was not the solution to our problem. In fact he weakened our program He lost to Mac schools. He finished over .500 in three years ONCE! Do you remember the worst defense in the history of our program. Good for him "flourishing" out west. He sucked here and we should have known he would. Current guy sucks too and his teams are equally painful to watch.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Can we not talk about||
richRod, that idiot also ruined our reputation and caused me more fan pain than the current schmuck. Toledo!

Nice in summer league. Playing way above my expectations. Good for him and the uni.

|3 weeks 5 days ago||I guarantee...||
Exponentially more MSU folks trot these two words out there every year. Whatever gets you going. If you want to attribute the things other alums like the Unabomber and ann coulter say to all of us...more power to ya'll. Fact is, UofM still lives in msu's brain even after dominating us on the football field for over half a decade. It may be the only satisfying thing left in the rivalry.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Thank you||
They BOTH sucked.
|4 weeks 6 min ago||We have||
A standard of excellence at Michigan and the current regime has not met it. That is why you do so. We have been fair to this Michigan man long enough.
|4 weeks 2 hours ago||I agree||
A message needs to be sent and it can't get worse. We need to out ourselves in a position to get the best coach we can, take our time with the search and restructure the cruitin class (after they all leave).

He sucked at Michigan. Those teams were absolutely awful.
