Nope. This recruiting stuff

Nope. This recruiting stuff is wayyyy creepier.

Scout Scout
Didn't want to create my own Didn't want to create my own thread but i've heard rumblings about a Kiel commitment this week. Anyone have anymore info?
To those who say rallying To those who say rallying point for his burial place, "bring the body back, show it and then bury it at sea". Super hard. I know. What should we expect from a guy with Hussein for a middle name.
Election in the not too Election in the not too distant future, check. People starting to not believe in you anymore, check. I've got it. Say we killed Bin Laden and say we buried him at sea so no real proof exists. We can easily make some fake pictures and nobody will question us bc we're the government. Stupid drones.
Sheldon Day is another Sheldon Day is another possibility. His whole family was decked out in Michigan apparel for the spring game.
Jordan Diamond is who I am Jordan Diamond is who I am thinking.
Your inability to be mature Your inability to be mature when replying to snark is puerile. You've been a member long enough to know how the board will respond to topics such as this. With every insult your point loses more validity.
Moving away from Michigan was Moving away from Michigan was tough but not hearing about Valenti (until now) has been worth it.
This site has been flooded

This site has been flooded with morons as of late. I'm not sure how you could misspell Backus after it was cited on the post you replied to and furthermore Jeff was the best LT in the NFC North in a unanimous vote by all of the head coaches. The MGoBoard has obviously become an uninformed place where stupidity reigns.

Just like the hiring of Rich,

Just like the hiring of Rich, huh?

Rich is gone and no matter

Rich is gone and no matter how much you complain he will go down in the record books as a complete failure, someone who divided the fan base, was coach when Michigan committed serious violations which has never happened in school history, the worst coach in the history of the school, and blamed everyone besides himself when the team didn't perform well. Hoke is the present and the future so get used to it.

Why do you find it necessary

Why do you find it necessary to post that you're pro Rich? It seems like a ridiculous tactic to make sure others don't lash out at you.

Tate's grades are not Rich's

Tate's grades are not Rich's fault. It has to do with the constant instability of the team/program. I mentioned it below. I believe it was a three week string of transfers that he had to deal with earlier in the season and now a player who was responsible for helping this team make a bowl game is unable to play and his future with the team is undetermined? The vultures are most definitely circling.

Unfortunately the media

Unfortunately the media controls the flow of information for the most part and this program is seen in a very bad light because of that. The disastrous record, constant transfers, going through three defensive coordinators in 4 years (which is what will happen if Rich is retained), and all of the personal tribulations that have plagued Rich seem enough to get rid of him.

This seems like the last nail

This seems like the last nail in the coffin for Rodriguez. There has been too much uncertainty and things have been too unstable for far too long.

If the Niners love Harbaugh

If the Niners love Harbaugh how can you know that it is a certainty that he is not coming to Michigan? Discounting sources in the know who are around people with information on the matter are much more reliable than a poster on a message board so why make the contradictory remarks?

It's one last mighty surge

It's one last mighty surge from one and all because in a matter of days this whole arduous situation will come to a close.

I am in agreeance to an

I am in agreeance to an extent but it would be difficult to traverse a thread with 3,000+ replies and read new stances on the matter. However, I will +1 you (which I refrain from along with -1) because of the admirable posts you made the other night on the Michigan Memories thread.

Dantonio's actions are much

Dantonio's actions are much more severe than Tressels because one team had players commit violent crimes followed by one of the perpetrators getting behind the wheel impaired while all the osu players did was sell a couple of the awards they had won. Dantonio will always be in a league of his own.

I believe that the players

I believe that the players did hurt the team and also the University. Suspensions for what should be 38% of the 2011 season from starters will most definitely hurt the team. However, I don't agree with the rule but it is a rule and has to be followed. A statement that was made above is a certain possibility and would negate this quid pro quo between Tressel and the aforementioned players. That can be broken quite easily and this would set a precedent for juniors to were they could break NCAA rules if they had decided to go pro and forgo their senior season.

Actually they are one in the

Actually they are one in the same. As far as game preparation, execution/performance, and the ability to coach the players up I would say that every game has the same defining principles (possibly different then the ones I have mentioned). No one game can be evaluated differently when considering those factors just because of importance. The football season is not the only evaluating principle in the decision so that is something to consider as well.

You can put bgsu on a higher tier than umass but we saw how that turned out. The ability to use some sort of a check list to determine success (whatever Brandon's idea of that is) is the only way to go through the season while evaluating the team and coaching staff.

You aren't understanding so

You aren't understanding so I'll explain (not meant as a dig). As a Michigan fan I don't like OSU. Hate is too strong for anything in life so there is no hate from me. I have always admired Tressel because he seemed to care about his players on a level outside of football. To expand on that an example, although not him, is how I saw Tressel.

For the OSU game Rich held Hagerup out of the game and he wasn't even allowed to travel with the team. This shows that Rich has extremely high integrity and cares for his players outside of football. Teaching Hagerup that football is secondary to following the rules is a tremendous effort to show that he cares about his players more than football players and wants them to become moral men. This is how I viewed Tressel.

To have the NCAA suspend five players for the first five games for breaking the rules it is easy to see that this is a serious infraction. If Jim had any integrity whatsoever he would suspend those players for the Sugar Bowl as well. Although it is not on the level of Dantonio it is still an action which shows that football is more important than development from boys to men in the eyes of Jim.

I'm not one to insult

I'm not one to insult anyone's intelligence so thank you for doing it for me.

1/13 of a season is a small

1/13 of a season is a small sample to make much difference in determining overall success.

A coaching change to Harbaugh

A coaching change to Harbaugh would be beneficial for the defense because of the DC under Jim. If the defensive players have any sense they would realize that Greg isn't coming back and they'll have a new DC next year regardless of a head coaching change.

Saturday is not a determining

Saturday is not the determining factor as far as Rich's job status is concerned. Most everyone on here seems to think that this game is that determining factor but Dave Brandon has stated ad nauseum that he will evaluate the whole season once play has halted. It is easy to see a scenario where Michigan puts a hurting on Mississippi State but Rich is still subsequently fired because again it's the whole season in review. People who have discussed and talked about this to no end should have realized this long ago. I guess that's giving the readers and posters of this blog too much credit.

I always had respect for

I always had respect for Tressel because he had shown what look liked intregrity while he has coached in Columbus. It's apparent that I was unequivocally wrong and osu is the cesspool everyone has said it is.

Thanks for the recap of

Thanks for the recap of everything that had already been discussed on MGoBoard.

Are you the Bill that called

Are you the Bill that called into The Michigan Insider the other day complaining about the station referencing the FreeP?

Michigan Man is the birth

Michigan Man is the birth child of the fan base with the opposite meaning of how it was used by its creator. Rich Rod is a Michigan Man for the simple fact that he wants to coach here. People who reference others or even themselves as Michigan Men are not that whatsoever. No alumni, players or faculty can be considered for that honor. It is bestowed upon the coaches of that fine university and is most definitely mutually exclusive.

Rumors of Harbaugh being

Rumors of Harbaugh being interested in an NFL gig have been much more prevalent than him coming to Ann Arbor. The one bit of information that we do have were his candid comments about the contract extension that was offered. The best opinion about Harbaugh would be that he is unlikely to return to Palo Alto next season. Whether it be Ann Arbor or San Fransisco/Carolina is where the debate of opinions exists.

This must be purely opinion

This must be purely opinion whereas no side has had more favorable information than the other.

Texas is in a category all

Texas is in a category all their own. The sub par season on the field this year should be short lived with that kind of dominance in finances.

Michigan Vs Notre Dame 2003.

Michigan Vs Notre Dame 2003. A friend of mine knew a producer for College Gameday and we were able to talk with Corso, Fowler and Herbstreit. I had grown up watching College Gameday ever since it's inaugural season and I had always wanted to meet the crew.

All three were very nice and I asked Herbstreit what he thought of Michigan and how they would perform that year. He told me that he really saw them making a run at the MNC. He gave some really interesting insight and then Fowler and Corso talked some about how impressive they thought Michigan would be that year. It doesn't sound all that memorable but for someone who grew up watching that show it was something very special.

This notion that Bo would

This notion that Bo would back RR is all conjecture. This is a unique situation to Michigan and if he were alive today it is ludicrous to act as though you know how he would approach it. I will say this though, things would be more clear cut if he were AD at this point in time.

What they've tried to do is

What they've tried to do is shoot down every post that references the coaching change with puerile antics. What they don't understand is that those posts are like the heads of the hydra.

No extremely intelligent and

No extremely intelligent and realistic Michigan fan expected to go 1-7 to end 2009 either.

If you've been unable to

If you've been unable to decipher my point then you must be having trouble reading. I take it that it's easier to post pictures/videos and then defend said acts then compile a sound response. Good luck in the future, though.

It's not naive but the

It's not naive but the readership is subjected to a pro RR view with the help of graphs and charts which make people question their opinion even though the same tactics could be implemented for the opposite side.

The projected record logarithm had my friend convinced we would win ten games. Even though he is an extremely intelligent individual he was swayed by fancy charts and numbers. It seems like many of the readers have fallen into the same trap.

I don't need convincing. It's

I don't need convincing. It's seems as if that is what you're trying to do for yourself. Jokes that are repeated ad nauseum are counterproductive to their purpose. Honestly I don't understand the point of your post. Although I stated that the continual creation of a coaching thread is redundant obviously it was lost on you.

It's not the readers it's the

It's not the readers it's the posters. With a system set in place that plays to the masses it's hard for many to go against that overwhelming opinion and then to see the negative feedback in the form of negative points, which leads to a negative perception of the poster, or insulting retorts.

The information is much more

The information is much more specific than the broad items you receive with the local media but the mob mentality on mgoblog has swayed many weak minded fans into the pro RR camp because of the fear of being an outsider.

Thank you for your completely

Thank you for your completely unfounded opinion.

This site has had an enormous

This site has had an enormous drop off not only from the redundant threads but from the redundant posts. You and your A-bomb friend come to mind.

To think that this site isn't pro RR is to say that peanut butter doesn't taste well with jelly. Basically it's asinine.

He's in denial. Any unbiased

He's in denial. Any unbiased viewer of the site would tell you that it's probably 75-85% pro RR in here.

Cramer lost all of his

Cramer lost all of his credibility after his showing on The Daily Show. I stopped reading after you referenced him.

Obviously it was. What

Obviously it was. What Brandon is doing could be compared to getting in a fight and tying both of your hands behind your back.

Brandon knows what he is

Brandon knows what he is doing. What does Meyer know about being successful?

This is the second year in

This is the second year in the system for Denard. What makes you think that all of these extra bells and whistles will be implemented? If we haven't seen any motion yet then it seems as if it's not coming unless he's waiting for an all senior offense.
