that hover boards existed. Yet here I am, 25 years later, and still no hover board!

You continuously make me look stupid!
Anyways, I think we can pencil in wins all we want. Just don't use ink, cause that shit ain't erasable.
Also, I hate the fact that 6 wins is now optimistic. Oh pre season me and my 10-2/11-1 season. How naive and full of life you were.

I still have a picture of my wife and I (girlfriend at the time) at the game. The picture in the background was 42-3 on the score board. We missed the first score of the game (MSU's field goal) and were there for the next 49. Weird to look at the picture because the stadium is pre renovation and it was the Blue Out game which did not end up looking great.

that you are the type that DEMANDS facts, yet doesn't require the same for himself.
Here is a rehash of what people have said.
In regards to Bacon and Harbaugh
- Many people have spoke to Bacon, who has spoken to Harbaugh. Bacon has relayed that Harbaugh may have some interest in coming to Michigan (roots, love of Michigan etc). This is not a gaurantee that he will come, but there is a zero chance that this is a possibility if Brandon is here. There appears to be other AD candidates that could increase the possibility of him coming here.
In regards to Beilein
- Beilein probably doesn't have a problem with Brandon, but that doesn't mean that Brandon is good for Michigan. Football and Basketball are vastly different at Michigan. Beilein started here with half empty arenas and a decade plus absense from the big dance. Before he raised expectations, getting to the dance and finishing .500 in BIG play was considered a successful career. There were no traditions that were taken down and Beilein's support from the AD (which he lauded of Martin before him when he told RR to come over) has continued. The fact that you use Beilein not leaving as your main argument for Brandon seems to be the ultimate in grasping at straws.
So how about you prove to me that Beilein would leave if we got a new AD and we could get Harbaugh if we keep Brandon, and I will consider your side.

that makes sense. I hate politics.
|6 days 18 hours ago||Gassoff||
In an era of Hobey Baker finalists, and a slew of talent, Gassoff, a scratch player who rarely made the fourth line, had a cult following. He knew what he was there for and played it well.
All the picks from the staff are great. There really are so many great small stories about how much these players are good people. The Denard story is just amazing. It'd be great to hear more of these types of stores than the ones we usually get. How people act when no one is looking type stuff.

|6 days 22 hours ago||Media Emphasis on Defense||
The media is used to the old mantra that defense wins championships since defense is always consistent and offenses can stutter. None of Michigan's teams have had steller defenses and this year should be pretty similar, with I think a few more possible blocked shots.
The problem with this mantra and Michigan is that, under Beilein the last few years, the offense is as consistant as any defense out there. Able to score against long 2-3 zones, shred man to man, and move quickly against presses. So I think it is more young and suspect defense that puts Michigan lower.

If we've only lost to very good teams, then that means that we are pretty good. And if any of these teams can beat a pretty good team(us) then that must mean they are very good. And if all the teams we've lost to are very good....

I was sitting in the back, laughing nervously while everyone else laughed, hoping that no one noticed I had missed the joke.

did the highlighter yellow kill someone in your family?
|1 week 20 hours ago||I stand corrected.||
Add in a "My Child is an Honor Roll Student" and a couple stick figures and you have yourself a classy car.
|1 week 20 hours ago||To me||
That looks closer to the helmet on the left than the one in Funchess' hand which appears more orange.
|1 week 21 hours ago||Personally||
I like the highlighter yellow much better than the orangy color. The yellow pops really well against the dark blue, and also matches the pants. One thing I've definetely disagreed on with some of the older crowd. (that and I also hate helmets with helmet stickers. Like putting bumper stickers on a porsche or Lamborgini).
|1 week 21 hours ago||Or||
he would recruit guys who fit his system and may be recruiting guys he sees that have potential to grow, like Jake Ryan (a three star).
Beilein does the same thing. He recruits high level talent, but only if that high level talent fits within his system. He also identifies guys that are under the radar because they also fit his system and have room to grow.
|1 week 23 hours ago||Sorry to hear that||
I had an old guy that was yelling at me at the OSU game for being in his seat. When I showed him how I was not in his seat when I sat down (he had a cusion to define where his seat was) he then complained about where me feet were directly in front of me. He then yelled "don't fuck with me" and his wife swapped seats and there was plenty of room. Very dissapointing that people are like this. It definitely took a lot away from a great day and game. Wish someone would have said something to the guy for you.
|1 week 1 day ago||Also, Zazu reference||
I've only recently been watching the Lion King as my 2 year old son has been obsessed with it. Weird timing iwth the reference since I had not seen the movie since I saw it in the theatres however many years ago.
|1 week 1 day ago||I always look forward to these||
This was great to see and hear about the changes. It's nice to hear the staff view the fans as fans and not the enemy. Like you said, small steps, but steps in the right direction. The ship may have already sailed, but the Hail Mary's at least show that they haven't given up.
If your friend is looking for suggestions, maybe suggest that Brandon personally take a big paycut to help reduce student ticket prices. If he earned what Martin did, then it'd reduce the student tickets (if there was 20,000 again) by $30 each for the season. Now THAT would mean something to me.
|1 week 1 day ago||Missed Tailgate||
We've finally started a tailgate tradition with friends, wife, and my sons (son walked for first time (significant steps) on golf course last year) of having a big tailgate once a year. This year it was between Minnesota and Penn State. Minnesota had less things going on for everyone. We had a great time, but man, the weather on Saturday could not have been better for a tailgate. I love the fall, and am glad all the fans that went got to have a great time. Football is fun, and I'm glad it was fun, tailgating is fun, and I'm glad people can still go out and enjoy the games and weather.

I can imagine him doing the same dance while waiting in line for a Pancheros Burrito.
|1 week 1 day ago||According to Preseason||
Keep Hoke - Not Keep Hoke
There is a 0.05% that Hoke keeps his job since 8 wins seemed like minimum for him to stay.
|1 week 1 day ago||How come||
Michigan fans are the best ever on a night like Saturday, yet referred to as fickle when they are dissapointed with the teams poor performance. I'd like to see some of this fan appriciation when they support the team when they are losing too.
Sounds like a fickle coach in how he views the fans.
|1 week 1 day ago||I hate the fact||
that people think that a season record above 7 wins is unrealistic, especially when the BIG is as down as it is. I remember not so long ago when 9 wins, in the best conference in the nation, with one less game, was considered just an ok season.
I just don't understand why in year 4, fans are being unrealistic when Michigan continues to regress with 4 star talent. i agree that swapping coaches is bad, but staying with a bad coach is also a poor decision.
|1 week 2 days ago||Loy vaught||
I worked for a moving company in the summers during college. One of my jobs was to pack Loy Vaughts house in Grand Rapids. He was a really nice guy. A few things I remember about it was, he was funny complaining about all the strollers his wife had accumulated, and He was singing U2 off key. It was also when he his knees forced him to end his career and I remember him talking about how weird it was that he was retiring at 35 and what to do next. Really interesting experience with a great guy.

For the players, fans, and coaches. I know it shouldn't, but it gives me hope. Go blue!
|1 week 4 days ago||I was thinking this||
in the post. About how I wa angry at Bando for even planting this possibility in my head. Giving me some random hope. This was presented much better than I could have ever stated, though. Bravo to the OP and Bravo to Brando if this comes to fruition.
