Why the two stories?
I trust you as far as I can throw you. Which isn't far seeing as I don't know where you live and even if I did know, it'd probably be an unreasonable distance for me to travel to you at this juncture in my life, and even if it was a reasonable distance, it still probably wouldn't be far, as I am a little out of shape and throwing another human being (outside of jazz from fresh prince) is probably not easy, especially if you didn't want to be thrown, which I am making the assumption you wouldn't want to be

had trouble eating an Lemonade Icee crammed next to 100,000 other fans, I find some of these new food options to be difficult to consume while enjoying the game. Maybe I am alone in thinking this though.
|2 days 20 hours ago||I'll be at home||
with my two sons (2 months and almost 2 years) alone while my wife heads to New York for the night. Should be interesting trying to watch the game.

|2 days 20 hours ago||Really woke up the crowd||
My friend with went me after my wife woke up really sick. He is a Chips fan and State fan so he had no one to root for. The game being cancelled I think was his best outcome which technically happened.

and the only cure is MOAR FUTBAL!!
Enjoy the game. I think you are around the student section so you should have a great time.
|2 days 21 hours ago||Not the only one||
I was excited too. I thought he was going to be pretty good. Was hoping he'd run like Brandon Minor based on some of his highlights and thought he'd contribute early as a freshman. I also thought that Houma looked good and might get some more carries, so maybe I'm not the best one to have on your side.
|2 days 21 hours ago||I'm no expert||
but our best SS by far over the last 7 years was probably one of the least physically gifted players comparitively. Kovacs was amazing with how quickly he got himself and others into position preplay and was so quick to identify the play, he was rarely beat. On top of this, he was a great tackler, with almost perfect form.
I remember there was a lot of clatter on the board about an eventual "more athletic" player taking over eventually (I believe after his sophomore year) before everyone agreed that he was great and would be missed a lot.
This leads me to believe that SS is a LOT more cerebral than what we believe. This is probably a huge transition for Thomas both in a position change and in how he has to play the game. I'm guessing he dominated HS because he was so much more gifted than other players, and now has to become a student of the game. Hope he does, because he could still be special.
I think this is also similar to Morgan. He came in as a freshman and did ok, and has played well the last 2 years. He was a QB in high school as well and I believe had a high football IQ that has kept some of the more "athletic" players behind him on the bench.

hopefully their safeties are in a similar position.

Would read again!
Love the write ups BiSB. Congrats on the new one. Get your DVR ready because watching a game without interuption from now on will be harder.
|4 days 12 hours ago||So||
You're asking if this is a good idea or not. This guy responds that sitting next to a 1 year old would make his experience less enjoyable and supplying some mgoblog wit. You respond that he doesn't have kids so should not chime in on this. And you label him the jackass?
|4 days 15 hours ago||My own business?||
Not sure what you mean. I provided my advice above. I think tailgate is good idea, and game is bad idea. I also don't see how you believe you aren't doing this for you.
Just because you can't understand why someone isn't super excited to sit next to your kid at a game, or out at dinner, or on a plane or whatever, does not mean that they are wrong or horrible people. That's the point. It might not be the noise, it may be for other reasons.
|4 days 16 hours ago||Easy there||
Many agree (as you can read in the posts) that bringing your 1 year old is probably not a good idea. You have to admit, you are doing this for you, not for your daughter. You will get a photo, but your daughter won't remember this. Your daughter would probably be much happier playing with $2 worth of bubbles.
When I've flown with my son, I could see people cringe when they saw that they were sitting near us. This does not make them bad people for not wanting to sit next to a baby on the plane. Luckily he didn't cry and was good, but there was plenty of reason for them to not want to sit next to us.
|4 days 21 hours ago||This sounds rough||
as a person who doesn't like to miss any of the action, I love the fact that I have DVR. Just trying to get through a saturday game at home with my son (1 last year) while my wife is at work, I am constantly pausing and fast forwarding through the commercials. I don't know how parents survided without them.
|4 days 21 hours ago||I was about to say the same||
I tailgaited the Nebraska game at the golf course last year. My wife brought my 1 year old son a little before the game. He had a great time and we watched the game from the tailgate. He took some of his first real steps on the golf course. I will take him to more tailgates this year, but not to games.
I can't imagine this is going to be a great experience. Not a lot of room, the september games can be hot, and it will be loud. Good luck to the OP. You're going to need it.

a bye week without changing either the offensive or defensive scheme. That'd be nice.

But he put a lot of thought into that punch. He wasn't threatened or in danger. He also ran away and lied to the police as there was no elbow shove or threat. There was a death just a few months ago on a soccer field when a player sucker punched a ref. I don't see a whole lot of difference here except York was lucky his punch wasn't fatal. I don't see how he is being treated unfarely here. I'm sure if the victim was you or one of your loved ones, you'd be singing a slightly different tune.
I don't think he can't still contribute to society, but he has made a long hard road for himself. There was a football player a few years ago that seriously injured a hockey player. I thought he got off easy, but his long hard road was well deserved.

is better than seven army nation along with the Go Blue chant played by the band.
They are both a million times better than Build me up butter cup, sweet caroline, and Don't stop believing, that I believe retract from an intense intimidating atmosphere. If it was just occasionaly seven nation army, maybe a lose yourself, with mostly band, I could live with it. Piped in music to me, detracts as much as it helps.
There have been plenty of times before the piped in music when the big house was rocking. I think the loudest was during the ND game in 2009. Everyone was cheering and into the game.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Yup||
I failed to see this elbow bump that initiated this. And Csonte sure didn't come off as scared until he took off after he laid out the other kid. With the video I hope it is a quick decision to dismiss him permantely from both the team and University.
You know what's tough Csonte? Being the bigger man and walking away.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||I didn't say it did||
however, you were making the point that Seven Army Nation has helped. I believe it has not helped win or lose a game so saying there is the benefit of adding home field advantage is moot.
If you want to say you like it, go ahead, but I was refuting a specific point you made for why it was good.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Home Field Advantage||
I bet Michigan's record (percentage wise) was better before seven army nation.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Wow||
So a public apology from the staff member who went through one of the toughest events one must go through is the same to you as if Brian had just said "shipped these out later cause I made more money if I did, dolla dolla bills ya'll". How can you not see the difference here?
|2 weeks 5 days ago||I don't drink Oberon||
So I don't fully understand why you would be mad about missing the 6th bottle. I mean, think of how much more Oberon will be available to the people in Chicago now, who drink way more beer than where you drink beer. I mean, this makes sense for Oberon since they will make more money, plus it gives people in Chicago (a larger a market) a chance to drink more of the product. I mean what are you going to do, STOP buying more Oberon and drink a different beer or maybe another liquor? HA, you are just mad to be mad.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Those are not in anyway similar||
Those examples of losing money on a new car or buying an old game are not similar. Those are both relatively known at purchase. The fans who purchased the tickets were lead to believe that they were getting a product that they were not going to get. This is not an ethical way to run the AD.
If you are as furgal as you say you are, this should not be a difficult concept to understand.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||I don't have season tickets||
but there are many good reasons to be mad as a season ticket holder that should not be dismissed by Brandon or the commentors on here.
The argument is not whether an outdoor game in Chicago is a good or bad idea. If you are bringing this up in december last year, then I believe you would get a pretty good overall agreement from both season ticket holders and non season ticket holders. I think a game against Wisconsin would be great, as Michigan hasn't played them often and it is almost in the middle of two pretty great hockey powers that are relatively close to Chicago.
The outrage comes from the fact that the AD promised a 15% decrease to season ticket holders and the way they partly accomplished this was to take away a marque game AFTER the season ticket holders assumed (rightfully) they had paid for it.
I am suprised at the number of great commentors that are so obtuse when it comes to understanding where the outrage comes from.

Promises were made
Yet ticket prices higher
It's all your fault sieve
Sorry, I'm an engineer so I don't really understand.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||I heard that||
season ticket holders can get 50% off two pops if they just buy one. That is a 50% savings!! I don't see how people can get upset about saving money.
